I love this salon so much and Allie is the best. She always listens and does exactly what I want. I actually just trust her to do what she does best. That's hair She does my hair and my husband's. We love her and she always does the best job. Thank you for not only cutting my hair but being a friend to talk too. I found you first and I tell my hubby that all the time. Thank you Allie

The haircut I received

The photos speak for themselves. I thought that if I brought photos of myself that it would make the haircut easier for the stylist. She spent an hour and half on my hair. She was very detailed but I got the impression she didn't know how to cut short hair. The haircut I received didn't include bangs or texture. I'm so disappointed that I paid $$ for this haircut. I wasn't shown the back of my hair with a mirror at the end. I had to see the straight cut in the back when I got home. I got my hair fixed up at another studio down the street. They helped me out a lot. She added texture and bangs and it looks closer to the photos I brought it. I got a follow-up call from the Manager Amy. She wanted to fix the situation but I had already gone somewhere else. She tried to make me feel guilty, saying that I should have called the studio to resolve the issue. I tried to call the studio for an hour when I got home but nobody answered. She said their receptionist was out and that I didn't answer my phone when the stylist tried calling. She was trying to blame me for not coming back to the studio. I was too busy with my baby and crying to answer the phone. I'm a new mom suffering with postpartum depression and my spouse didn't want to see me cry anymore and he took me to another studio immediately. Amy tried asking me what I needed to help resolve the issue. She didn't offer anything. I want the stylist to learn from the incident. The haircut looked nothing like my photos. The photos speak for themselves.

I am used to my appointments being 15-20 minutes long because they pride themselves on quick service. My boyfriend and I share a car and we had to go pick up his kids from school before my appointment and then I told them to just wait in the car because my appointment would only be 15 minutes. Easy peasy. Kids wouldn't get antsy or fight and we'd be home by 4:30 (my appointment was at 4). The morning of my appointment I got a call that my waxer was out for the day so I would be with someone else. Which is totally fine with me! Until it wasn't. I got to my appointment right on time, then was told I had to wait a few minutes. Which is fine because I usually have to wait about 3-5 minutes. 10 minutes goes by and my waxer finally came out to take me to the back. I've never seen her before at this location so I assumed she was newer, but I know they train well so I wasn't worried. Finally she starts my wax and it's all going well and she's chatting with me and making me feel comfortable, she is pulling my skin taught so it doesn't hurt and it's going really well! Then she kept going over the same spot, over and over again. Which I know is because she wanted to get all the hairs out, but I felt it getting later and later and I knew my boyfriend and his kids were waiting in the car and I just knew that they were getting antsy. Anyways, she did a great job, but I checked my phone at the end and it was 4:50!!! 4:50?! 40 minutes to do a Brazilian. I'm fine with having a new person, but I would've love to know she was going to take that long for my appointment! That was ridiculous!! And no one even seemed to apologize about it. When I finally was at checkout, I didn't even want to schedule again because 1. I didn't know if I'd want to come back to this location, even though it's the closest to my house and 2. I was now in a rush because my appointment was 35 minutes over what I thought it would be. We had someplace to be and now we were really late for it. I'm really disappointed in my service this past experience. Warn your customers if it's a newer waxer and if they take longer so they can plan better. You are in customer service after all! I won't be back at this location. Be better Mill Plain EWC.

This is updated review as I originally had a bad experience with the staff "response" to me and the…read moresubscription plan, I had signed up for back in May of 2025. I sincerely did not fully understanding the contract I signed up for. I took a nonchalant approach to the subscription plan and had prepaid for "4" services at $89.95 (monthly) without ever using them so when I came to collect, they were so focused on my payment not going through (I changed my debit card for fraud reasons) that it seemed as though they did not desire to help me. Note, had they treated me differently, I may have provided my updated debit card for future subscription. When I requested to make the four appointments that I had already paid for, I was told they were booked out for over a month and at that point, I could see the staff member did not desire to help me and so in frustration, I walked out. After this unpleasant encounter I was send the contract to "officially" cancel the subscription and told I had 60 days to use those four prepaid services. I would like to point out when I signed up, I was told...."You can cancel the subscription plan at any time." It was not as though I purchased something and then defaulted, I prepaid for services not yet rendered. I called in a few weeks later and was able to book those four appointments and come to find out they were not booked out for over a month but had same day appointments available. The actual facials were great and those I can highly recommend, very enjoyable and my skin looked amazing however, I cannot recommend the subscription plan which should be on a 30 day billing cycle and if a payment doesn't go through and you received the reason from the bank as fraud then auto cancel the subscription, it is that simple!
