Fresh Burger is literally just that - the freshest (and best) burger I've ever had! I'm from the USA, but I don't think I've had a better burger than here in Canada thanks to Fresh Burger. I usually get the Freshburger combo #1, which has cheese and one smash patty, and I ask them to load me up on the veggies. The combo comes with fries and a drink, and I upgrade my fries to the Cali fries- similar to In N Out's animal style fries which include their special sauce, caramelized onions, and cheese (you can also add other toppings too; my fam likes to add the spicy jalapenos and mushrooms). The service is always 10/10; everyone is super nice plus I love that they put each person's order in its own labeled bag! The restaurant is also pretty clean and the ambiance in general is very minimalistic - it's clear that the star of the show is the food! The classic as you'd expect it: 100% angus beef patty that's lightly seasoned to preserve its juicy flavours, and not bland like ones I've had at Five Guys. It's a little more pleasant too when the meal is served up by an enthusiastic owner at this new location. If you're looking for fancier options, you will be disappointed by the back-to-basics. As a bonus though, you can upgrade their combo fries to poutines with a Yelp check-in. Coming here is easier than firing up your own BBQ in the middle of winter. Fresh 'real' burgers at an affordable price! Ordered from their website. If you sign up to their newsletter, you get 15% off with your first order. It was quick and easy to navigate through their website. The only thing that I had trouble finding is inputting the promo code. You need to sign in, then click on the navigation bar, add promo code. This is before inputting your order. As for my burger, it took about 20 mins for it to be ready. You get a notification that they received it and it's being prepared. Staff was nice in general, easy pick-up and everything was piping hot. Burgers itself were fresh, cheese is melted and the fries were not the frozen type. Came during grand opening period and received a fresh burger on the house. It was a 4 oz patty, with tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, cheese, and onions. The burger was quite small. Taste was alright, not too greasy. Wasn't too impressed with the lettuce; I like it when it's just a huge leaf rather than the sliced up ones you get from those salad bags. Definitely feels healthier than a lot of other burger places though, and the texture of the meat feels like meat. We also ordered a poutine. It came in a small styrofoam container. Reason for Visit: We the north! Dropped by the popular burger joint for their free 4oz promotion. Menu: Normally their 4oz combo is ~$10 so this was a great promotion worth my trip. The burger was FANTASTIC. It was juicy, big and quite flavorful. I unfortunately didn't get to eat it fresh from the grill, but even sitting in the car for ~15 mins it still tasted amazing at home. FYI, they literally do make the burgers fresh as the name suggests. Their poutine was super generous on the cheese/ gravy/fries ratio. However, I do wish they give you a bigger portion as they do charge a bit more than usual poutineries. Service: I don't think I had ever been to a burger joint with friendlier and more energetic staff. They were all smiles and even as I was picking up my order, the chef was real nice and polite. Actually quite surprised! The food was really good, we ordered through Uber eats, it was cold but that was Uber's fault not theirs. And even with cold food it was still delicious. Would've been 5 stars but the way they assembled the food for takeout was sloppy. I went to this burger joint when they first opened and I was disappointed with their customer service and overall experience. I decided, however, to give them another chance... After all, many businesses have their good and bad days and it can make one person ruin a customer's experience... But, I figured.... why not? Can this place redeem itself? 2 words... "THEY DID!" I got the double prime burger with all the basic toppings and the fried jalapenos... To go! The smell was incredible and I didn't even start the engine! Instead, I opened the bag, and the burger is wrapped perfectly in it's packaging to contain all ingredients and juices... I took a few bites of perfectly cooked burger, still smoking and smelling so darn good and the ingredients looking back at me... We ordered two regular Prime Fresh Burgers with the Yelp bonus of a free poutine upgrade. The facility looked brand new in the modern strip center on Rutherford Road in Vaughan, Ontario. Very clean with friendly staff to explain how their burgers were different than the competition. To our tastebuds, it was obvious that the ground beef had never been frozen which helped out with taste and juiciness. They do the smashburger thing, making for a flat and irregularly shaped puck. That's fine, but it makes it impossible to really get the medium or medium rare finish desired. Both were nothing if not well done. Decent burger, but well within the range of what is available from all middle rung burger joints. Onions and pickles are added for free, other toppings (mushrooms, peppers) cost extra. The poutine was also middle of the road. The cheese curds were cool and the chicken gravy just made everything soggy. Hard to get excited about that. Perhaps, I just don't understand the poutine concept. Lots of extra fat with less enjoyable soggy fries. Yeah. It's me. Truth in advertising. Enter: Fresh Burger. It's not "Gourmet Burger" "Fancy Burger" "Choose from 50 toppings burger"...you get the idea. It's really as simple as this: choose between a 4oz or 6oz burger - double patties if you want. Basic toppings and processed cheese are included and a few extra toppings such as bacon, jalapenos, real cheese for extra. The never-frozen patty is cooked to order, as are the fries. You can choose to upgrade your fries to poutine (free with Yelp check-in), and that's really it in terms of selection. Probably the smallest menu I've ever seen. Fairly similar to 5 Guys, but even fewer options BUT with better meat, bun and fries. Without a doubt, the meat is the star here. It's so juicy to the point that I would not recommend takeout since it literally drips down endlessly until you're finished. The flat top the meat is cooked on is clearly nice and hot since there's a good crisp on the outside, but the middle was about as light brown as I've seen from a chain. Those who don't like that will probably want to ask for more cooking time. 4.5 Star, and only a slight dock for the poutine just being okay. read more

Walked into this newly minted location, located across the street from Vaughan Mills, on the north side. This location was nestled in an unsuspecting strip mall next to a Coppa's supermarket and not easily seen from the road. Walked in, it was quiet (8:ish pm). I found it nicely laid out and very clean. We walked up to the counter to order and Zal behind the counter explained the menu and choices to us as if it was his first time doing this, his enthusiasm was infectious. I just wanted some fries maybe a poutine, but Zal's enthusiasm made me want to try more so we all ended up ordering burgers fries and poutine, hell, I was not in the mood for a burger remember. The food was cooked up in a jiffy, and first bites were amazing! I finally found a franchise that can cook up a...well....Fresh tasting Burger!! The fries where also very good and made from real potatoes. I later found out that Zal was co-owner and he informed me that the fries were made Belgium style (re-fried to ensure crispness) thus explaining why my poutine was soooo good and not soggy. I heard many good things about Fresh Burger from friends and have been meaning to visit the Richmond Hill location. I was excited to hear that they opened up a location in Vaughan. I visited this location on a Friday evening. It was not busy at all and the staff was just starting to clean up for the long weekend. Service was courteous and friendly. I ordered the double Fresh Burger with fries. With the Yelp check-in offer, I was able to upgrade to a poutine for free (usually $3.19). The burger was made to order. It was certainly fresh. The beef was very juicy and soft, but was solid enough that it didn't fall apart. The melted cheese added to an already flavorful and savory burger. The burger comes with a fresh slice of tomato and a fresh lettuce leaf. I wasn't a fan of poutine in the past, but the poutine at Fresh Burger was excellent. I chose a prime burger and the regular burger combo (6oz and 4oz respectively). Prices are comparable to Five Guys however the toppings cost 1.50 for any special items that Five Guys gives you free (on some). These guys make a good burger. Not as good as Holy Chuck or Burger's Priest, but those guys fall into what I call the $10-$15 burger tier. You can leave Fresh Burger paying under half of that, making it comparable to a premium McDonalds burger (ex: Mighty Angus), and Fresh Burger definitely wins that race. There are only a few base burger platforms that you can customize any way you want. Not that I think about it, this is close in many ways to Burger's Priest. I used Yelp to find a burger place close by with a good review. I would agree with the 4 stars review Fresh Burger currently had. Got myself the 6oz Prime burger with fries and a drink. Yes they have a wide selection of drinks to choose from. Wanted something different so tried the peach flavoured Lipton ice tea. It had a "candy" flavour to it, so next time will treat myself to one of the other fun drinks. I was disappointed with the selection of available toppings. I always look for something different to peak my interest, but unfortunately there was none, so stuck with the standards (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cheese). I was pleasantly surprised the cheese was a free option. Unknowingly they added their own homemade sauce to the burger. I would have preferred without so I believe they should asked their customers if it is alright to add their sauce. The burger itself was good. Nice crust on the outside but still juicy. The first few bites really got the juices flowing. The meat was nicely seasoned. Bun was a perfect size for the patty and fresh. Nice presentation. Fries were good. Hot and nicely seasoned too. Not overly cooked so they were not burnt crispy, which is the way I like it. I would definitely get this burger combo again, but will try the double 4oz patties next time (with no sauce) read more

We came here after spending some time shopping at Vaughan Mills. My husband was craving burgers so I pulled up the good ol' Yelp app to find something nearby. Found Fresh Burger to be right across the street so off we go! Based on reviews, we knew these were very simple burgers which is fine. What surprised me was the cost of toppings. Seeing that my husband eats with his eyes, he got bacon, cheddar cheese and caramelized onions which all cost $1 each (and the cheese was $1.50). The cheese included for free in the burger was processed cheese. Can we like.. get with the times and not use processed cheese? Anyway. We also ordered the Cali style fries, which weren't shown on the menu but shown on Yelp. Myyyy goodness, biggest regret ever. When the fries came they were DROWNING in their house sauce (and I'm not saying it in a good way), covered in process cheese and layered with caramelized onion. I was hoping it would've been similar to California's in-n-out animal style fries but these were def so gross. No wonder it's not on the menu. So don't ever do that! Best all around burger in Vaughan. It lives up to its name of being fresh (you can definitely tell) the bun is soft and nice, the produce is always fresh. The burger patty is crazy tasty and juicy, you can tell it's a no filler pure beef patty. I always get the 12 oz double prime burger that comes with tomato, lettuce, and I add onion and real cheddar.......I've never been disappointed. Great value, great taste. I love burgers plain and simple, I love good tasting well seasoned and well cooked meat on a bun. I am a simple fellow, but I expect real cheese, I expect real bacon, and I expect that the burger should be tasty and not only rely on the beef to be the flavour. I like the concept however the burger was very greasy, as they use the standard flat top to cook it, which means they really are not really all that different from a lot of the other places out there. And processed cheese that was the worst part of the whole burger, I mean it is basically cheeze-whiz and I can't stand the artificial flavour. If there poutine wasn't good I would have given it a two, just based on the lack of originality and lack of flavour, and the use of processed cheese. Ughhh I won't return. read more

I keep seeing pictures of the burgers on instagram so I decided to stop by. The place is small but there are a couple seats available. The staff were friendly. I ordered a hamburger combo that came with fries, and a can of soda. Everything is made to order so it's fresh and piping hot when the order is ready. I didn't check my order until I got home and I asked for pickles but they forgot it :( The burger itself tasted really good, lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crunchy and I really like their fries, they were crispy and there was a perfect amount of seasoning on them. Stopped in for a late 2pm lunch, restaurant was extremely clean and surprising empty, I guess I missed the lunch crowd. Ordered the prime burger which was recommended by the staff member waiting at the register. Combo comes with anything from the open refrigerator and a order of fries. Back ground music was clean and easy to hear, I hate listening to static. The burger had a little too much salt for me but it was still delicious and the jalapeño added just enough heat to satisfy my pallet. Fries were fresh and hot. Was not at all impressed. Just a regular fresh made burger. Not at all on par with competitors in driving distance. Seems more like a good value based value proposition than anything else. Had a cheeseburger and was thoroughly unimpressed enough that I won't be returning nor do I feel comfortable enough giving it a 3/5 stars. Plus, they have a HUGE pop selection with drinks you wouldn't normally find at a restaurant (like peach iced tea, cherry coke and diet root beer!)
