As per usual, the inventory in these discount stores is ever-changing - walk in one day, find…read morecertain items, come back the next and those items will be gone and there'll be new ones in their place. The ever-changing inventory and set-up are similar to those of TJ Maxx and Burlington. However, I find Ross probably to be the least extravagant of the 3. This store tends to be messier, has longer lines, the quality of clothing is a little less acceptable, bathrooms are often locked [which is annoying], and sometimes there is an unpleasant smell inside. With that being said, if you take the time to look through the racks of clothing, you're sure to find something exceptional, and at a reduced price! I used to go here all the time for socks. I could get 5 3-packs for under $30. And the brand was Under Armour. This store can get crowded relatively fast, so come early in the morning. That's when I've noticed there are only handfuls of customers in the store. Service is excellent. I've returned clothes here before that just didn't work for me without hassle or interrogations. And the good news is that they'll accept a return even if you bought it from a Ross in a different city. Hold on to your receipt, please.

Wow, Costco pharmacy is going into quite a transformation. If you haven't been there lately, they…read moreare currently under construction in the entire pharmacy area and partially in that shopping area as well. They have the entire area blocked off currently, even the aisles that used to not be part of the part pharmacy are blocked off. I asked one of the pharmacy techs what was happening and was told they are expanding the pharmacy first floor and also building a second floor, which will house all of the pharmacists, where they will work separately. I didn't quite understand what the actual expansion was about. It seems like a lot of work to add a second story so that the pharmacists can be upstairs while the bottom level is used for pick up. Clearly, I'm a little confused on the actual reason for the 2nd story expansion. They also have a new "pay ahead via text" as well as "pick up from a locker" which I think is great. The only thing that's annoying with the lockers is, if you need council, you have to sit there and do it at the lockers at the video screen. It's just weird and will take some getting used to. However, with that said... For what it's worth, I guess it's an improvement over having to wait 20 minutes in line to pick up a prescription. Cheers to not having to wait in long pharmacy lines any more, yahoo!

Prices are moderate if you use discounts or Kohls CASH. As…read morewith all retail, it always depends on the workers attitude on how well they will treat you. It takes more than once causation to cause one to have a bad day or an out burst. I have not had a bad situation, yet, here at kohl's. Most cashier's forget to ask for your rewards phone number and I end up having to look up online the 1-800 number to call to add my purchase. This is a great inconvenience having to call to add my purchase. Some cashier's say your reward phone number is attached to your Kohl's Credit Card, which at times or at least for some people IT'S NOT ATTACHED. Just make sure you tell them to add your phone number to make sure and to save yourself from going through all that trouble.

But, then there is only 1 check out area, with mostly self-checkouts (with no one to assist understanding how to use them) and 1 (ONE) register person with a waiting line of 5-6 customers. So, after having no choice, due to hip pain, I left the 2 clothing items at the self- check and had to endure the walk back to my car. What is so hard about hiring enough people to man more than 1 register and your self-check area?!

I took it back to the JC Penney in Chico, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I find the employees at JC Penney stores to be friendly and helpful. They get 5 stars. I like buying mattresses from JC Penney online or in-store, but their prices have gone up considerably, even the sales prices have gone up. I hope JC Penney makes the smart choices to stay in business and keep a strong customer base.

Now, the store feels a little behind the times - it needs a major upgrade if it's going to continue to be around in the future. Their selection of clothing is still pretty varied - have a lot of excellent men's dress attire, activewear, etc. They also offer home décor and other items like towels, bedding, etc. I agree that occasionally wait times at registers can be ridiculously long. At this point, why not try self-checkout? Sephora is here too, but I wouldn't ever use it because I'm a man. And the store is extremely lively and pleasant to frequent during the holiday season with the Christmas music playing, the decorations, the customers walking around the store looking for gifts, etc. Anyway, this is still a great department store for this city.
