Really good really solid. Sometimes the meat can be cooked too much. But I've never had a mediocre or bad experience.

Pros: Service- the staff are numerous and attentive. Cons: Loud Crowded Skimpy servings of meat. Low grade meat choices. Prosaic buffet. This is the McDonalds of Brazilian grills. I've been to many Brazilian grills all over the US. This place made me homesick for all the others. read more

I don't know if I was starving after an event but this recent visit tasted EXTRA amazing. Everything I ate was like I was on cloud 9! Why were these cheese balls even better than the last time? Was it because they just brought out a new batch and I had to eat the amount of bread that matched the cost of the meal?! I don't know! Meats were on point, cooked well, not burnt to a crisp, seasoned well. I felt like it was rapid fire serving at one point since there were 6 of us and they were closing in an hour, but I'd rather have that than no one coming by at all! Parmesan pasta salad, mashed potatoes, Alfredo pasta, mozzarella balls...yes yes and yes. My siblings also loved the stroganoff, a soup (unsure of the name) sushi and other pasta salads. Server Chris (his last day was 11/5) was super nice and polite, engaged with us in a non-awkward or annoying way. Drinks were continuously filled and dishes were removed promptly instead of letting it pile up. Surprisingly it wasn't busy for a Saturday night but it was perfect and we had enough room for us without a long wait. When Tucanos first opened up years ago, it felt a little higher end dining experience. It's gotten very popular and more crowded in recent visits. We still go, the choices of food is still very good. Just feels a little more like an all you can eat buffet regular restaurant rather than a nice Brazilian restaurant experience in my opinion. It's always super busy so I would recommend a reservation for sure. The staff has been good and not really had any issues there. read more

Horrible Start to a Great Evening, We try to go to Tucanos Grill in Orem whenever we're in town to scratch our "Brazilian Itch". Going in without reservations for a party of 14 we looked at a 90min wait. 10min later we told the hostess to change our party to 7, since some of our little ones couldn't wait that long for food. Trying to shorten a long story, our reservations weren't updated and the wait was much longer than 90min. When their were ready for our party we found out they didn't update our reservations. Nicole, the store manager overheard my wife's conversation. She escorted us to our table and asked my wife the repeat what she told the hostess. Nicole said we could have been seated much sooner, she apologized and offered free appetizers and desserts for the inconvenience. We were grateful for the complimentary dishes and we satisfied with how Nicole resolved our situation. At the end of our meal Nicole gave us a huge discount. Hit and miss. While certain meat cuts were appetizing, for the most part almost all of the offering were overly salted. Salad bar was meh and the rice was out there too long with bits of dried grains which tells me that they have not changed or kept the rice fresh. Price wise it's ok, but in hindsight it might have been better to go to chuckarama or other buffet offerings. Also, the place was packed...like 100% capacity. Coming from area where it's been 10-25% capacity since last year, it was unnerving. In hindsight, I'd spurge more for a better meat eating experince or go to a lower offering. Atmosphere is great, and the food is really amazing, you have a variety of stuff to choose from at the buffet bar. Everything from salad to Staple Brazilian food. And they bring around a variety of cuts of steak and chicken, as well as some fish and turkey. The Brazilian drinks are also really good, I recommend the guava one. It is a louder restaurant, but in small groups you can still hear each other just fine. read more

Alright I spent a couple of years of waiting on tables at Fogo De Chao prior to eating at Tucanos. When I saw this place, I saw it had 4.5 stars and I thought it must be pretty good. Pro's: low prices ($25ish) Cons: low quality Alot of the terminology here is not worded correctly for me to feel like they are fully respecting Brazilian culture and cooking. They don't call the people with the meat "gaucho chef's" and most of the meats are not nearly as high quality. It took 20 minutes for me to get a water upon arriving, I didn't order anything else to drink either. Advice: Increase the quality of meat and increase the price. You will still have high numbers as far as reservations go and people will leave happier. And also put some effort in to make sure people have an understanding to the background to this type of cuisine. You can do that by using Portuguese words and adding more Brazilian inspired decor. Also, bring the Pão de Queijo to the tables automatically instead of keeping it at the salad bar. If you do this, people will eat more of the bread and get full faster, and eat less meat, and we all know which one is cheaper. read more

I went to Tucanos today, for Mother's Day, and we honestly had a bad experience. We asked the waiter for a spoon and when he arrived he threw it at us on the table, I don't know if it slipped out of his hand but he seemed so rushed that he didn't approach properly to hand it to us. Then when we asked for the bill, the lady charged us for my 6-years-old son, and she said that he looked like an older child (she assumed that) that's why she added that cost to the bill, then I asked her to fix it and her attitude changed, she behaved rudely. Finally, we had a cake to redeem, and she said that she couldn't redeem it because she had already charged us the bill, but we had told her beforehand. I never in my life thought I would give Tucanos such a low review. With that said,I will explain why. I have defended and even gotten in a fight with a few family members saying that the Tucanos in Orem is the best one to go to. Until to my surprise I see what they do and did to us this last time. As we were eating and requested one kind of meat that would never come, one server brought it. It was so unrecognizable and tasted horrible. Besides that the other server that was serving pineapple, who ignored half of the table that asked him for some, but he just took off. If that wasn't enough, our waiter, Josh, was a class act! When he brought us the bill, I was paying for the couple that was with us. He had a free meal for his birthday, but I payed for their bill with ours. Both of our meals together was a total of $156 or $157. He didn't give us a receipt. And it doesn't show on my Tucanos club. He told me that I didn't have any rewards to redeem on my Tucanos club. When I was paying, we first paid the larger amount, and I gave him gift card. Whatever was left was supposed to go towards the other one that was like $33.00. I would have left all my gift cards about $44. 00. And I was telling him that we would leave them the whole two hundred and add more as tip. He tells me we can have tip out of gift card. Which is not true. Besides that. He didn't even give me back the card that had money left on it. Then he comes to us and tell us that he okay us to go. The worse thing is when I look in my Tucanos account he used rewards from it (the ones he said I didn't have any) besides $10.00 towards my bill, +250 points and the next day someone got a dessert for free under my account. How do you like that?!!! The worse is when I last went to Tucanos, that was just in February for my niece's birthday, we went to the one in SLC, I had that $10.00 and two free meals in my account. The waiter in the SLC Tucanos asked me if I wanted to use them, I asked her if they would expire and she said that they wouldn't, so I said no. She used some rewards as well, even though I was saving them to go with my girls. You just can't trust them. And I tip well, not this last guy. So be aware! He was not even a good waiter! read more

I was brought here for dinner on a Saturday evening so the place was hopping. The staff was friendly and prompt, the food was hot and delicious and dinner was really fun. Our reservation was for 20:00 and the only downside of that was they were out of my girls preferred dessert. Overall the evening was a great experience and Im looking forward to my next trip. We love Tucanos. Who can turn down all you can eat meat. The meat is always good and they have a wide variety of things at the salad bar. I keep that to a minimum because...Meat! They have a lot of good options. We went at dinner time, which has more fancy meat. We typically go at lunch because it is cheaper. Dinner for two can get quite pricey. They are doing a good job during Covid with making sure people sanitize before going to the buffet. I did find it odd though that the tables weren't distanced. Great staff, great food, great vibe. The grilled Pineapple, New York Sirloin, Garlic Parmesan Chicken, and more are definitely favorites. Everyone was friendly and helped make sure the stuff we liked best was brought back. My only complaint is that with our current budget, we couldn't afford to pay for all 6 of us. We were going out of a request for my brother's birthday and he ate free. This place is ALWAYS packed on the weekends. Make sure to make a reservation. We had an AMAZING server, Parker this one's for you, best server I've ever had at Tucanos! Our server told us they were known for their Brazilian limeades and he was right, one of the best drinks! The alcoholic beverages are not strong at all, and had very little beverage at all for $11 so I wont be getting that again. I know they're known for their all you can eat meats but you CANNOT sleep on their Alfredo sauce and their mashed potatoes! Their potatoes are FIRE. You must always try their chicken hearts at least once, I like to say they taste like mushrooms. My favorite thing on their whole menu... THE GRILLED PINEAPPLE!!! The only reason they didn't get a 5 is because some of the meats were cold, and I got hella food poisoning 2 hours later. read more

I come to Tucanos every year for my birthday. The food is better than the price. True it's not cheap. But it's worth it.

The food is good but we are very disappointed that we came in to celebrate our son's birthday and because his bday is the following day on a Sunday when they are closed, they wouldn't honor the birthday club free meal. We asked the manager and they wouldn't budge either. We liked it better when you got your free birthday meal during your birthday month. Either way you get the same 30 days so it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't honor it. Who wants to wait a week to go the following Saturday when celebrations happen the weekend of? Tacky! Please change it back to the birthday month anytime. It makes it easier to celebrate with a family group. The manager knows he has the the ability to adjust the price so why would you make an unhappy customer by not accomidating the day before when you're closed on Sunday? read more

Great food and dining experience. To be the best value, come hungry, eat a light lunch, and must be a carnivore. Pricey for veggiesaurs. You can't eat enough salads, soups, and pasta I think. The cheeese bread balls and fried plantains are a trademark item. I've been to Brazil and ate frequently at churrascarias. Unfortunately, they were soooo busy we couldn't get a table until 9pm. Crap! So, we didn't eat there that night. Well, I was bound and determined to try this place because they must be good if they can't seat you until 9pm, and the reviews were looking great! I was going be back up a couple weeks later, for another event. So, I called ahead and make a reservation, two weeks out! We had three in our group. Two of us enjoyed the many options at the buffet. Not me though... I was there for the meat!!!! AND the meat definitely delivered!!! Seriously, all I ate was the meat! The options were crazy good! They were all cooked perfectly and had AMAZING flavor!!! Our waitress was super friendly as were all the servers bringing meat! With the cost of everything going up, the amount of high quality meat, $30 per person is a damn good deal! You would pay that at pretty much any sit-down restaurant for one kind of meat and two sides... So when you can have an endless amount of a variety of meat and sides, why the hell not! I will definitely be back to this location the next time I'm in the area!!! And seriously, please consider opening a location in Cedar City! I would be a weekly patron!!! read more

We had made reservations for our special evening. We received a call 1 hour and 12 minutes before our 6:30 as we were on our way. The caller left a message stating that the reservation was cancelled due to a grill fire. I'm not sure what actually caused the fire, but in my restaurant experience, it's due to lack of maintenance. We requested some type of compensation to show the good will of the company. The manager responded that NO compensation would be given. Poor customer service on their part. Yes, I recommend this business. Service and food are both excellent. Our server, EJ, was super kind and attentive. Maury and Emiliano were our main rodizio guys and they kept coming by and bringing the good cuts. We came on Fathers' Day weekend and they were running a special. The cheesecake was outstanding. They are very welcoming and it is quick sometimes you have to make reservations if it's on the weekend. I recommend it and the lemonades are very good.
