Honestly, maybe even a little too fast, we started to get piles of meat on our plates. Their salad bar is ok, the main thing I grab from the salad bar is their mashed potatoes and cheese bread puffs. Their meat options are nice and tasty. Their top sirloin is a favorite, and their sirloin wrapped in bacon. They also had a good garlic chicken that I hadn't tasted before. Their grilled pineapple is also tasty! I was surprised at the amount of families that I saw while we were there. We drive all the way from Slc, because this location typically has the best service. Waiting staff is good, meat servers are amazing and things typically are consistently good, especially the food. This year, without notice, they decided they wouldn't honor any birthday discounts if you came earlier than the birth date. Totally ruined it for us. We made reservations the day of for 15+ people and they were able to accommodate us. The tables were split into two but right next to each other so that was pretty nice. When we got to the location, we were able to check in and seated with 8 people as we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. Our server was pretty accommodating to our large party size and very patient too. She took our drink orders and promptly brought them out. She also made sure our beverages were constantly refilled. I got the Brazilian Lemonade ($4.95) and was able to try a bunch of flavors since you can change it up each refill (the drink so bottomless LOL). My favorite flavor was the guava! So definitely try that one! The meats were brought out pretty often and since we had a large party, they usually run out and run to grab more. They also had different varieties of how well the steak is done depending on the people's taste which was pretty accommodating. Though not on the menu, there was also chicken hearts available which I thought was unique!! But there were veggies, chicken, beef, and pork dishes brought out constantly. The food here was amazing, with one of my favorites not being the meats but the grilled pineapple (abacaxi). The pineapple was warm and super flavorful and juicy, I've never had pineapple so amazing before!!! This was definitely one of my favorites and the highlight of the meal. If you're tired of meats you can go to the salad bar and get salads or cheese/meats, sushi rolls or even go to the hot bar and get pastas, plantains, soups, and the classic pao queijo. I love how fast and responsive the servers are. Both the meat servers and table assistant. The food is good, great for the price, and cooked how I requested. There is one problem for people like me who can't block out background noise. There is a fan or something above the grill that makes a constant high pitch squealing noise. I would say 95% of people won't even notice it, but I am very sensitive to background noise. I have mentioned it to management a few times, but I have been there over a dozen times in the past three years, and it still squeals. That is the only reason I knocked off a star. read more

Such a weird experience, waitresses yelling, hair in the self serve food, watered down drinks, the holiday set up was cheap metal chairs, either no music and you could hear everyone 20 feet around you, or too loud talking. The food was old, stale, it was far from fresh, reheated old meat. I usually review most places with grace. This place shouldn't even be serving food, what they serve is not food. Fruit flies everywhere, gross. I was appalled they they would serve old meat, over salted, old meat. Did I say old tough meat? The service was wack, bunch of kids hired without any customer service skills. One of the meat servers rolls her eyes so far back you'd think it might get stuck behind her head! I was in town for business and invited my 85 year old mother to dinner. My mother is the best. She raised 9 children and loves her grand and great grandkids. So, to pick a place for the best mom was not hard for me. Tucanos. I dropped my mom at the front and went to park the car. By the time I got in, mom was sitting at a table. As for the ambiance, if you are looking for a quiet place, this is not it. It's a bustling restaurant that serves the food hot, fresh and cooked the way you want it. Our hostess was special. She could tell that mom was a bit hard of hearing, so when she would check on us, she would go right by mom to ask how she was doing. I appreciated that. We loved going to Tucanos when it opened in the Riverwoods almost 20 years ago. We moved away for many years, and were excited to try it again while visiting a few weeks ago (midday on July 19th). For the amount we paid for our party of 6 -- I'd expect significantly better food, service, and professionalism. Most of the meats were overly dry, but the grilled pineapple, a couple of the red meats, and the salad bar were ok. The servers bringing the meats/veggies were working hard, but there were a couple of female servers who I can't describe as anything better than lazy. One never bothered to bring us water until we tracked her down to ask for some, which she had someone else bring and they set them at the end of our table for us to distribute ourselves, and never came to refill them or ask if we needed anything. The other chatted with the people seated next to us (she seemed to know them) for well over 10 minutes until I think she heard me complaining about the poor service, when she decided to finally stop shooting the breeze with the table next to us and bring us our check. They could save money and do away with quail eggs, they don't add anything. I don't love most of the beef, but I'm never a big beef fan. Much better than the last time we had come (during Covid). All the meat selections we tried were cooked wonderfully and the salad bar had great options! Our servers were helpful and kind. We had a high chair for our baby and we felt like everyone was accommodating of our small children. By the end of the meal we were totally stuffed and satisfied! I had forgotten just how good that pineapple really is, and I could keep that bacon wrapped turkey coming for days! I really appreciated the sanitizing stations and signs they put up to keep us all healthy. The only thing that could have been improved was the greeting we had as we entered the restaurant. Many stressed and panicked people kept coming back and forth from the front desk, and we were asked for our information more than once. We were planning to go tomorrow night for my husband's free birthday meal, but yesterday he realized the app had changed. After updating it it did not show a birthday reward. Amazing service! I have been to other Brazilian Grill restaurants, and the service is far from this place. Our waiter constantly came over to check to make sure our drinks were full and asking if we needed anything. The meats were tremendous and cooked very well. It does the job for Brazilian bbq but I've had better. For the price it isn't too bad. RSVP process: it can be very difficult to get a hold on the restaurant by phone. I had to call multiple times and a few times it went all through the end only noting I could not reach the number. There was no voicemail or automated system noting any information or even hours of operation. When I did get someone on the phone, the person who took my RSVP was very kind. She asked whether or not I needed a high chair or wheelchair access and although I did not, I appreciate that the care of customers was visible. I ended up having to call back the following day to adjust my headcount and the next person who answered was also very kind and happy to help. Environment: Parking can get busy as I believe it was near a shopping center. The spots are also more meant for compact cars. The restaurant itself is not as big as I imagined but the seating was spaced enough from other guests that our party was able to hear one another well. Check in: host was able to get my name from the rsvp and seat us within 5 minutes since our entire party was there on time. Dining: our server took our drink orders and was helpful for our party members whom have never eaten at this type of restaurant. I thought it was interesting when IDing us they took our ID with them elsewhere to check. Maybe more normal for Utah but new to me. The people bringing around the different meat options also were very accommodating and never missed our table. The meat options were less than the other Brazilian bbqs I have been to (No lamb, beef rib, etc). The top meats we enjoyed were the garlic Parmesan beef (picalho), linguica (Brazilian sausage), grilled pineapple. I typically like picanha but it was just ok compared to the garlic parm beef. The salad bar was ok, a little messy but accessible. Some of the items were missing labels. One part of the bar was a bit too close to where meat was being picked up by servers which somewhat felt like it could be a hazard but luckily no accidents witnessed and their servers made it smoothly around the restaurant. Overall it is Brazilian bbq and offers many of the typical items you would see both in meat and drinks but the food itself didn't stand out to me.
