Had never been before but it had great Yelp reviews. A friend was in town and wanted Mediterranean food. I wouldn't say this is a traditional med/greek menu - in fact only a few dishes that would be on other Mediterranean menus. We got there and it was fairly empty. You are forced to valet and pay $5 for it. It's one reason it wasn't five stars. The other is that they serve Hookah all over the restaurant rather than just in one spot - so if the smells and smoke bother you, I'd avoid this restaurant. The portions are large - so don't over order! The hummus was very tasty. My lavraki dish was missing elevated taste. We didn't order any food when we went here, so this review is strictly about the service. It was absolutely terrible, I mean really bad. Our server barely smiled, and took forever to check on us. I really wish I could remember her name (it started with an M and had more than one s in the middle). She disappeared constantly, and when she did walk by, she wouldn't even see if we needed anything. After giving us the check, I had to get up to look for her to give her our card. One of the other staff members saw me looking so they got her attention. Not surprised, young miss was around the corner talking with her coworkers. Not too many street parking available so valet would be the best option. As soon as you walk in the bar is only like 2 feet away but the place is actually very spacious. There is a inside part of the restaurant and and outside covered area with TVs and a DJ. The drinks are good but not really strong at all and the food I would have to say is some of the best I've ever had. The hookah was decent but pricey. I ordered a plate that consisted of what I think was basmati rice, shrimp, and salad. The rice was so salty, the shrimp didn't not seem fresh & was rubbery. The salad was the best thing on the plate. I expressed how I wasn't happy with my meal, the waitress gladly took my plate back. She just wanted to know the issues so that I could communicate them to the manager. I ended up ordering another salad just because, seems like it was supposed to be cold. Was kind of warm, but tasted okay. Outside of the waitress handling that issue she wasn't very attentive. The hubs and I went here for our dinner date. The place had a nice layout with an extended interior out of the patio. He had the eggplant kebab while I had the beyti. With a white tablecloth place, you won't find wraps or platters customary of Mediterranean spots. The dishes were a little more unique. The complimentary bread was warm and fluffy with a dipping sauce of diced sundried tomatoes which made it stand out. The few pieces of olives and cheeses were nice pairings before the main courses. His dish had eggplant which primarily differed from mine. The seasoned ground lamb and beef came in a long strip that looked similar to my dish. The meat portion was rather hearty and filling. The baldo rice (or bulgur pilav) reminded me of something from a Latino restaurant which was semi-soggy and had a slight hint of flavor. The raw red onions really enhanced the meat and brought out additional flavors. The roasted tomato and green pepper along with the eggplant balanced out the meat. My choice of the beyti came with the ground lamb and beef wrapped in a thin tortilla-like casing. The pieces were segmented into little squares which made sharing much easier. The cream on the side made the meat tastier. The bulgur pilav, or rather the baldo rice as they didn't bother making what was on the menu, was identical to the hubs so there's no point in rehashing the details. The red onions, roasted tomato, and green pepper were also present on my entree. One thing I noticed afterward was how our dishes were pretty similar. The cook didn't bother changing the rice as the two dishes offered something different. Yeah. I noticed Mandolin Kitchen. The wife and I came here on a dinner date. It was around 5 pm on a weekend and it was not that busy. I usually associate Meditarrean food as pretty cheap and don't expect to spend more than ~$15. Expect to spend more than that. The complimentary bread was warm and fluffy that included olive oil and sundried tomatoes. It also included a few pieces of olives and cheese. I guess this justifies the price increase from my local Mediterranean Grill across the street from my house. The eggplant kebab came with a long thick piece of ground lamb and beef. It was hearty, filling and a little bit larger than what I remember at my local Mediterranean restaurant. I enjoyed the eggplant but the rice that came with it was a little mushy. My wife's beyti's ground lamb and beef were wrapped in a thin roti-like casing and cut into pieces. The flavoring of both meat entrees was exactly the same but the casing added extra depth. What kind of disappointed my wife is that her dish said it was a different type of rice then mine but our dishes had the exact same rice. I didn't notice. See whenever we go out to eat, we try to order different things so we can try two different meals. We share everything and I end up eating her leftovers. This is the whole point of getting married.
