Once again we made a stop at Turning Stone this weekend, this time to golf at one of their many beautiful courses. We played right up until sunset and after walking the entire course on foot we were quite famished. We decided to hit up TS steakhouse at the Turning Stone tower. The casino was absolutely bustling and we had an hour or so wait (time we killed with wins at the casino floor!!) until our table was ready. Located up on the highest floor, the views from the steakhouse was spectacular. We set upstairs in the balcony, which was a private area with only a couple of tables and felt quite romantic. We truly enjoyed our server Robin, who informed us that she had been working there for 27 years! We felt very lucky to have her. She told us that the steakhouse opened back in 2011, prior to that this space used to be an exclusive clubhouse of course. We started the night with a glass of dirty martini for myself (with blue cheese olives) and a Manhattan for my boyfriend. Both were well made and enjoyable! For appetizers, we had a complimentary bread and butter platter which in itself could have filled me up however, I was quite hungry. The bread was warm, moist, and flavorful. I then Eagerly enjoyed my bowl of Caesar salad. Note, we had ordered one salad to share, and they were gracious enough to split it into two separate bowls so I didn't to fight my boyfriend for extra bites! Our entrées arrived in a timely manner, and we dug in. My boyfriend ordered a large skirt steak and I switched it up with some seafood - tuna steak, medium rare, with crab meat, asparagus, and a side of scallops which I ordered at an extra charge. We also got a side of mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was some of the best I've ever had; what I really liked about it was that the pasta was al dente and so the texture was slightly chewy, and the cheese was rich and delicious. Our entrées were both loved. The steak was cooked to perfection and medium rare as requested. The tuna steak had a gorgeous color and succulent in taste. The scallops were seared beautifully and quite delicious and fresh. We didn't have any space for dessert, but rest assured we will be back! Great location with a beautiful restaurant on the 21st floor which is amazing for a sunset dinner. The food was good, but for price and fine dining, I expected a better steak. Not bad at all, just had higher expectations around it in terms of temperature and that it was a little dry. We had the filet, which was good by itself and didn't need any sauces. We tried the red wine and signature sauce, both of which we didn't care for. The signature was had too much of a tomato flavor, almost similar to ketchup, and the red wine seemed more molasses/ sugar based than a wine flavor. We also had the scallops which were delicious and perfectly cooked. The Mac and cheese was also perfectly flavored and cooked. For desert we had their lemon cake with cream filling. It definitely had a lemon flavor but was well balanced by the cream filling. And the buttercream on top was one of the best butter creams I have had. The service was good, prompt and very friendly. Went to TS Steakhouse at Turning Stone on a Wednesday evening with a group of coworkers and the place was busy, which made for a great energy. Even with how crowded it was, the service was absolutely top notch from start to finish. Attentive, professional, and well-paced without ever feeling rushed. The ambiance is classic upscale steakhouse with a modern feel, lively but still comfortable enough for conversation, making it a great spot for a business dinner or group outing. We enjoyed bottles of great red Merlot, which paired perfectly with the meal and added to the overall experience. We started with a Caesar salad that was very fresh and served with anchovies, which in my opinion is what makes a true Caesar and it did not disappoint. I ordered the sea bass, which had a really cool presentation and was cooked nicely. It felt elevated and thoughtfully prepared. The lobster bisque looked beautiful presentation-wise but was just okay in flavor. It lacked depth and richness and I found myself rushing through it. The family-style sides were excellent and more than enough for our party of six. The creamed spinach and mushrooms were both very good and everyone at the table loved them. As for the steaks, everyone was extremely happy. Our group tried a variety of the available cuts and each one was cooked properly and thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, TS Steakhouse delivered a great dining experience with excellent service, strong ambiance, quality food, and standout sides. We went to the TS steakhouse for a group celebration, we were really pleased with the whole experience! Our server, Robin, had excellent recommendations and was very attentive! The seasonal cocktails were very fun, and the wine and beer list was very extensive (and included NY wines & beer!). Of course, HAD to try the steak - it was amazing! It was cooked perfectly to temperature, and the signature TS steak sauce was delicious. We tried the family style sides - good portions for the 6 of us. We had a fantastic dinner here! Service was on point. We were given a fantastic table. There was a piano player which just made the experience even more special. The highlights food wise were the delmonico, steak tartare, and lobster mac. I have spent decades in fine dining establishments around the world and the offerings at TS Steakhouse were top notch! As a native Baltimorean, I cannot recommend the "Maryland" style crab cake. They are not like the ones we make in Maryland. Other than that, I have no complaints. Extra star for service. I'm a little annoyed with places that you book many times on open table or Resy and they always ask if it's your first time. Here they remember me. Their cocktails always are nicely made. The shrimp cocktail was solid. Had the dry aged Delmonico which was great. So were the mushrooms. The chocolate lava cake was a decadent version. Went there last evening with my wife Up on vacation wanted to have a special dinner out. Well it wasn't a real memorable night of fine dining. The wine although pricey was very good. We were told the sides were large enough to share. Only if you have a small appetite. We both ordered the porterhouse steak. Cooked Pittsburgh style medium rare. They were cooked correctly but had a surprising amount of grizzle. Service and atmosphere was very good but not in the running of our regular premium steak houses. read more

Went here with my adult son for his birthday dinner. Great service! I had THE most tender steak I've had in quite a while. The sides are family style so we all chose something different (Brussel sprouts with bacon and maple syrup, cream corn with jalapeño and buttered mashed potatoes). We have a group of people who frequent high end restaurants around the northeast and review them. In my experience, it's hard pressed to give any business a 1 star review on here...but this one was well earned. Tonight we were a little more casual and visited the "Tin Rooster" for a more relaxed atmosphere and wanted to stop by the TS Steakhouse as that was next on our list to attend. Now keep in mind we weren't exactly dressed in our "best dinner attire" for the BBQ restaurant we were just at, mostly business casual/casual. So after dinner at the rooster we went to TS steakhouse to grab drinks and do a menu review for down the road. We were there for about 15 minutes waiting to order drinks and a server came up to a member of our party and gave them a hard time about their "dress code" of wearing a jacket/hoodie which did have military/police markings on it. Server came off sort of snotty to be honest but the person didn't argue, and was more so confused as the party was looking to order drinks only from the bar and socialize about tonight's events. The person did have a black shirt on underneath, but judging by what some of the other "patrons" were wearing (gold chains and t-shirts with iron on dragon with flame decals) I think a military styled hoodie was the least of their worries. After that interaction we decided to cancel our drink order for the party and promptly left and will not be attending TS Steakhouse in the future. If I could offer my 2 cents, you don't know if someone just rolled up there after spending $5000 at the high rollers table, so you should be mindful about the way you approach people. read more

Well, we finally made it up to Turning Stones TS Restaurant. 21st floor with fantastic views, depending where you sit. Soooo Expect to order a month in advance for a weekend date. Make sure you specify NO balcony if walking up a long staircase is not acceptable. We were not aware of this when we made the call so one of us in our party had a difficult time. They could not relocate us. That's it for the negative. We were greeted by very friendly and understanding staff. One half of our party were a bit delayed and TS gladly held our table no problem. Patrick, our server, was very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. We had a great time all night thanks to Patrick. Starters worth mentioning. Escargot En Croute In a word: OUTSTANDING Nothing else to say. Served exactly as described Highly recommended Iceberg salads, FO soup, all excellent Filets were 8oz and cooked to perfection Delicious The star of the show: Tuna a la Oscar Peppercorn Crusted Yellowfin, Grilled Asparagus, Red Chili Béarnaise, Jumbo Lump Blue Crab Cooked per chef's recommendation was phenomenal. Just enough seasoning with loads of crab. If one was to keep score, this was easily the winner. Service was excellent, never an empty glass or crumb left behind and never felt rushed. Even a couple of special deserts for two of our celebrated guests. Overall, TS Restaurant is highly recommended. My opinion of course. Note: if you want a view, stay on the main level and remember to specifically ask for a window view. My family and I came here to celebrate my brother's birthday and it was a great experience. I called and made a reservation and let them know we were celebrating a birthday and that a member of our party has a gluten allergy and they were so accommodating. This place is a little on the expensive side but totally worth it. The service was incredible. We had Patrick as our waiter and he answered any and all questions we had about the menu and was helpful with wine pairings for our entrees. The additional wait stuff were also very attentive to all of our needs and requests. We really liked the option to either order single serving sides or family style sides to share across the table. Everything we ate was delicious and cooked as ordered. They brought out a birthday dessert for everyone to share and had chocolates for us once we were leaving. It is kind of dark so the menus were a little hard to see but not too bad. The bill came in a book that lit up though. I'm crying. Seriously....the sea bass brought a tear to my eye with how perfectly it was prepared. The miso broth it comes with is to die for! It's house made right in front of you! Delicious! The truffle mashed potatoes were perfectly balanced. Not too much butter and the truffle didn't overwhelm. The heirloom tomato salad was so fresh and tasty! The ambience was sooo romantic. I should have expected my husband to propose a second time! Our wait staff were so kind, fun, and knowledgeable. A big thank you to them! The TS Steakhouse delivers. It was tough to decide between the bone in rib eye, and the T-bone, but ribeyes are my favorite, and I'm happy with my decision. The service is top knotch. Everything from the color of your napkin to match your outfit, to, addressing any needs or questions you may have. We started with an appetizer that was the special. Prosciutto with apricots over a crostini with a blueberry horseradish sauce. The sauce was pretty horseradish heavy, and I would have preferred individual crostini's instead of one large piece which made it tough for eating. The sides of the buttered mashed potatoes and the mac and cheese were the perfect pair for the perfectly cooked steaks that we received. Each steak comes with your choice of sauce, which, I feel is unnecessary because the steak needs nothing more. Worth the price! read more

Hostess said give us just a moment. That's common. No worries. What isn't common is for the two hosts to just go missing and ignore us for the next ten minutes. No updates. No courtesy. Nothing. Now at 745 my friend asks about what's going on and we get some runaround about "ensuring our previous guests experience". Um. Why book a reservation for a place like this if you're not going to sit us when we arrive on time. We finally got seated and basically shoved aside. Easily the worst part of the night. Atmosphere: Louder than I expected but still pretty nice. Our waiter: John was an absolute delight. Perfect with recommendations and courtesy. Drinks: I got the Gotham and loved it. Such a unique drink. Rest of the table very happy with their choices too. Salad: Wedge. Bacon on it was great. Rest was ehhhh Steak: absolutely PERFECT New York Strip. Spice mix great. The sauce was a nice add on. Sides: If you get one thing on this entire menu, make it the Brussels sprouts. Maple glazed and amazing. Overall: Rough start. Ok middle. Nice finish. Excellent deep rich broth, masses of caramelised onions and a large crouton smothered in a house Mozzarella. We went separate ways for entrees. My wife enjoyed her excellent Prime Rib served with grilled asparagus and cream of horseradish sauce. I went for the Scallops. Served on a bed of Celeriac mousse with a fragrant sauce. And then 2 HUGE Creme Brulees with fresh fruit. Decadent but how do you say no. The host, Bob was friendly and a special thanks to our waitress, Grace for her friendly yet impeccable service. Everything about this meal was exceptional. John, our server, was the best ever and the food was, top to bottom, delicious. Here to celebrate our anniversary (a little early) we had six delicious oysters, which arrived on a beautiful cobalt blue plate with dry ice swirling and they tasted as good as they looked. Then the husband had the steak tartare which was just perfectly seasoned: really tasted the beef. I had the lobster cocktail which was served on a block of ice and was just so good and so plentiful- and did I mention the garlic herb butter. Dinner was prime rib, the best I've ever had, truly, and the husband had the Chilean sea bass with a miso green tea sauce that was served in a fascinating tea pot and was SO amazing to eat and just delicious. A little complementary dessert and - did I mention the martinis...One of the best meals we have ever had. NOT cheap, but not as expensive as anticipated, but - OH! so very very good. The presentation on the 21st floor is spectacular. The woodwork is unbelievable, and the views are immense. The staff was unbelievably friendly and all of that is five star. The food presentation is also five star the sides, especially the brussels sprouts with the candied bacon were above five star. We cannot stay away from this place. Another fantastic, outstanding, truly unique dining experience at Turning Stone's top notch steakhouse, punctuated, as always, by the superlative guest service and attention to details. Our evening began with their new signature cocktail, the Nantucket Tonic, made with Wenneker Elderflower Gin, pea flour, antica vermouth, muddled cranberries, and a splash of tonic, then topped with sage leafs and skewered cranberries. Their mixologist Sarah, who can be seen shaking things up behind the bar, hit a grand slam crafting this cocktail, which was gorgeous with its layered purple and garnet colors, and perfectly balanced in flavor - every ingredient was on my palate with an emphasis on the Wenneker Elderflower Gin. Thank you, Sarah, for one of the best cocktails I have had in years. The kitchen treated us to a scrumptious amuse Bouche of chilled sweet potato bisque topped with candied crumbled maple bacon - savory and sweet and delicate, deliciousness in a shot glass. From there, we shared a medium rare prime rib, cooked to perfection with a crust of seasoning that took us to flavor town. The bernaise on the side was twangy and tasty, and the little star of green herb butter was a perfect accoutrement. On the side, we shared an unctuous Mac and cheese, gooey inside and crispy outside with a panko topping. With that, we had my favorite side dish on their menu, the roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon. More please! The service here is still the gold standard for every five star steakhouse in America. Renee was attentive and friendly, Jen the manager was affable and accommodating, and the rest of their team, from their charming hostess to the diligent busser provided us with an experience we cannot get anywhere else, including back on Long Island. For a supposedly ranked and top steakhouse in a renowned casino I was very disappointed. I made a reservation noting that it was a special occasion and selected birthday as well as requesting a nice table. In an almost empty restaurant we were sat directly next to another table with the only divider being a column. We were read the specials which included a couple specialty steaks but were not informed of the ozs. But we were well informed of the price. I found this odd as I've never been told the price of specials at any other restaurant. We were brought bread and butter and our waters were constantly full. I ordered the filet mignon medium rarer and requested a wine recommendation. The server didn't seem to have one in mind or know what would complement the steak. From the time of placing our order it took over an hour for two steaks and two sides to be brought to us. My partner ordered steak fries which were actually just massive fried potatoes. You could say potato wedge but I means they were bigger than the knives. Not close to fries at all. My steak was also very rare in the center. We did not see our waiter once since ordered our meal except to sweep crumbs off the table. We waited so long for the meal we skipped dessert because we just wanted to get out of the restaurant. Take the reserved elevator to the Turning Stone Steakhouse and once you arrive there is no turning back. I did a walk around before being seated and took in the view from the 21st floor which is also viewable from the men's room. My aunt and I came here on a last minute decision. I was wearing shorts and a nice polo. They said there was a dress code of no shorts but it would be fine. Honestly, I did feel out of place because most men had suits on but in the big picture...who cares? Appetizer: Lobster Bisque was the best I have ever had and I have tried plenty. Bone Marrow. I have never had it before. A friend of mine told me he tried it here years ago and said it was awesome. It was not on the menu but our waitress said whatever I want, she would bring me. This Bone Marrow was probably the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. JUST ORDER IT. Salad: Let me start off by saying I am Middle Class and usually go to "regular" restaurants. About as fancy as I get is crumbly blue cheese with Italian dressing, onions, and tomato. I hated the salad and so did my aunt. It was full of fancy greens and the dressing basically tasted like runny pepper. It was a salad though so who really cares? Entree: We both got the Bone in RIbeye. It was the best steak my aunt and I have ever tasted. Cooked perfectly. I got mine with Blue Cheese Crumbles roasted on top. there was a side of some sauce (I forgot what it is called) that made this "best steak I have ever had" even better. The steak comes out salted and I am glad I tried it first before putting salt on it which I usually do because what is a steak without salt? The table next to us ordered dessert. The cake slices were huge looked like pieces of art. I really wanted to try a slice sadly we were too full. I ordered an espresso instead and to no surprise even the espresso was the best I have ever had. My aunt used her Karats earned from playing slot machines in the casino to pay the $180 check. Now, I am not rich nor do I like spending $$$$ at restaurants. The thing that usually keeps me from high end restaurants like TSS is taking the risk of not getting a good meal or having a bad experience and still having to spend a lot of money in the end. Having said that, I will be back to TSS. WIth the meal we had and the service that was provided to us, they can take my money once in a great, great while. Located on the 21st floor of the Tower hotel. Only one elevator will take you to the restaurant, but its clearly marked. I love to hang out in the bar area, there are a bunch of tables to sit at. The bar itself is a small round tabletop with limited seating, but so much fun sitting here. Great bartenders, always able to make the perfect drinks! When the weather is nice I prefer to take my drink out on the patio. There are a few tables and chairs outside with incredible views of the mountains and surrounding golf courses. I came in here with a few colleagues after a busy day at our annual four-day conference at the Turning Stone Resort & Convention Center. We all wanted to scope out the new "TS Steakhouse" so we jumped into the tower elevator and hit the only button we could... "21." Enter TS Steakhouse, located at the penthouse site of the former member's only (AKA high roller's) club, and open to the public as of Thursday 11/15. The steakhouse offers two intimate levels of dimly-lit seating, with an accompanying bar/lounge area and an outdoor balcony, with southern and western views. We decided to skip on the $75 surf & turn (WHOA!) and sat in the lounge area for a round of drinks. My Goose/Bombay Sapphire martini was mixed perfectly, and served in a pre-chilled glass - a nice touch. My colleagues ordered a Manhattan, and another martini. We enjoyed our drinks and some catching up on the day's workshops. The silky smooth lounge setting surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows provided us an impressive view of the evening's red sky. Based on the atmosphere alone, this place is definitely worth the pricey drinks and four-star rating, but I'd like to come back here and try one of their prized steaks. There must have been literally 40 staff members (all EXTREMELY friendly, courteous, and professional) stationed around various areas of the restaurant, but I'll assume they're high in numbers because they've just opened. -- PS - After asking, I found out that the TS Steakhouse has replaced the now-closed "Forest Grill" steakhouse (located across from Peach Blossom), and that Forest Grill will be renovated into a dueling piano bar....I'm looking forward to coming back to see that transformation! read more

We had a truly exceptional meal at TS Steakhouse at Turning Stone! We were heading to the casino for the night to see some friends and among my party were two meat eaters, a vegetarian and me, a pescatarian. We had checked the menu before hand and knew that there were choices for everyone. We got on the elevator up to the 21st floor and walked into the beautiful dining room space. I'd say it's almost both too stereotypically casino and steakhouse, but it was a fun experience for a special occasion. There is an element of molecular gastronomy with some of the dishes, and from looking around it seemed to be mostly the seafood dishes. We watched neighboring tables get "smoking" plates of raw oysters, and some kind of bubbler for miso broth and when my salmon came out it was under a glass bubble filled with smoke. It left the salmon with a nice smoky flavor which was complimented by the sweet potato latke on which it rested. My partner had the vegetarian meatloaf, which is one of the best versions of this dish I have ever had. It was savory with plenty of moisture and a mushroom gravy. Our friends had the fillet and the veal tomahawk. Each dish was more impressive than the last. We added sides of mac and cheese, asparagus and creamed spinach to share as a table. You'll need sides as the full menu is a la carte The server brought delicious mini corn bread to the table. Sides were served in cast iron bowls which kept them perfectly hot. We closed the meal with coffee and creme brûlée- which was a great value at $10 and served with a tiramisu sandwich cookie on the side. Losing money in the casino is never easy. I was very bummed to have lost a decent amount of money when I was feeling lucky. I decided to go to the steakhouse to dull my pain with some steak and wine like any other normal human being. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a beautiful view of the scenery and a friendly smile by the hostess! She immediately greeted me and introduced herself as Abbi. She asked how she could help today with a smile and a great attitude. I probably complained a little bit more than I had to, but she seemed to have understood my pain of losing money in the casino. She was very attentive and talkative with me, not something you see in staff today, so that was a great start to my visit to the steakhouse. I decided to sit at the bar and talk with Sarah, the pleasant bartender. She was wonderful to talk with and gave me great suggestions for food and wine. She was also just attentive as Abbi and made amazing conversation as we talked about life and why I had come to the casino in the first place. The food was good, but the staff and service was even greater! BRUHHHH. If you're going to come here, prepare to ball out. I already looked at the menu and prices before hand. So I knew what I was getting myself into. We don't do this all the time so why not? Go right ahead and spend the $100 on the bone in 45 day aged ribeye. It Is worth every penny and serves two! We sat in the bar area, but I actually liked It a lot better than the formal dining room. This place is fancy af lol. Honestly we went on a whim and decided to try it out so I felt underdressed but oh well. Anyhow let's get into this steak. The presentation is A1. Not the steak sauce okay. Lol. Everything served was beautiful!! And tasted even better. We went with another couple so It was 4 total. I split the ribeye while the other had the seafood tower. This 45 day aged ribeye. Loooooord. It was soooo good. The meat itself had so much flavor. And it was so soft and tender, like butter. We were able to order at two temperatures. Rare plus, and Med Rare. I thought the rare was going to be too much for me. I love my steak red but not raw lol. Honestly though the rare plus came out pretty Med rare. And the med rare actually came out medium. Sooo maybe the temps were a little off but no complaints. As long as it's not well done! Lol the rib eye comes with a small little bone marrow and the rib which had tons of meat on it itself. There was a nice crust to it, and was served with like 5 different sauces. It really didn't need sauce though because if you're going to eat an expensive steak. You need to eat It for the flavor of the meat itself. I don't like my steak to be too fatty. But this was like on another level of fat. This was the good fatty flavor. It comes served on a nice wooden board kinda looking thing lol. With some roasted garlic as well. Omggg the garlic itself was amazing too. The sides came in cute little cauldrons haha. It's really not a cauldron, but It reminded me of them. Anything tiny and small version is automatically cute to me though. It looks like a small serving but It was perfect! I shared It with my husband actually. There was no way I could eat It all plus all the steak. We actually didn't even finish the steak. So much meat. Though we came pretty close hah. Just look at the picture, the presentation speaks for itself. DO IT. You won't regret it!! The other part of our order was the seafood tower. $55 suppose to serve 2. This is more of an appetizer. But I can never really get full off of seafood either way. I just get tired of the flavor and then want something else. The seafood options were nice. But nothing crazy, also pretty small of a portion. But the presentation was beautiful! When it was served there was like a fog running down like the dry ice reaction. I would honestly eat there again. But not for a while lol. We didn't go too crazy with any appetizers. Because we were only there for the steak. So really our bill for 4 wasn't that bad. We know how to ball on a budget hahah. Total came out to $205. $100 dry aged ribeye, $55 seafood tower. 2 sides. And 2 glasses of wine for the other couple. This was enough food to feed the 4 of us. (With leftovers) So $205 + tip between 4 people. Is really not bad! Basically $50 a person. Oh yeah. We started with some bread. And the jalapeño cheddar corn bread I believe was SOOOOO good. I didn't want to eat too much though because I wanted to stuff my face with steak. Ps. We also finished dinner just before the sun set. And we have beautiful pictures!
