However my updates specifically are focused on gel nails and nail art along with their policy and service. I got my mani with nail art on Dec. 20th. Just a few days after, my finger nail chipped horizontally. Two days later it broke off taking most of the nail and art with it. A few days after that, so around only 10 days after getting them, my middle finger paint and nail art lifted from the front, chipping off. On the same left hand. Two nails next to each other could be coincidence but to me indicates something wasn't properly applied. I called today (2 weeks after getting them done) and they said within a week they will fix for free and anything after that is on me. With the holidays I will agree ideally I would have called sooner but I was out of town so no way they could have fixed the two nails anyway. The front desk girl didn't seem to care much about thinking through the actual situation instead of just repeating someone told her while I was on hold. Bummer. In all my years of getting nails done I haven't had issues so quickly after a service and especially with any nail art up charges. But more importantly the way they responded to my call today confirms I will take my business and tons of my friends that I bring with me, elsewhere.

After having been spoiled by stylists from La Jolla, to Manhattan Beach to Pasadena, CA, after relocating to the PNW, I started my search in Portland. After a few failed attempts in coordinating appointments at top salons in Portland (they rescheduled and then I had to reschedule, then they rescheduled), I asked a colleague where she had just gone (her coloring looked fantastic). She referred me to Nico Bella. I called and immediately got an appointment with Wendee. Located in downtown Camas, I have always been able to find a parking spot within a block. Its a cute little shop that offers other treatments (I have used the manicurist, too). Once having my hair done by Wendee, I have never wandered. It's refreshing to have a stylist give you an honest opinion when experimenting with a new hairdo or look. Plus, I look forward to escaping the hectic work day to her quiet salon and leaving revitalized. As if that wasn't enough, during Covid, she has developed the best salon safety protocols hands down.
