Mistakes happen, but this one was not dealt with professionally. I will not use this salon again nor will I recommend it. I was originally happy with this salon and my original stylist. I had to use a different stylist during the busy holiday season, 2025. The cut in the back was terrible. It was uneven at the neck with a large gap in the center. The salon would not refund me my money or credit me for the cut. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner never spoke to me on the phone. I was very excited to try this place out, because I just moved here, and I'm addicted to Aveda products. I was super disappointed though. Walking in, not a soul greeted me. I sat awkwardly until finally someone asked me how they could help me. One of the stylists had an awful RBF. The whole experience was just a let down. I've been getting my hair done by Sara for about 9 years now and she has always done an amazing job. Update: Sara is still absolutely amazing but our schedules don't align as much as they used to (or maybe I'm just bad at planning). I've been able to call and make appointments with any hairdresser and I've always been so pleased with the results. I've never walked out of the salon unhappy or wishing for something more. My husband and I have been clients of Sara Biaggi for over 10 years. I have sent numerous friends to her, and we have always been happy with her work. She is thoughtful, professional, and skilled, a real delight to work with. I can't recommend her highly enough. The salon itself is lovely, located in sweet downtown Camas. It's bright, airy and smells divine. The hostess (frequently the salon owner) greets you and offers you tea (take the tea; it's yummy) or water when you arrive. Terrible!! I went in on Saturday morning 4/1/17 they changed ownership, receptionist and got new stylists. I thought I'd still give it a try because I'm sure the stylist has to have experience. I got a hair cut. My hair is thick and wavy. The gal (I won't say her name) did a terrible job! She cut my hair like she was mowing the lawn. Very blunt layers and I asked her to trim more and more and it just kept looking worse. I asked to have my hair blowed dried straight. When she finished I could've believe she wash finished!! My hair looked worse than it did when I can't in. I even said "your finished?" I honestly didn't think it was done and I was shocked that she could let a client walk out of the salon looking so undone! To top it off after I said "it still looks really frizzy" she said "I think it's the way I blow dried it" I can try flat ironing it too" this was after she put oil in my hair and we both talked about how that will burn hair. (Oil then flat iron) my hair is so dry and damaged I didn't want this extra heat added. I also only get my hair blow dried when I get it cut so I look forward to this but this turn out so bad! Before this I talked my husband into trying this salon too, he normally goes to the Barbers. He agreed. She butchered his hair! He asked her 3 times to fade it more and she just seemed like she couldn't do it. He paid $25 then went straight to the Barbers to get it fixed. I called to speak with the owner about this and she told me "saw your husbands hair, and I didn't think it looked bad" wow!!!! That shows me her lack of experience herself. I will try to warn people as much as I can about this place. And I hope they can also train their receptionist to stop acting like she works in a DMV and actually be nice to clients. read more

Dissapointed. First of all, the girls who work there are super sweet and wonderful. But it's the owner or manager or whoever is in charge of the place is horrible (super wonderful girls are too polite to tell me more). I did a pedicure there - chair is very uncomfortable, nail polish is obviously super cheap, and everything just screams that's it's a cheap place pretending to be a high quality but the quality is not there. Then, they started to charge 50% deposit prior the visit in case if a customer doesn't show up. In the covid 19 outbreak, this is unacceptable. So people won't won't to loose their money, so they will show up even if they are in close contact with covid 19. Majority of the people asymptomatic. I am also filing an official complaint to CDC and Aveda corporate. This place is set up to spread covid infection in our community... read more

Only a one star because I had to put a star. I came here with blonde hair wanting chocolate brown roots and a thick weave throughout. First of all, the girl doing my hair (Hannah) kept asking me what color swatch to use. Okay that's your job. You went to hair school didn't you? Second, that made me very nervous so I told her to go get another girl to see how she should do it since I brought in a picture of exactly what I wanted. She told her how and we went on with it. After 3 hours she comments while rinsing my hair out that it didn't turn out how it was supposed to. I said what do you mean and she said maybe it'll look better dry... we go to do it and I'm almost in tears... instead of brown she did a light blonde bump throughout my hair and now it looks stringy and in a week from now you'll never know that I even had my hair done. Being 39 weeks pregnant and upset I ask her to get the manager. She gets the manager who says well it must have been a miscommunication. How is it a miscommunication when I brought in a picture of exactly how I wanted my hair AND had her go ask another cosmetologist how to achieve that look. Hey said they'd fix it for MORE money. I said forget it and I left crying. They still charged me for the mistake they made they made. My hair looked better Before coming in. I spent all afternoon in tears and what is the worst part of it all is that the "manager" she called over was the Owner. What an absolute shame. read more

I just moved to Camas from NY and I have always used an Aveda salon, I went to salon Magnolia as it was convenient looked good and of course was an 'Aveda' affiliate. I asked for a temp color and a cut & blow out, when I left the salon I noticed my hair wasn't dry properly at the nape of my neck I didn't say anything because I have alot of hair and it looked good on the outside so I didn't want to complain. ( I paid $120 including tip) Next day I was brushing my hair I noticed the color didn't cover anything the sides of my hair had growth plus my 3-4 greys were still there! I was shocked, I went back and showed the owner she said 'what do you want us to do about it?' I said you tell me. she offered to book me in with the same person I said 'i dont think thats a good idea' so she booked me in with another person for the following week. I unfortunately missed that appointment because of a family matter & also because I was embarrassed I put it out of my mind. A week or so went by I got the courage to go back in and say 'can you please fix my hair' they said yes then no, then yes but we have to charge you again we'll give you a 20% discount though. I said 'forget it' ! Now they've lost a potential 'lifetime' client. I would make sure my customer is happy I would not let a customer walk out the door upset or paying for something NOT DONE. it's not about he money but the lack of professionalism and waste of my time on my day off. This salon needs improvement on their skills, their business decisions and their overall customer service. Being nice just doesn't cut it! read more

I decided last minute to drastically change my hair. From long to a pixie cut. I don't do this very often, but surprisingly just decided to schedule an appointment the next day, which they got me in for very nicely. I was late, and they still were just as nice and polite as if I'd walked in on time. My beutician was Sara (PHENOMENAL) I brought two pictures as examples in for her and after looking them over she asked me some very thorough questions and then got to work. I originally came to Shannon on 04/12/14. I found out a few days before I was going to be induced on that evening and I couldn't get into the salon I normally go to.
