When I finish with a haircut that's what I'm there for - only a haircut. That's it. I blocked her # and now I've had other women from the shop show up on my FB account. I'm not coming back to Allure, I got gaslit by someone I don't even know.

My daughter came out crying!!! We are latin by the way. My daughter suffers from high anxiety and is on the spectrum. just going to ask for an appointment was hard enough. Being treated in such a crapy manner was not ok. I was furious I did go on line and they had plenty of appointments available. So not sure what the issue was. This ladies don't need any more costumers. She was only asking to book an appointment by the way. I never leave bad reviews but this place needs to work on their customer service.

She did not install my extensions correctly on Wednesday of this week. They are placed 2 1/2 inches apart and she installed the top weft too close to my crown so I need to wear a hat to cover them. She also sewed the ends of the wefts incorrectly so they flip in a weird way and don't lay flat. I was scheduled to go in to the salon again today to get a redo and a style cut to blend the extensions. This is the first in all these years that my hair wasn't styled to blend in. On my way to the appointment today Lindsey texted me to cancel saying she didn't feel good enough to stay at the salon for my appointment. This, to me is totally unacceptable and her comment was "When I have time, I'll look at my calendar to see when I can reschedule you." This is the epitome in terrible customer service. Anthony, the owner of the salon is a pro and this is not representative at all on how he conducts business. It's disappointing that Lindsey doesn't represent the true professionalism and care that Anthony exhibits as this reflects on the reputation of the salon, which isn't a true representation. My husband and I both love Anthony's work. I have cancelled my future appointments with Lindsey. If you read other reviews about Lindsey this seems to be a common practice for her .... cancelling at the last minute. As a side note, I feel it is very disrespected to be addressed as "Hey you" or "Babe." Lindsey has much to learn.

I always have been. The salon is off the beaten path - but it is clean, cute, and personable. I started feeling some vertigo symptoms ( something I've only experienced once in my life ) I shrugged it off as to not flake on my appointment. Off the bat - Kelly was SO kind, personable, and warm. She took great time and detail to go over the photo idea I had - what I did and didn't like about it, and asked super honest questions. Usually stylists look at the photo somewhat annoyed - say "yeah" a couple hundred times, and it ends up being something quite different. I truly enjoyed talking with her as she did my hair - and I began to feel sicker. She was super easy to talk to - SUPER knowledgeable in the art, and really kind. She was super attentive in grabbing me water, offering me food, and steadying the chair when trimming my hair. Long story short - I ended up in the ER for severe peripheral vertigo - BUT my hair turned out AMAZING AND JUST AS I ENVISIONED! My stylist was Jen G…read more I came to the salon with multiple inspiration photos and had a detailed consultation about the look I wanted. I specifically requested a cool-toned ash balayage with depth at the root and brighter ends, and I clearly communicated that I wanted to avoid warm, golden, or brassy tones. In fact, warm golden tones were my one clear "hard no." When the service was finished, the result looked much more like traditional highlights throughout the hair rather than the balayage effect shown in the reference photos. The color was significantly warmer than what we had discussed. What was most frustrating was what happened next. During the blow dry, I asked what toner had been used. I was told it was a golden blonde toner and was also told, "I know you didn't want that, but I had to use it because of chemistry. If I used the color you wanted, your hair would have turned green." My concern is not that professional judgment was used. My concern is that this conversation happened after the toner had already been applied. If the original plan was no longer achievable, I would have appreciated being informed beforehand and given the opportunity to discuss alternatives and make an informed decision about how to proceed. I like to be given the opportunity to consent, not have it stripped from me. I was polite and respectful, but I expressed that I was unhappy because the final result did not resemble the inspiration photos I had provided. Initially, my stylist agreed to a correction appointment. After further discussion and after I contacted the salon in hopes of speaking with the owner about alternative options, I never received a call back. Instead, my stylist later informed me by text that she had heard I spoke to a colleague in an unprofessional manner. That allegation was surprising and upsetting because it is simply not true. At that point, the stylist stated that she no longer wished to continue with the corrective service and offered a refund. While I appreciate receiving a refund for the service itself, the gratuity was not refunded despite the refund being described as a "full refund." The most disappointing part of this experience was not the hair color itself. Hair can be corrected. What left a lasting impression was the breakdown in communication, the lack of follow-up from management, being accused of behavior that did not occur, and ultimately losing confidence that my concerns were being heard. A BAD SERVICE CAN BE FIXED. BAD OWNERSHIP IS A DIFFERENT STORY…read more I rarely post negative experiences with local businesses, but after what happened with my 14-year-old daughter at Studio 192 Salon, and especially how the owner handled it, I feel others should know before choosing to support this business. My daughter had a cut and color on August 18 after having a consultation beforehand. The appointment went terribly. Her hair became so severely knotted during the service that I and two other stylists spent about an hour trying to untangle it, at one point fearing some might have to be cut out. She lost a significant amount of hair, the haircut was badly done, and the color did not take properly. Initially, the salon handled the situation very well. Deena at the front desk was incredibly kind, reversed the $130 service charge and charged me only $35 for products. She scheduled us to return on August 22 for a no-charge corrective haircut with Jasmine. Jasmine was AMAZING. She did a beautiful job fixing my daughter's haircut. We were then scheduled to return today, August 31, to have the color corrected and were initially told that would also be complimentary. Later, Deena called to tell me that the owner, Amy, had decided I would need to pay for today's color after all. I didn't agree, but I thanked her for letting me know and decided I would pay. At that point, I just wanted my daughter's hair fixed. We showed up today prepared to pay for the color. Instead, Amy confronted me and insisted I also needed to retroactively pay for the August 22 corrective haircut because Jasmine hadn't been paid for it, even though her own staff had specifically told me there would be no charge. When I explained that I simply followed what her staff told me, Amy responded, "Then how was Jasmine supposed to get paid?" I told her that how she compensates her employee for a corrective service her salon authorized as complimentary is between her and her staff. It isn't reasonable to come back 1 1/2 weeks later and demand that the customer pay for it. I told Amy I would still pay for today's color correction as agreed, but after today we would not return. Her response? "You can get your daughter now and go, and that will be that." She kicked us out. This confrontation also happened in front of another customer who was having her hair washed. What makes this so disappointing is that Deena and Jasmine were absolutely wonderful, and we've also had great experiences with Ember. They treated my daughter with kindness and professionalism and genuinely tried to make a terrible situation right. This wasn't about me refusing to pay. I walked in today prepared to pay. It was about being asked to retroactively pay for a corrective service I had explicitly been told was complimentary--and then being treated this way by the owner when I questioned it. Mistakes happen. A bad haircut or color can be corrected. How a business owner treats customers when something goes wrong says far more about a business. Unfortunately, after our experience with Amy today, we will never return or support this business again. **** UPDATE: Adding a photo of what my daughter's hair looked like when we left the salon on August 18. She went into the salon with healthy hair and subtle honey highlights. We asked to have the honey highlights brought up toward the roots and for a curly/Deva-style cut. The photo speaks for itself as to the condition of her hair when we left. Unfortunately, the owner has now responded to a review on another fourm by essentially accusing me of being dishonest and presenting a version of events that does not reflect what occurred. I stand by what I wrote. My original post was a factual account of our experience, including giving full credit to the employees who were kind, professional, and did everything they could to make the situation right. I had hoped the owner would respond with the same level of professionalism and accountability that her employees demonstrated. Unfortunately, her response has only reinforced my concerns about how this situation, and ultimately her customers, were handled.
