Awesome food and service. We always have high expectations when we go to Tucano's but tonight was even better than we expected. All of the food was delicious. The meats just kept coming and were amazing. Free refills on our Brazilian Lemonade. And the crème bru le was out of this world. We were seated by a large group and we were worried that we wouldn't get any attention at our little 2-person table BUT we got more attention and better service than ever. THANKS Tucano's. read more

I'd like to improve my rating of Tucanos to 4 stars, mainly to take into account their customer service. I'm always impressed and appreciative when a restaurant representative reaches out when they come across a review that doesn't meet their standards. Even if it's their job, it's a good one that shows Tucanos cares about their vision and their customers. I must add as well that I've never been disappointed by the service I've received in the restaurant itself. Buffets are usually automatically disqualified from anything higher that 3 stars, but for Provo this really is always a good choice, lunch or dinner. Something for everyone. My personal favorites are the beef tenderloin, top sirloin, pork loin, and turkey wrapped in bacon. Don't skip the mango cod if/when they have it. Entire salad bar is solid, and don't sleep on the season veggies on the back side. Also be sure to pick up some cheesy bread balls and fried bananas. Pricier for dinner than lunch, but slightly larger meat selection. Just make sure you don't have any meetings immediately after if you come on a lunch break -- "meat coma" will ensue... just embrace it. read more

The guy assigned to our meat table, Griffin, was OUTSTANDING!!!! Everything was fresh, amazing, and the guy literally runs to get you what you need! The server on the other hand was nowhere to be found! Really weird, quite the contrast! Still 5 stars though because overall it was an amazing meal! Dakota is the best server we've ever had from any restaurant we've been too! He can put a smile on your face within the first 10seconds you are there. If you're having a bad day, Dakota will just make all your troubles disappear. He was very welcoming, friendly, funny, considerate and he was very professional and accommodated to our needs and likings. Yeah, this place is a bit pricey, but I think it's worth coming for a special occasion. This year my wife really wanted to go for Valentine's Day, and we're glad we did. Personally, I come for the grilled pineapple. No, seriously, I do. It's wonderful. That being said, all the food here is fantastic. The meat is seasoned and cooked beautifully. The salad bar is impressive. My wife and I both loved the lobster bisque, and I enjoyed the fried bananas. Also, I would most definitely recommend getting the Brazilian Lemonade. It is surprisingly good. Why three stars then if everything here is so good? Well... like I say, it's a bit pricey... and I personally wouldn't ever choose this place over all the other great restaurants in town, all things being equal. read more

Good food! The meats are tasty I really like the turkey wrapped bacon and the steaks. The Salad bar has many options. You will be full if you eat here. The service is usually friendly and attentive. With 7:30 reservations I didn't have to wait a minute over 7:30. The hostess was friendly but no crayons for the kiddos. We were offered about 10 different meats and there were a ton of options in the warm & cold buffet. The limeaids are bottomless and you can change up flavors which was pretty cool- the strawberry was my fav! Our waiter Skyelar was a really nice guy, sweet to our kids (our sons name is Schylar too lol). Anyway food was served hot & fresh- if we lived in the area we would definitely be back a whole lot sooner! read more

We have been to Tucano's a few times and have been moderately impressed- the food here is fabulous. HOWEVER. We were there for an hour and a half tonight and they refilled my drink once, even though I asked probably 6 times. The servers were rude and didn't seem bothered that they spilled all over our party! My shirt is ruined, my niece was burnt multiple times, and we waited for a good 20 minutes with nobody walking by with food. We paid close to $100 (because it's mother's day they charge double?? Im not even a mom) for probably $25 worth of food. The last (and biggest) issue we had was that we had reservations a week in advance and we weren't seated by our party. We will not be returning to Tucanos. read more

My only problem is that it's expensive for how little I can actually fit in my body. Also after a while all the meat starts tasting sort of the same. Mediocre at best. Salad bar was mostly pre-made salads. No mixed greens or romaine. Only iceberg and spinach. Now to the meat. Most of what came out wasn't all that great. Pulled pork and the brisket were prepared similarly. Think goopy and syrupy, and luke warm. Some of the meat was overcooked and dry. Best items served were the dry rubbed chicken, grilled pineapple and garlic Parmesan beef. Service was good. They made an effort to bring more non beef meats per our request. It would have been nice to have some entrees to select from rather than the all you can eat option. If you prefer quality over quantity, head somewhere else. read more

I am visiting from California and loved this place!! We don't have places like this in Orange County, or that I know about. But it's so different and such a great experience! All the staff was amazing! Super friendly & attentive & made sure to tell you their name & frequently asked how we were doing. Our waitress Shannon was super sweet and loved how she says "y'all"(because she's from Texas) :) also the manager Jacob (who is super cute) makes a point to go to every table to see how everyone is doing.
