Best schnitzel and best value I've had in a long time! The place is definitely a hidden gem with it…read morebeing at the bottom of a commercial building, but I would come back again in a heartbeat. The owner is also very nice and genuinely cares about customers.

My family has been coming to Toma's for nearly 2 decades (when they were in a different location)…read more This place never disappoints, the food is always amazing and the owners are accommodating. If you like middle eastern food you must try the food here. With Arabic food, sharing is the way to go. We ordered a few appetizers; hummus, fattoush, Greek salad, baba ghanoush (not pictured), tabouleh (not pictured). The reason I love going here is because of the appetizers, they remind me of how my mom and aunts make appetizers; in the traditional Iraqi way. The salads are zesty and sour, which is very typical of Iraqi cuisine but it's so delicious. The ingredients are all very fresh. I highly recommend trying the hummus and tabouleh, they're addictive. For our main meal we ordered a giant mixed platter with a bit of every meat (lamb chops, chicken souvlaki, beef schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, beef kebab tenderloin, Iraqi beef kebab). This was so delicious, everything was cooked perfectly. If you only want to try one meat I would highly recommend trying the lamb chops, I could easily eat 20 of those. The schnitzels are quite popular amongst kids, I remember ordering those all the time and they still taste as good as I remember them. And of course all the sides are amazing (especially the fries). For dessert we had tea and creme caramel, a great way to end the night. This place is awesome, we'll continue to go here especially for events (they sometimes bring DJs). The place is very clean as well (bathrooms are spotless).

Fantastic Lebanese fusion style food…read more Every dish was fantastic with many mixes of items. Even the vegetarian items were extremely flavorful. Loved the chicken and the beef kabobs Nice weather? Sit outside Extremely nice staff..... owner let me swear in Lebanese and the staff lost it Would definitely come back Highly recommended

Have been coming to Maro's for a year now. My first experience was AMAZING, with owner Maro's…read morehimself at the door ushering guests in and directing the traffic flow. Recent visits, I have found they refurnished the space -- it's now much darker, and several smaller tables fill the space now, whereas before, it was filled with long tables and you would be seated beside strangers for your meal. It had a different, lighter and more communal vibe before. Also on recent visits, the staff server are a lot younger -- still warm and welcoming, but with less urgency. So getting assistance takes longer. Although this makes for a nice slow meal, if that's what you're looking for! The food however, is still A+! It's the reason I keep coming back again and again. And why when friends come to visit, Maro's is always in the Top 3 places to try in Halton. They consistently serve up fantastic Lebanese food. If you're dining with a vegetarian -- they will be THRILLED with the options here! I daresay they lead with vegetables here. No one will be disappointed with vegetarian option here -- even the meat eaters. Be sure to check out their drink menu as well. Their cocktails -- and mocktails -- are great. Parking outside is all paid parallel street parking, since it's downtown Oakville. But if you visit on Sundays -- parking is free!

May 2/21: New place in Brampton. Obviously a Mediterranean restaurant. It's a build your own type…read moreof restaurant. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma (tomato, onion, tabouli, hummus, feta). It was good but kinda dry & lacking much flavour. Other diner had the Keto Salad bowl. They said it was good. Also had garlicky potatoes & 6-piece falafel. Falafels we're very dry. The garlicky potato's we're the highlight of the meal. Very tasty. Total meal was $45.00 all in. I had a brief convo with the owner Eman. Very nice fella & clearly devoted business owner. I wish him success.

This review is for the Eglinton location. What a joke. I…read moreasked if the falafel was cooked fresh to order, she lied and said yes. Then opened the warming tray to take the falafel out. I said that's not fresh. She said it was just fried 2 minutes ago... she lied again. First off, who the hell limits the topings? Never have I seen someone SO stingy with a falafel. Topings themselves were okay. Nothing great, but not horrible... except the falafel itself. Stale, very little flavor. Good hummus though. The pita was flattened, the falafel crushed so she could stuff it in, even though there was plenty of room given how stingy the topings were. The pita was also stale and they stuffed more pita INSIDE THE PITA POCKET... WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK!? So not only stingy with less than 15 cents of tomatoes, cucumber and onions, but had to stuff the pocket with more pita? This is pure mental deficiency. She also put sauce on top while asking if I wanted sauce, I said no... but at this point i just wanted to fucking leave. So I said "whatever, its fine". NEVER EVER going to go back to this location. AVOID AT ALL COST. How someone can fuck up something as simple as a falafel in a pita at a mediterranean eatery is beyond me. If you cant put out a good falafel, you shouldnt open a restaurant.
