This was such a treat and I can't believe it took me so long to discover it! Immediately greeted by a great atmosphere of chatter and welcoming decor. The manager, Angie, seated us with a big smile and such friendliness. I was giving this a big ol' thumbs up before even trying the food! Our server was helpful with recommendations and fast with the coffee. Menu has a good variety. I'd say pretty typical pricing, leaning on the pricey side for diner food, but worth it. Food was tasty and atmosphere was fun. Will absolutely spread the word and be back soon!

Do not let the name fool you. This restaurant was tasty and full of laughs! right when my friend and I came in we were greeted by the waiter. He was an older gentleman who has spent years working in the hospitality business and it shows. This restaurant focuses on burgers, fries and steak. I had the buffalo ranch wrap. The waiter told me it would be big but I had no idea how BIG it would be. They could have been a bit more heavy handed on the heat but that is okay. I did order a side of fries. Fries have a special place in my heart and they have to be HOT and they were. Yipeee! My friend ordered the steak. I was a bit hesitant but the meat is from a local butcher and was seasoned and cooked to perfection. My friend prefer medium. Not my cup of tea but it was delicious.

This is hands down the best kept secret in Vaughan. Everything on this menu is ridiculously good.

Tried it with a few coworkers. Yellow seems to be theme color inside. Trying to be trendy, but somehow misses the mark. Food was greasy and server needs more training. Just wasn't up to par overall. For the high-end prices we expected more. Will return to nearby establishments; Symposium, Stackd, Coras, Boom, GalaxyDiner.

I wish they would stay open 24 hours. Tubbies is worth more than a 3.5 star. I enjoy the big delicious menu, big portions and good staff.

A Hidden Gem with NYC Vibes & Central Perk Charm!…read more Took my bestie to Ravine Cafe today for bunch to celebrate her birthday, and we are still buzzing. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere hit that perfect sweet spot, that classy but cozy, with a definite New York City energy. Think lots natural light with big windows, warm and welcoming lighting, and that effortless "cool" that made us feel like we have stepped into Central Perk. Only things missing is the big orange couch and the oversized coffee mugs. The menu? Bougie without the sting. We both had the eggs Benny, while mine was the Cajun shrimp (unique and flavourful), hers was the classic bacon Benny. They were both beautifully plated, yet surprisingly reasonable for the quality. What really sealed it was the service. Staff was attentive and smiley, but the owner stole the show, came by, chatted for a solid 15 minutes, and shared the restaurant's backstory. Felt like old-school hospitality, not rushed commercially influenced like most of the commercial restaurants in the area. Perfect for a brunch gathering, a date, or just pretending you are in a rom-com. We will for sure be back, and with more friends. Thank you for the great service and amazing food!

From the cuisine to the exceptional service, every aspect of the event was meticulously executed, leaving a lasting impression on me. The culinary team at Doctor's House truly outdid themselves. The steak was cooked to perfection, with each bite tender and flavorful. The salmon was equally impressive, with a delightful balance of flavors and textures. The potatoes, which often tends to be an afterthought, were actually pretty good. it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The dessert course was a delectable in sweetness and creativity. Each bite was a delight, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Doctor's House boasts ample parking, which was a huge relief, we had no issues with parking, there is accessible parking as well. Furthermore, the venue itself is beautifully decorated, with elegant touches and plenty of natural light. The staff at Doctor's House were exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The service was seamless, with each course served promptly and with a smile. There was this particular gentleman who kept ensuring our table had enough water and drinks (sadly forgot his name). Attending my friend's wedding at Doctor's House was an absolute pleasure. I would highly recommend Doctor's House to anyone looking for a venue for a special occasion. It's clear that the team is dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for every guest. One of the things that originally made Bready stand out for me when it opened was the pancakes. They were exceptionally light and airy, with a texture that reminded me of Japanese-style soufflé pancakes. On this visit, however, they seemed much denser and closer to conventional pancakes. I'm not sure whether the recipe has changed or whether this was simply an off morning, but it wasn't the experience I'd come to expect. There were also a couple of aspects of the service that I think could be improved. The pancakes took long enough to prepare that my coffee was either cold or already finished by the time they reached the table. Going back to the counter to buy another coffee isn't a great solution because the pancakes then begin cooling while you're waiting in line for that second cup. It might help if customers ordering pancakes were asked whether they'd prefer their coffee served with the meal, or if staff simply checked whether they'd like a fresh coffee when the pancakes are ready. I was also surprised that butter isn't served with the pancakes unless requested. When I asked for it, it arrived straight from the refrigerator, so it was too cold and hard to spread easily or melt onto the hot pancakes. A small dish of room-temperature butter would make a noticeable difference. I'm writing this because Bready has been one of my favourite breakfast spots, and I'd genuinely like to see it continue to excel. I hope this visit was an exception rather than a sign that things have changed.

I got a beef bureka - $6.50, a rugalach - $2.95, pistachio cube croissant - $7.25 and a regular coffee - $3.25. The staff that helped me was nice. Unfortunately their pastries didn't impress me. They have many locations around the GTA, so I suspect the pastries are bakes elsewhere and have to be distributed to their various locations. Because they aren't baked in house, I found the pastries lack freshness. I was disappointed that the beef in the bureka was served cold and the other 2 pastries didn't have the crispy bite I usually enjoy with fresh pastries.

I really love the atmosphere they've created which has thoughtful seating, great decor, and a niche, cozy feel. For my first visit, I went with their Smash Burger ($9.95) and upgraded to a double for about $4 more. The pricing is pretty reasonable compared to other smash/gourmet burger places. The burger features dry-aged, house-ground Canadian beef chuck, smashed thin and crispy, topped with cheddar, S&S smash sauce, S&S pickles, caramelized onions, and shredded lettuce on a freshly baked potato roll. The bun isn't the most "pillowy" soft I've had, with a slightly brioche-like top, but still delicious and elevated. The seasoning on the edges was a bit salty for me, but once everything came together with the bun and condiments, it worked well. Simple, classic, and satisfying. Service was friendly, and there's ample parking. They offer online ordering, but I recommend going in person for the full experience and to pick up their stamp card (buy 10 burgers, get one free, and yes, you can redeem it for a double). Next on my list to try: their Montreal smoked meat. A hidden gem and great find.
