March 16, 2026 - I had this place recommended by a co worker so I decided to check it out. The interior was very old school 1950s dinner vibes with all the old school booths and old pictures on the wall. The food was also really good. I got the breakfast sandwich and it came with a side of home Fries and hollandaise sauce. The sandwich was huge and packed with eggs, peameal bacon and cheese. Topped with a creamy hollandaise sauce, it was a lovely mix of flavours that blended really well together. The home fries were grilled. They were a little soft and seasoned very well. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and would like to come back to try something else. read more

They have so many options for brunch and from what i've tried, it's all been yummy. I always have trouble deciding between savoury or sweet. Came to eat some breakfast with some friends! We ordered a variety of different dishes. The Benedict is very good just wish there was more sauce. The salad was OK did not have much or any dressing wasn't too sure. Omelette was good. No shells tasted fresh. Service was nice friendly. We had to ask a couple times to get our coffees and waters refilled while we were chatting. But other than that, it was great food came out fast. The restaurant is decorated very nicely with retro memorabilia. Music was played, but at a quiet volume we were able to talk without shouting over each other. Definitely one of my top favorite breakfast spots. read more

My favorite breakfast spot! It's nothing fancy, but the vibes are always great. The service is attentive and kind, and the food is consistently delicious. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, and my boyfriend had the Kotsy Benedict--we both loved our meals. We've been coming here for the past five years, and the food has always been consistently good. The coffee is also made just right every time. And the portion never changes. The interior is unique compared to other breakfast places--it has an old-fashioned diner feel but also somehow modern. Despite how busy it gets, the wait for food is never long, and the servers never forget about you! If you're looking for a great breakfast spot, this is the place! read more

Kotsy's is an unassuming place. The decor is supposed to look like a 1950s US diner and it does a decent job. The menu has something for everyone. Really, if you can't look at the menu and find something, then you're not in the right restaurant. The staff are friendly. You can customize your meal quite easily with adjustments to match your preference. The food is tasty and is served hot. They really know how to cook their eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc. The prices are fair given how much food at restaurants have gone up in the past few years. Also, I've ordered from Kotsy's through UberEats and it's as good as being in the restaurant. read more

Long weekend means no specials, might as well go to where we normally don't go, if we're paying full price anyway! Warm service and very reasonable prices. I really enjoyed my western omelette, hubby was soso on his club house sandwich. He says it was too salty and the processed cheese was not a good ingredient. Cute, old school seating and atmosphere. Washrooms could use a reno/glow-up. Parking is plentiful! read more

1. Food was great! Menu is extensive. All types of breakfast options but also wraps, salads, burgers, sandwiches. We all got breakfast dishes: Western omelette, waffles, pancakes, Big Breakfast. Food was reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. Very good selection of shakes and smoothies. 2. Service - very good. Coffee kept flowing and server came back many times to check up on us. 3. Ambiance - retro 50s decor. Busy time on Sunday at around lunch but that made the ambiance better. We made reservations because there were 6 of us and the person who answered the phone was very nice about it. This is my new go to breakfast place in the Vaughan area. I highly recommend! read more

My husband and I had breakfast here for the first time ever and we loved it. Both our breakfasts were served exactly as we ordered them. We loved the retro decor, retro music in the background and the whole ambiance of this little treasure! The diamond, though, was our server Jessica Lavoie. She welcomed us with open arms. She chatted with us as if we were family. She made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Based on her excellent people skills, we will be back next time we are in the area. We highly recommend this very quaint restaurant for the aforementioned qualities. Hopefully, when you visit, you will meet the gem of this restaurant: Jessica Lavoie. At the very least, you will have a wonderful meal at a very low price! Enjoy! read more

Holy Cow, this place is great. If you're new here, you likely aren't familiar with my obsession with breakfast foods. In my view there's nothing better than a huge mug of fresh hot coffee, a plate of over-easy eggs and half a pig in various forms-crisp-skinned sausages, griddled ham, mahogany bacon and the like. Breakfast is also the only meal where I truly enjoy potatoes; preferably in shredded hash brown form, but I'll accept the cubed version too, as long as they're crispy outside and light on the inside-an excellent vehicle for whatever hot sauce you've got. I'll wax eloquent on the benefits of restaurant toasters, which achieve similar crisp exteriors and soft interiors on any kind of bread, but especially fresh rye, which can then be slathered with the semi-real butter that comes in little packets, or some kind of edible oil. Others can argue about pancakes vs. waffles. I'm generally a waffle guy, since I don't have a waffle iron at home and have no interest in separating enough eggs to make a fluffy batter early in the morning. But the pancakes here are huge and rival what I can and do make from scratch. All of this, Kotsy does to excellent effect; bonus when they all arrive as part of the same order-a platter that likely ways more than my children did at birth (and probably tastes at least as good). Service is what it is. As long as the food arrives hot and the coffee keeps coming, I have nothing to complain about. Prices are more than fair, and the decor-wild enough to raise eyebrows before my first cup-is fun. The only drawback is the drive; I used to live much closer. Open a spot in midtown Toronto (and somehow figure out how to preserve pricing given the vampiric rents that get charged here) and I'm a regular. read more

Kotsy's is a neat diner with a lot of car art works on the walls and interesting signs. I ordered the smoked salmon egg Benny. Good hollandaise sauce and they will ask you how you would like it done. The home fries were good, it's nice and flavourful. You don't even really need ketchup. I will come back again for the egg Benny! This restaurant is nice and simple and does the job for a weekend brunch! read more

A bot bad place, first time here but apparently been open for years. The place was extremely busy which was shocking, but good for them, seems like they have a lot of regulars. Their portions are big, but the taste isn't what you're used to...it tasted like everything is fried with pure lard not your typical frying oil, which is not that good, adds that flavour but too heavy for a morning breakfast/brunch. Service is very bad, older ladies trying to serve a full house while keeping sane, doesn't work out too well! I don't think i'll come back, but the place was ok to try once.. I'll stick to my better local options read more

Service was extremely quick on a Sunday around noon, even though the place was pretty much packed. Prices are reasonable, ordered a standard breakfast with 3 eggs, 4 strips of bacon, home fries and toast for 9.99. (6.99 if you arrive before 11am). Our server was always around to pour refills for coffee. Noticed only 1 working TV out of the 3 in the restaurant. The other 2 were frozen on the screen. Great price, great breakfast If you're looking for an old school, 50s style diner this is the place. You get a good breakfast at a reasonable price surrounded by memorabilia! We sat at Goofy's Garage booth, but could've been the Blvd of Dreams or RocknRoll Ave right next to us! At 2 on a Wed it was quite empty, and service was pretty good considering it seemed one lady attended all the tables. I just got a milkshake (strawberry) which was REALLY sweet, but the bf is a child so he loved it. He got the big breakfast (photos attached) and it's a great size for $13 only complaint was the delicious pancakes were undercooked-eeek. But otherwise an awesome time! I highly recommend as good value for money! read more

This place is oddly deceiving and doesn't look like much on the outside. But once you get past their doors - it is a surprisingly retro 50s vibe with a black and white chequered Lino floor with cozy booths. The interior is darker than expected but overall the dark interior isn't really anything to hold against them. The service is friendly, efficient and polite; overall I was left with a pretty good impression. The pricing is good, not too expensive - but not the cheapest. They apparently specialize in Eggs Benedict; of which they offer several different types - but what I like about theirs is that they actually ask you how you want your eggs poached - which I never get asked elsewhere. The food is actually pretty good, not OMGEE, but it is good. Overall: worth a visit if you are craving greasy spoon diner and you are in the Keele and Highway 7 area read more

For those wishing to take a trip back in time and revisit the retro diner era, Kotsy's is the place to go. The interior, featuring a checkered floor decor, classic booths and rustic menu design really captures the essence of a breakfast diner. The staff are super friendly and check in on you frequently to make sure your visit is comfortable and satisfactory. While the food is your usual breakfast fare, there are a few interesting items such as the Breakfast Poutine. Definitely worth the visit if you want a break from your usual breakfast chains in the GTA area. read more

I'm a bit torn deciding whether to write this review in the first place, but it's only based on a few minutes of customer service. I was in the area and found this place on the Yelp search for brunch, and it came up with a high aggregate rating. I called ahead to see if they had TV's as I was hoping to catch a live game, and they said they did and would put it on for me. My wife and I arrived and it has a very colourful 50's feel, albeit a bit kitschy and anachronistic. Immediately I saw that there were just 3 smaller TV's mounted to the ceiling each playing CP24, which for their size is all that they're probably good for. The host looked thrown off that I was looking to find the best place to watch the game (even though I mentioned it again when I arrived). Our server arrived very quickly and already asked if we were ready to order - which we weren't apart from drinks. I mentioned if they could change the channel for my game and she said she'd go ask. My coffee arrived very quickly, and it met the weak and bland variety you fear for when going to a greasy spoon. The server asked if we were ready, but we still needed another minute. The breakfast menu is pretty straightforward with: pancakes, waffles, french toast, and omelettes being the main options, along with the regular sides. It's pretty straightforward, and 'no substitutions' is repeated a few times on the menu. Don't go expecting benny's, hash dishes, skillets, etc... It was funny that the table had one of those triangular adds made by egg lobby saying to try the corn beef hash, but this place didn't offer it. I guess the 'no substitutions' is a general theme of this place, considering how thrown off they seemed to be by my request to sit somewhere else, and not being ready to order within two minutes. The next time we saw our waitress was about 10 minutes later and having to ask for her. She told us it would still be a few minutes to be able to change the game as 'she' (the manager presumably) was busy. I suppose they don't trust just anyone with the remote control. I really wanted to watch my game, and since I asked in advance, I didn't feel rude to simply cut my losses and just leave. It was also a bit of a relief, since I wanted a bit more than greasy spoon. To balance out the review a little, the prices did seem very cheap, and judging by the popularity, I'm guessing it's good for what you pay for. Just be aware that this is a greasy spoon with a fairly basic menu, and is also not the place to offer much personalized service. read more

After driving past this place thousands of times, I finally came by to try it out as I wanted to have a quick breakfast before school. Conveniently right at Highway 7 and Keele, this truck stop diner offers breakfast, sandwiches, burgers and other typical diner items. They also feature specials everyday such as omelette Mondays and club wrap Tuesdays. I ordered the early bird special for $4.99 which included three eggs, 4 bacon strips or ham or sausages with homefries and toast before 11am. Boy was that filling! Seems like there are a lot of regulars and students that stop by for a bite. Customers are greeted by first names and vice versa which makes it a very friendly and hospitable environment. It's good food for the value. read more

Kotsy's Restaurant - Breakfast specials 4.99 - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Vaughan, Ontario

I have been in my fair share of breakfast restaurants that try to tell me they are serving me a "big breakfast" only to come up short when the plates hit the table. Kotsy's - however - has a big breakfast that should scare you a little bit. In fact, I thought I was misreading the menu when I first ordered and ended up being shocked by everything I got for only $9.99. Kotsy's is located in a tired strip center right on Highway 7 near the train yard in Concord. We walked in and were told we could sit anywhere in the brightly colored rock and roll themed left side of the table. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. We ordered the big breakfast and started off with three - cause two just ain't enough - eggs cooked to order. The dinner plate is then finished off with a half plate of breakfast potatoes that were wonderfully crispy. I usually prefer hash browns, but was satisfied with the breakfast potatoes. Stacked on top of the potatoes are 2 pieces of bacon, two pieces of ham, and two pieces of sausage (peameal can be subbed for a dollar). Yes - that's right - you get SIX pieces of assorted pig delicacies included in your breakfast - that's a lot of swine. Oh .... but you're not done yet because on the second tray the server brought two fluffy hotcakes that were bigger than the plate they were served on and two slices of white, wheat, or rye toast. Plenty of butter, jelly, and syrup on the side to make everything taste just right. Kotsy's takes the usual cards and is only open for breakfast and lunch. Stop by for breakfast if you dare (and are able to relax in a food coma for the rest of the day). read more

Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 (One visit was better than the other) Decor: 5/5 (The 50s diner feel is right on) Location: 2/5 (Not easy locate and turn into, especially with the current construction on Hwy 7) Price: averaging $5-$12 (depending on dish and add ons/substitutions) Kotsy's is not your typical breakfast restaurant. We're talking a place with a warm, kitschy, 50s diner feel and food that's pretty tasty as well. If you eat here, take some time to check out the awesome retro posters and wall decor too! I've been here twice and the food has been relatively the same in terms of quantity, quality, and taste. The service is not as constant as the food, so don't expect constant undivided attention from your servers. First visit, I got a "Big Breakfast" (I think that's what it's called??) and it's priced at a reasonable $9.99. Comes standard with 3 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, sausage, and ham (each!!) as well as Texas toast, homefries, and buttermilk pancakes! Definitely holds true to its name in that it is HUGE, like I would only order this if you're craving a ton of food. In terms of the taste, everything's really nice and just what you would expect: salty and smokey meats, crispy and seasoned potatoes, and big fluffy pancakes. PS: You can get jam and butter with your toast as well! Second visit, I got an Egg's Benny with smoked salmon and I added on spinach with the server's suggestion. This dish comes with 3 poached eggs, an english muffin sliced in two, 2 slices of smoked salmon (salmon's just ok, could be more smokey), a hefty amount of home fries, and a small amount of fruit. I would recommend getting this when you want something decadent and rich which is exactly what the hollandaise sauce in this dish is. If i could I would rave about the sauce throughout this entire review I definitely would. Don't get me wrong though, this dish is not overwhelming like the Big Breakfast can be, so don't be afraid of getting it! Also the home fries are so crispy and bite size, it's a perfect companion for the eggs. Last note: I get my eggs "medium" so the yoke is still gooey enough to coat your salmon/bacon/ham/spinach. So to conclude, this place is a great choice for catch-up brunches with friends, a hangover remedy, or even just a standard breakfast place. Heads up: This review only covers the breakfast dishes of their menu (and it seems to be the main fare here), but I'd be interested in trying out one of their non-breakfast items (i.e. burgers, etc.) soon. read more

Good foods, good prices but meh service. We came on a Sunday morning. Couldn't tell the crowdedness and busy-ness from outside but once we entered we saw a busy full 50s vintage restaurant. I had the salmon egg Benedict. Tasted good, will come back for that. My friend ordered French toast, it's just four slides of toast dipped in egg and fried, I can make that at home. Not recommended. The service was not amazing... We had to ask twice for toast syrup and we didn't get our hot chocolate until we were half done. Even when we asked for the bill, it took really a while to come to us. When we asked for the machine, guess what another wait.. Overall, it was a good experience except the loudyness and slow service. Will come back in weekdays to check it out. read more

Got sent home from work early one day, which would have been great, except that the traffic along the strip of Hwy. 7 where the restaurant is located was an usually bad f*disaster, even worse than usual. I didn't feel like waiting till I got home so I decided to shoot in here now. It wasn't particularly busy, I guess since it was early afternoon and a weekday, so the one wait staff was taking care of the customers who were in at the moment on her own. I asked to be seated up near the window so maybe that partially accounted for the slower service, but she was attentive enough and happy to accommodate my out-of-the-way location while she covered the entire floor. I definitely had to order the big breakfast, and you do get a lot for the $10. The eggs were a bit cold and dry by the time the plate reached me, but let's face it, no one really cares about the eggs yet when there's all that pork (2 pieces each of peameal, sausages, rashers) hogging all the attention. When I did get to those 3 eggs, the yolks were a good consistency, so that somewhat outweighed the lacklustre whites and temperature. I was happy to eat the few pieces of fruit (small slice of cantaloupe, small but edible slice of orange) that accompanies the meal, thereby giving a customer the satisfaction of having the illusion that it's not so bad eating all that animal product if you have your healthy food included in the same meal. The toast comes on a separate plate which I find nice. And don't forget the pancakes on yet another plate, kept warm, covered and waiting under the sheet (top plate) for you. Not that I could finish them, but I had to sample the goods and they were satisfactory. To add the coffee and a healthy tip, you'll still spend about $18, but it's a very fair price to pay for all the the food plus wait service and I'd come again another day. Some items I would add to my wish-list to make it 5 stars: Wi-Fi would be nice, and a couple of slices of tomato would really go a long way toward making it a fully fleshed-out feast. read more
