He's helped me with my appliances at my house and my mom's over the past few years, and we've been very happy with his service. They try really hard to be accommodating, and I've appreciated that. Usually when an appliance goes out, there's a slight panic, because food is going bad, you can't cook, etc. I've attached a picture of my latest oven igniter that he replaced. Yay! Tim is also great about explaining what the problem is and what the possible solutions are. I've definitely learned a few things from him. I highly recommend T&P!

Our new house came replete with issues, one of which was a new-ish refrigerator that had been…read moreseverely neglected by the previous owner. The ice maker had been crudely removed from the unit which had caused the control panel to malfunction. The fridge constantly ran too cold as a result and we would get ice throughout the unit. John came out to our house next day to diagnose the problem, and help us price new parts for the fridge. He was nice enough to reset the control panel free of charge and ordered a new ice maker. John's price was more than reasonable and he was patient with us as we had to wait a pay cycle to take care of this unexpected expense. He made himself available on the weekend to come out and do the ice maker repair. It is so nice to do business with a local professional who obviously takes pride in his work. John provided top notch service while being personable, knowledgable and getting bonus points for being really friendly to our pets. We now have an ice maker that works, a control panel that we can set to our preference and a refrigerator that doesn't freeze and thaw at random. While I hope we don't need John's services anytime soon, I'm glad to know we have a go-to repairman that can fix all manner of appliances in the kitchen and laundry room. I could not recommend John enough for fair and honest work!

We have had a HORRIBLE experience with John's appliance and repair…read more We had a new washer delivered, and the rental management company that takes care of our rental property hired John's appliance to move the new unit up the stairs, replace the old washing machine unit with the new one, and repair the belt of our dryer, and to replace the broken water collection tray under the units. The first time they came out, Alex and another young man spilled stagnate water all over the carpet on my stairs and living room floor without offering to clean it up. The house smelt like sewage for the rest of the day. They needed a part for the dryer, so they were unable to fix it at that time. However, the next day when trying to run a load, we discovered the new washing machine shook and danced around the laundry room with the dryer on top of it. The dryer almost fell on my daughter, who tried to stop it and would have if she hadn't screamed, causing me to run up the stairs just in time. The SECOND they came back out, Alex replaced the belt on the dryer and "leveled" the Washer. Alex was rushing to leave, but I asked him to stay for a load to see if it worked. I made the mistake of not putting any clothing in for the test, and it looked okay; I told him it might run differently with the weight of a load in it, but he was in such a hurry that I let him go. When we tried to run an actual load, it danced and tried to shake off the washer again. Again we told the management company, and this time we immediately texted Alex too. He asked me to take a picture of the back, but I couldn't at the moment, and then he ghosted me (like in other reviews) for multiple days. After the management company contacted John, they were promised to send someone out either that night or the following day to fix the issue. That Monday, Alex said he would come by the next day and get it fixed. He said he "forgot to take the shipping screws out" On Wednesday, after several attempts by myself and the management company, we finally got ahold of them, and Alex said he would come by. When he arrived the THIRD time, Alex still did not have the replacement tray and gave me attitude when I questioned him about it. After about five minutes of working on the washing machine, he was leaving and about to head out the door when I asked him... "Hey, can you please stay until I run a load, so we can ensure it runs properly like you had agreed to with the management company?" That set him off, and he raised his voice and said, "Why are you acting like I didn't stay the last time?" "You did stay the last time, but the management company already talked to you guys about staying this time, so we can make sure it is working." He rolled his eyes, and we went back up the stairs. I said, "I'm sorry; I'm a little frustrated because you have been telling me every day this week that you were going to show up and then ghosted me when it came time to do the job." "I never said I was going to come to fix this." He replied "Would you like me to show you the text messages you sent me?" I asked "YOu know what Im out of here!" He yelled and left. I called the management company and told them what had happened. They called John's appliance.... It turns out that he did get the washer working, but he did not connect the dryer exhaust to the hose, so the hot air gets put outside. The management company says he will come back. He comes back, but he does not say a word to me. I direct him to the problem. After about ten minutes, he starts to leave again. "Are you finished?' I ask "Yeah," he says as he exits the door. I decided to check his work. The picture below is what he left us with. While I'm taking the picture, my wife went out to stop him. I don't know exactly what was said, but he said that's the best job he can do and called my wife crazy. KEEP IN MIND The picture included with this review is the "BEST" they can do. I am completely appalled by our experience.

I am updating this review. When I came on Yelp and left a review, William the owner, sent me a…read moremessage that I shouldn't have taken the discount claiming I have "taken money and left him a bad review." Let me be VERY clear about he operates. He does not tell you before coming out that he is going to offer you two separate prices. He tells you that it is a $99 fee for him to come out, but if you use his services he applies that to the payment. So once he is there, you are obligated to $99. This is a pretty typical arrangement for appliance repair/maintenance. That was not an issue. Once he arrived and looked at the issue, THAT is when he says, okay this is how much it is. BUT if you leave me a 5 star review I will give it to you for THIS amount. I have shared screenshots of the interactions. Now ALSO I want to be clear that when I agreed to leave a 5 star review, he sent me a link to review him on Google. And I DID leave him a 5 star review there, which I still have not edited at this time. So I 100% did what he directed me to do. How fair is it though that you are roped into a 5 star review for a discount, even if you feel the experience was not worth 5 stars. Who is going to say, well okay, let me just pay you more so I am free to leave an honest review of your service. That is ridiculous. And he mentions something about waiving taxes. If he did that, it was on his own accord. All I said was that if he took $50 off it would not be the quoted amount because the invoice he originally sent was more than $50 over what he said it would be if I left a 5 star review. Reviews are NOT an advertisement. Reviews should be UNBIASED reflections of customers' experiences. And to box customers into 5 star reviews by charging more if they don't leave you 5 stars is VERY dishonest. Customers often rely on reviews when deciding where to do business and spend their money. If I had known this about this company, I would absolutely not have done business with them. So I am sharing this on YELP, because I kept my commitment and left a 5 star Google Review) so that others are able to avoid this experience as well. Oh, and guess what - he was out in March, we are now about 3 months out and my dryer has stopped heating AGAIN because he never actually fixed it properly to begin with. We will of course reach out to another company for service - one that does not pay for their reviews (because let's be honest, that is what he is doing).
