I've visited twice already and my favorite drink by far is the cloud mist milk green tea. I had it both cold and hot, I recommend the hot one if you want to warm up. Tsaocaa is located above a Internet cafe so there's always people out front but don't let that deter you from going in! There's PLENTY of seating. Did I mention they also have fried chicken?? The 5-7 mins I waited for my drink (which felt really long) was enough to make my hair smell like smoke. Their menu is a bit different from most bubble tea shops - they don't have the typical flavors, more flavored oolong teas, many different kinds of green teas, and option of adding a cheese milk foam or matcha foam to the drink, which was intriguing. Got a rose oolong tea with matcha milk foam. Wasn't adventurous enough for the cheese foam though I'm sure it would've been fine. Cup was cute and study (though it took me a minute to figure out where the straw went, ended up putting it in the hole farthest away from the red thing). The drink itself was meh - very bland and no rose taste. Could say it was "refreshing" but it wasn't satisfying. Felt more thirsty after drinking it, not sure how that was possible. Matcha foam was probably the best part since it at least tasted like matcha. Hubby said after that it might've tasted better if we had mixed the matcha foam into the tea.. no idea if that was what I was supposed to do. In any case, this didn't satisfy my bubble tea craving. Decor could be described as cute and modern, bright and clean walls and decor with what appeared to be fake plants... but it felt a bit off. Not sure if the lighting was too bright or something else, but it felt like it was trying to present itself as something it wasn't.. if that makes any sense at all. A strange ambiance. I don't know how I should feel about this place. At first I thought it was an amazing find ! Fresh tea with Korean chicken. How can a combination like that not be good !?! It's really an aesthetically appealing place but it always smells of smoke and it's really hard for me to breathe while I'm there. The drinks are alright. I liked certain ones but not others. I'm not even sorry for rating this place so harshly during the pandemic. Of all the bubble tea shops in the area they're service is by far the worst and here's why 1. They request customers to cancel their grub hub orders. Upon all the orders made from my household they would either ignore the grubhub order until you call the restaurant to check the status of the order or they would call you and request that you cancel your grubhub order and order on the phone instead. The lady that calls us always claims that it's cheaper if we call instead. The whole rodeo always causes us about 2 hours to get the food. Why bother putting your business on grubhub if you won't let your customers use it? 2. That's another thing. We live roughly 15 mins (with traffic) from this location and somehow we always have to wait up to an hour to receive our food. The last time we called to order they did not deliver until we called to ask for the order and they say they will have it delivered but that wasn't until another hour. We received cold chicken and fries that probably just sat there for over an hour before being delivered. If we are within the delivery range then how come there is such long wait time? 3. Their honey garlic wings and my brother is obsessed so he's willing to wait a whole hour or two. Every. Single. Time. But when he started calling to order again the restaurant would not pick up even after 5 tries. These are all signs of terrible service. We really want to be loyal customers but they make it very difficult for us. Especially when it's still the pandemic and we rely of food delivering services so much. We have had so much patience and understanding with this business but it's been disappointing til the end. So if by chance the business owner or manager is able to read this I hope you can consider overlooking the business operations to see if you work on these flaws. We look forward to be future customers but as of now it's not an ideal go to. Update: this is officially the last purchase from this business. The delivery guy shows up an hour late and requests a certain tip and he receives then proceeds to complain because "the weather is cold. It's not enough". I am conflicted on how many stars to give this place. I want to give a 2, but I guess I will give a 3 because I understand businesses are hurting. Korean fried chicken is freshly made so I recommend calling in or you'll be waiting for a very long time. When I went to pay, the price didn't match up. My food was $2 more than what was on the menu. They didn't bother telling me that until I pointed it out and they said it was the old menu. I hate it when establishments do that and try to pull a fast one on you. It was only $2 so I let it slide and also let it slide because of the pandemic. I am all for supporting mom and pop's, but please don't pull a fast one on your customers if you want loyal returning customers. The wings were terrible. I ordered soy garlic and the sauce was basically drizzled on top. It wasn't mixed in like how it's supposed to be done. So some parts of the chicken wasn't even sauced correctly. The wings were also terrible because they were so so so so so tiny. They were the size for a kid. I felt so ripped off. I really wanted to love this place, but I won't be returning.
