I requested a consult for my damaged hair. Tamie took a look at my hair indoors and outdoors and asked what I wanted the result to be. I showed her a photo and she agreed to help. A few days later I went in for a color change. I was so impressed with the attention paid to the color I wanted, the condition of my processed hair and exactly what I could expect after the service. I don't know about the hair people, but don't get your nails done here. The nail person, Kathy, uses a Dremel tool to do your cuticles. She reassured me it was gentle, but everything I have read, and every professional I have asked said this is not a safe practice. After a year of having my nails done by her, my nails are now growing out deformed due to damage to the nail bed. They are permanently damaged. read more

The photos speak for themselves. I thought that if I brought photos of myself that it would make the haircut easier for the stylist. She spent an hour and half on my hair. She was very detailed but I got the impression she didn't know how to cut short hair. The haircut I received didn't include bangs or texture. I'm so disappointed that I paid $$ for this haircut. I wasn't shown the back of my hair with a mirror at the end. I had to see the straight cut in the back when I got home. I got my hair fixed up at another studio down the street. They helped me out a lot. She added texture and bangs and it looks closer to the photos I brought it. I got a follow-up call from the Manager Amy. She wanted to fix the situation but I had already gone somewhere else. She tried to make me feel guilty, saying that I should have called the studio to resolve the issue. I tried to call the studio for an hour when I got home but nobody answered. She said their receptionist was out and that I didn't answer my phone when the stylist tried calling. She was trying to blame me for not coming back to the studio. I was too busy with my baby and crying to answer the phone. I'm a new mom suffering with postpartum depression and my spouse didn't want to see me cry anymore and he took me to another studio immediately. Amy tried asking me what I needed to help resolve the issue. She didn't offer anything. I want the stylist to learn from the incident. The haircut looked nothing like my photos. Beautiful salon, with relaxing colors and textures and a lovely fireplace. By far the best stylists I've been to in this area. Jess and Gina are both fantastic with cut and color. But I don't think you could go wrong with anyone here - they are the best of the best. As someone with immune-compromised family members, I appreciate how extra careful the salon has been with Covid precautions. And they do so consistently but with kindness. Ok one more time for this cute little salon. I've now continuously had Melissa do my hair and I absolutely adore her. She is just so sweet and nice and gentle. Very peaceful to be around while you gotta sit there for hours at a time. She really hears you too! Which is refreshing! ( And I mean she gets what your sayin.) But also, if you don't wanna talk much, she's not awkward about it! It's like she just gets it! She has done my hair twice so far and I now do not want to see anyone else ever again! Lol. Short hair can be so much more difficult than long so I was nervous going to a new stylist for a totally transformational cut but she was willing to listen and take feedback to get my hair right how I wanted it to be which is definitely not always the case. I love that my hairstylist Jaimee is here, she is the only one that I see and I have moved everywhere she was. I think the studio is nice, the owner is ok.... Kind of brushed off my kid one time in the past for not wearing the mask or not wearing it properly.... Jamiee is a top notch professional. She has been cutting my hair for seven years. Okay, styling my hair. I have straight hair with several cowlicks. Perhaps this is due to genetics or that I grew up around cattle. The result of having cowlicks is my hair looks terrible if an amateur is involved and before found Jaimee I had rocked my share of Edward Scissorhands results. My wife now thinks I look like George Clooney. My hair, anyway. Hey, even Jaimee can't resolve all my challenges. Do yourself a favor the next time you look in the mirror and your hair is a mess, call Jaimee. If your husband does not look like George Clooney then set up an appointment for him as well. Melissa Treasure has been cutting my hair for 7 years. I love the way she cuts my hair. It lays nicely and makes for easy styling. I also notice that the cut lasts longer because of her expertise. Melissa is up to date with the latest trends and will give you ideas for styles that will flatter and work with your hair type. I've been getting my hair done at Studio 192 for 5 years. I've had two amazing stylist that I have trusted 100%. Recently Shannon has been doing my color and bangs, of which I can be a tad bit OCD about, and she has worked so hard to create the perfect color for me. I'm always impressed with the receptionist who greets everyone, the rest of the staff is also friendly and pricing is fair especially for the quality of service. I drive 35 min to get here, and it is worth it. I also buy all of my Bumble & bumble products from this salon and am grateful I can combine the two! read more

My review is not just for the services you can receive at the Studio, but for prospective Stylists, too! I happened upon the salon after moving to WA from CA. One thing that drew me to the salon was the passion and emphasis placed on continuing education. As a stylist, you NEED to be learning new techniques and style trends in order to keep it fresh. Amy, the owner, is a really amazing, fair boss (which isn't easy to come by in the salon industry). If you're a stylist that wants to work hard and keep learning, check this place out. After two years of being on the team, I moved out of state but I still consider this place a gem! As for stylists and services, I highly recommend Vanessa for your cut and color needs (booked up way in advance), Amber for brow waxes (she is a fab stylist, too), Anne for that flawless bob, Erin for your blonde highlights, Gabrielle for your perms (if you're getting real crazy!) & Kathy for your mani-pedi. You pay for 2 hours of quality time and get an hour if you're lucky. Our last visit was a half hour late with 40 minutes of attention. I absolutely LOVE Studio 162 and the hairstylists working there. Everyone is very kind and helpful and I feel very comfortable in the environment they have created. I get my hair done by Nicole and she is fabulous. She has great ideas in regards to styling, cutting and coloring my hair, and she is so fun to talk to. I'm glad I found Nicole because she has become a good friend as well as an awesome hair stylist! I get many compliments on my hair frequently and everyone asks me where I get my hair done. It was Nicole's idea to do my hair A-line and after I got it that style, I have not changed it in over a year and half because I love it so much and get so many compliments on it. I went to them after reading great reviews and was not impressed. Mary, who performed my services left the dye on my face the whole time and now I have black peach fuzz. I was also washing dye out of my hair for 3 days. Not the kind of experience you look for when spending $150 for a cut and color. When I called the salon to ask how to fix my problem they seemed clueless and only offered to wax my face to remove the dyed hair. This was not an option since I am not ready to wax my face for the next 30+years. I sincerely do not recommend this salon. read more

I moved here almost two years ago and have not found a stylist that I truly liked. I decided to give Studio 192 a try and received a hair consultation from Shannon. I had long brassy, blonde/caramel highlights and wanted to go plum/burgundy for the Fall. She was attentive and professional. Luckily, she had a cancellation a couple of days later so I was able to grab that spot. I was impressed that she texted me the night before and asked me for some photo's of what I wanted. It was very thoughtful of her to plan ahead. I also appreciated that she gave me my privacy. When I get my haircut/colored, I know I'll be in the seat for a very long time so I like to catch up on my nonsense magazines, close my eyes and get a way from the daily chaos of work and an outgoing toddler so I appreciated the "me" time she let me have. I'll be honest, I was completely skeptical as I've been so disappointed so many times. Shannon made my hair look super healthy and my husband was very pleased with the end result! Took my mom here for cut and color. She has short hair, they did a simple cut and root touch up. She was charged $90 for root touch up!?! and $45 for a cut!! Overpriced and service she recieved was not professional. Her original stylist passed her on to someone else as she was busy! I started going to Studio 162 last year. I had experienced a tragic event in my life and for some reason I thought cutting my hair off would help. Anyway, I cut my waist length hair to my ears! I met a lady at my son's school who referred Ann to me. I didnt know where to start but Ann listened to me and started off by giving me a nice cut and a few highlights. It is a year later, Ann has my hair in shape, wonderful chunks of highlights and chestnut brown in a beautiful mix that makes me feel awesome. She takes the time to listen and to care about what you want. She then recaps what you asked for to make sure she heard you correctly. She always makes me coffee, gives me some magazines and makes sure I am comfortable. She knows that I have had a rough year and patiently listens to me rant, laugh, or cry depending upon my mood. She is highly talented, professional, kind and compassionate. She does a perfect job EVERYTIME! I have been coloring my hair for 30 years and have never found anyone like her. It is hard to find someone that can do color well. She does color and cuts well! Somehow this glorious woman had made my hair look glamorous. I never thought it could be done. She has a gift and I am glad that I can be a part of it. She has helped me feel like a woman again. I just cant say enough about her.
