Visited Truva for a girls' night out on a Friday. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. What made it even better was that the restaurant wasn't overly crowded, allowing us to enjoy our conversation without any distractions. I would highly consider trying Truva again for another dining experience. By the way, when you arrive, don't forget to ask for the bread. The dipping sauce they serve with it is flavorful.

I've been to this restaurant a couple times now, and I'm still so surprised by how it's not insanely packed out--although that may be due to going there during random lunch days. Both times I've gone, I ordered the same thing because it's so insanely delicious! I had the Adana, which is made of lamb. The plate comes with rice and some vegetables that go perfectly together. The rice is so simple, but it's well cooked and so delicious. It also comes with red onions, a grilled tomato, and greens that were tossed in a lemony sauce--absolute perfection! They also provide you with complimentary bread with a sun-dried tomato sauce that is simply addicting! Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Incredible service, great meal. We were seated in a back corner booth - whole restaurant is beautiful, but especially loved our spot. Started with the babagannoush and liked the flavors but thought it could be better if it was served with pita. + complimentary bread and tomato dip gets a shoutout! I got the chicken with salad as my main and enjoyed both, though I wish the dressing was served on the side. Dessert was baklava (served with ice cream) and a complimentary flan - our server brought it out with a candle when he learned we were celebrating something. Really great for the price, fun experience, nice hospitality, recommend.

My family of four came on Sunday at 5:15 pm and made reservations in advance. Parking was still available on the side parking lot. We were greeted immediately and offered a cozy booth and menus. They have an extensive bar selection. Our waiter, Drew, gave us his recommendation when I told him it was our first time. We enjoyed the muhammara which I ate with the complimentary bread. It has a little spicy kick which I enjoyed. The lentil soup can be split so my kids each had a cup which was a good way to try it. It was pureed so more liquidy and not chunky. I ordered the whole bronzina fish which they can also filet if you don't like to worry about the fish bones. It was so amazing, I would get this every time! My husband enjoyed the adana, son ordered grilled salmon which he demolished, and daughter picked the baked chicken as they were out of chicken adana. We all shared the knufeh which was wonderful and which Drew cut for us and brought us ice cream to go with it. We loved our meal and the service and will definitely come back!

Some of the best authentic Turkish cuisine you can get in Atlanta. Also if you haven't already, try the mussels. Service is polite and top notch. The overall ambiance is warm and luxe as well, with a fantastic bar.

Hands down, this is some of the best food I've had in the city! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch. Our server, Esin, was incredibly pleasant and gave us some great recommendations from the menu. I initially came to Truva for one reason: a craving for calamari. Naturally, I ordered it as an appetizer, and I was not disappointed! It was served with both chili sauce and tartar sauce, and the portion size was huge for an appetizer. A true standout. To accompany it, I enjoyed a delicious lychee martini that hit the spot. For the entrée, my dining partner and I split the mixed grill for two. Let me tell you, I could have eaten the rice alone -- it was so flavorful and anything but bland! Every bite of the meal was delightful. Overall, my dining experience at Truva was exceptional, and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Either naivety or comedic genius designed this logo! Either way, 5 stars for making us all laugh!

It was ok. They were big enough to receive a large party with ease. The cocktails were great! The menu had a lot of variety... but maybe too much. Out of all the dishes my party had, nothing was spectacular. Most dishes fell flat. Despite not being crowded, the service was slow... so we drank more....relaxed more... so great hangout vibe of you aren't in a rush. However, extra points for having a sense of humor and designing your logo to match the business upstairs!

The food and service at Truva Turkish Kitchen in Virginia-Highland were outstanding. I give this place 4.5 stars rounded up to 5. This is perhaps the best Turkish restaurant in metro Atlanta. That said, there aren't many. Delbar and Cafe Agora come to mind. When it comes to Mediterranean food more generally, I think Truva still compares favorably to the competition. I went to the original Truva in downtown Atlanta during Dragon Con: https://bit.ly/47VHTBa That location closed in June 2020, leaving only this one: https://bit.ly/4bf7hom This location replaced American Roadhouse in Virginia-Highland in February 2019. We visited this location for a Sunday lunch. At that time, I was somewhat surprised to see a brunch and breakfast menu, which wasn't on Truva's website when I checked. The menu had a lot of egg dishes (e.g., omelets, Eggs Benedict) and also incorporated Turkish foods like beef soujuk (sujuk - spicy fermented sausage) and borek (pastries/pies). Truva is on OpenTable and they award points. Book your reservation there and earn points which can be used to redeem restaurant discounts, Amazon gift cards, hotel stays, and more. Here's what three of us shared: Hot Meze * Octopus ($16) - chargrilled Mediterranean octopus, arugula salad, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, grilled tomato caper sauce, hummus * Mutebbel ($14) - smoked eggplant, dehydrated yogurt, garlic, walnut, paprika, butter Chargrilled Kebabs * Mixed Grill for Two ($62) plus One ($35) - chargrilled adana, chicken kebab, beef kebab, shaved doner, Turkish rice, grilled tomatoes, long hot peppers, Everything was delicious, especially for a Sunday when service was slow. Sometimes, restaurants don't churn out their best stuff at non-peak times, but everything we ordered was on point. I was impressed. We actually ended up ordering off the dinner menu instead of the lunch menu because we wanted to try a variety of kebabs. The best way to do that was via the "Mixed Grill" option on the dinner menu. Coincidentally, I happened to do the same thing relatively recently - ordered off the dinner menu at lunchtime to try more kebabs - at Zafron Restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant in Sandy Springs. Regardless if you're visiting for lunch or dinner, Truva's Mixed Grill is the way to go if you want to try a lot of items and have a feast. At the time of our visit, the Mixed Grill was designed for one ($35), two ($62), and four ($120) people. Since there were three of us, we got two plus one. The portions were generous. We had leftovers. What impressed me the most was how perfectly each meat was cooked, especially the chicken kebab. The chicken kebab was made out of chicken breast. It was lightly seasoned and chargrilled. Each piece was consistently moist and tender. It's the best chicken kebab I can remember. The other meats - adana (hand-chopped lamb), beef kebab, and shaved doner (beef and lamb) - were terrific as well. All were very flavorful and savory. The adana tasted "clean" (no noticeable game). The doner, which is Turkish, is similar to gyro (Greek). Doner is the OG -- shaved meats like gyro and al pastor (Mexican) evolved from it. I found Truva's doner to be tougher and meatier than gyro, but still quite soft and delectable. The beef kebabs were like mini hot, juicy steaks. Really tasty. The Turkish rice was a fluffy white rice pilaf that tasted great because it soaked up a lot of the meats' juices. That and I believe it was also buttered. The grilled tomatoes, peppers, and side salads (with dressing) were fresh and nice accompaniments. The Mixed Grill also came with a couple sauces, one was tzatziki (yogurt) and the other was roasted red pepper aioli, made in-house. The Octopus and Mutebbel (mutabbal) were fantastic, as was the complimentary housemade tomato sauce they gave us with housemade pita bread to start. I believe the tomato sauce they gave us was Ezme. It's a Turkish red sauce that's kind of like salsa. The pita was appetizingly thick and had some bounce. It was yummy by itself. You can buy Truva's homemade tomato sauce in 10-ounce jars for $10 per jar. You can also buy their aioli. The Octopus dish was packed with flavor and the quality was excellent. To nitpick, the octopus could have been bigger. Mutabbal is similar to, but not the same as, baba ghanoush. Service was wonderful. Unfortunately, I missed our server's name. Otherwise, I would've put in a good word for her here. There was another person, a manager-looking guy, who took great care of us too. The ambiance is elevated casual. They have indoor and outdoor seating (small covered patio). Truva has a dedicated parking lot that it shares with other businesses in the same building. Parking is paid during certain days/hours. Follow the instructions on the signs. When in doubt, just park, go inside, and ask if parking is paid at the time of your visit. During our Sunday afternoon visit, it was free.

Excellent option for Mediterranean and Turkish food. Great service with time and attention to the guest needs. When it comes to design and architecture things could be modernized and get a more authentic look adding to the ambiance.

Upscale casual ambiance at this cute restaurant in N. Highland! They have a covered patio that is really nice but we opted to sit inside. The menu contains your usual Mediterranean/Turkish cuisines with lots of fish, lamb, and veggies. I opted to get the Adana kebab that came with rice and a side of arugula salad. The kebab was well seasoned and paired greatly with the rice. The rice was soooooo good. I love a good seasoned rice pilaf! Service was nice and our waiter was super friendly. The food did take a bit to come out but everything tasted really good when we got it so no complaints!

There was indoor and outdoor seating and we chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful night. We had amazing service, great food, in a really cute neighborhood. We were especially impressed with the staff, and we had a member come out more than once to check with one of the people dining with us who had food allergies to ensure that how they were offering the food would be safe for her. It was also impressive that this restaurant was so busy on a Monday night. There were three of us dining, and we didn't even order any of the meats, and there was plenty of food for us. From the Mazzes, we had the Omani Shrimp, which had a great dipping sauce and the Beet Carpaccio. (they were very accommodating and put the whipped feta on the side). For the Spreads, we did the hummus with mushroom, shisito and egg, which was amazing and the labneh with pickled fennel on the top. It's served with taftoun bread which I would describe as a mix of a cracker and pita with sesame on top. We also enjoyed a raw vegetable dish with radish and the most delicious apple slices. Their heirloom tomato salad was beautifully presented and plentiful. They had a flight of condiments and we were able to sample zhoug, spicy tahina and torshi, which was a mixture of pickled vegetables. We ended with a pistachio lava cake with the most delicious cardamon gelato. Overall, we had an amazing meal in their beautiful outdoor space, and we thought the food was really reasonably priced. There's something for everyone on this menu whether you're vegetarian, vegan or a meat eater.

We were greeted by smiles and a welcoming team at the host table and I quickly appreciated the Mediterranean charm of the restaurant -- I felt like I could have been in Rick's Cafe Americain or the Blue Parrot! The dim lighting offered a great blend of intimacy and privacy, while still letting me see the people at my table and the food! And the food! My goodness, the food! We had a wonderful sampling of shared appetizers. The hummus and Dill labneh were solid and would have been deemed more than worthy by my Lebanese grandmother! Olives were a revelation, and were done in a preparation that included pomegranate which paired really well with the brine of the olives! The star of the first round, however, was the whole cauliflower, roasted and spiced. Without reservation, I can say it is the most I have ever enjoyed cauliflower - and I shall return for it again! I was already full by the time my falafel arrived for my main course. Falafel was exactly as it was supposed to be, and it was good. I ate it all, and then, a la Violet Beauregard upon leaving the chocolate factory, had to be rolled out of the restaurant! Our server and his food runners were all gems! The manager also came by to chat with us a couple of times. Great people at Delbar!
