Beware! Do NOT book with Gabrielle/Gigi. She is extremely unprofessional. The first time I booked with her weeks in advance and she canceled on me 2 hours before my appt. The second time I scheduled with her she canceled 2 hours before again! And Siren Salon has a 24 hour cancellation policy for their guests in which if you cancel less than 24 hours you will be charged the full service amount. But their stylists can cancel on their clients whenever? She was very nonchalant and entitled when texting about canceling. Luckily I had a feeling she would cancel the second time so I booked a back up appt at a different salon. Avoid Siren Salon at all cost. I had my hair colored by Whitney. She did a color correction. My hair was in really bad shape from a salon that could not get the color right. I wanted platinum blonde. A boyfriend you can kick to the curb and the public has no idea he messed you up, but a hair dresser can show the world the damage they do to your beautiful hair. I was recommended to come to Siren after miserably failing to be my own hair dresser and never being able to find the perfect one in Seattle. My best friend pointed me in the direction of Kate and all it took was one small glimpse at her portfolio and I knew I had found *the one*. I went in to get some corrective coloring done and left feeling 110% about myself and the way my hair looked. The salon is located in a great area of downtown Vancouver (don't forget your quarters to park!) and is sooo spacious and absolutely adorable. You definitely need to schedule in a timely fashion because Kate's schedule fills up quickly, but she is worth the wait, and a pleasure to work with. She's professional, easy to talk to, and just down right adorable! I went in with one thing in mind but after some brainstorming we went a different direction in which we both felt the most comfortable. This is by far the best salon I've had the pleasure of visiting in the Vancouver area. I've sent everyone that I know to this salon. I was going to (another salon) and they had just about destroyed the vision that I had of healthy hair. She recommended Davines to me, and I'll never use another product. She had me use a mask before our appointment to do some QC on my hair. The owner, Kate, is amazing. I've been going to Gigi at siren for over a year now! She uses really high quality products and does her best to give you exactly what you want. I recently started a new medication (which I didn't disclose to her) that has affected my scalp and hair. She started to lighten my roots and it started to burn, she rinsed me immediately and asked if I've used anything new or started any new medication. When I told her I had she did a bunch of research to try and still give me what I wanted!! Terrible customer service from Gabrielle. I had texted her months back about a color correction and she never responded. A few months later I tried to schedule an appointment with her and she told me she will never do my hair because I missed an appointment with her when I had never scheduled an appointment. My former stylist moved out of town, and a family reunion was on the horizon. Instead of making the wise decision of finding a good stylist, I made a couple (almost) fatal errors. 1) Chop job at SuperCuts 2) Boxed color from Safeway The color was too dark. Thats ok! Ill just make another (almost) fatal error and 3) Grab a box to do-it-yourself highlights Next day, looking in the mirror I realized that I should now do what I should have done in the first place. Only this time, specialized skills in color correction were necessary. I scanned through reviews and found Siren Salon. I called and explained how dire my need was. The fantastic receptionist (who, thankfully didn't laugh her head off at me) quickly scheduled me for the following Monday. Yes! Family reunion photos were Tuesday! I received a confirmation call from Siren Salon on Saturday (way to follow up, love it!) and lived the rest of my weekend out of the public eye. The salon was easy to find, a quick jump off I-5 and a fair amount of parking to choose from. Kyleigh greeted me with a smile and quickly eased my nerves with her calm and reassuring demeanor. She listened to my concerns and came up with suggestions and a correction plan. She mixed up color and applied it with skill and ease. The products she used were high quality and she explained each step and product she was using. Not only did she execute my cut perfectly, she has also given me expert advice on all of my cuts and color since. She treated my little one like one of the ladies, and my daughter loved every second of it. I just moved to Vancouver from Sacramento, CA and was not looking forward to finding a new stylist. I am a natural brunette that regularly colors my hair red. I try to go for as natural red as possible-no fire truck red or purplish undertones. Before the move I changed to a mellow red ombre that was done really well and I wanted to keep up. This salon is the best one I have ever been to! I live in downtown Portland, but am happy to make the trip to Vancouver because they are so professional and talented here. I came to Morgan because I was very unhappy with my hair - I had brassy highlights that were not the right color for my skin tone and that made me feel embarrassed when my hair was down. She knew exactly what I needed when I explained the situation to her and walked me through the entire process as she was doing it. I went to Whitney at Siren Salon a week before my engagement photos to get a hair cut and colored and it was a nightmare. She didn't listen to anything I said which resulted in me having to go to her twice (and I had to pay twice) to try and fix my color and both times she ignored my requests because she liked what she did better. Both times I walked away devastated and panicked over my upcoming photos and it only got worse! My hair had layer after layer of bleach and started breaking and falling out. My hair feels like straw, tangles like crazy and is falling out! I have short chunks of hair all over my head. Save your hair and your money and go somewhere else!!!! I called Samantha on recommendation of someone and she got me in after hour appointment as an emergency. My hair was stunning for the wedding.
