We had Frank out today to fix our dryer and dishwasher. He asked me to explain the problems prior to visiting us. He also had me send him a pic of the serial number. Then he showed up early to the appointment with the appropriate parts needed to make the repairs. He completely cleaned the dryer and repaired it in short order. Then moved on to the dishwasher and repaired that too. It is nice to have a repair person return your call, make an appointment and show up on time and complete the repair. We will use Frank for our future appliance repairs. read more

Came by, charged a "service fee" to look a the hose and then left saying I would get an estimate and time to fix it in a few hours. They have now ben unreachable for over 24 hours. Do not use, do not pay them anything until they fix it. Better yet, do not use them read more

Frank's appliance is the only company I will use. I have used him several times over the years. He spends the time with you to help you try to figure it out first if you like. Comparatively the price is always reasonable. Make Frank's your number one in appliance repair. read more

I've learned that the world of appliance repair is a small and specialized niche - - especially when it comes to refrigeration and washing machines. One weekend my refrigerator decided it was time to stop refrigerating and the freezer stopped freezing. In the end Frank came through and really saved the day, and saved me from wasting money on a brand new refrigerator. After my mild panic attack (I frantically started eating all the ice cream and frozen popsicles), my initial thoughts were to either start packing the food in coolers w/ ice, and/or get ready plop down $1,000+ on a new refrigerator (ugh!). Since this model (Frigidaire) seemed relatively new, I instead started searching the yellow book and internet for repair technicians. I found out quickly that weekend repairmen are practically non-existent, however, I came across Frank's website and called and left a message on his answering machine. Much to my surprise he returned my call within the hour and said he'd be right over. Frank arrived and immediately started troubleshooting the issue. In the end he determined that the root cause was a broken timer and thermostat sensor which caused the freezer to work overtime and resulted in an ice build-up. The ice prohibited the heating element from doing it's job (melting the ice) which eventually led tothe refrigerator shutting down completely. Frank was great at explaining the issue and his thorough service and quality workmanship was outstanding to say the least. He replaced the 2 parts and also cleaned out the filter (for regular maintenance) since it was dirty (I had no clue?), so the final bill for parts and labor was about $150. I was so relieved to have saved hundreds of dollars by not buying a new fridge, but instead repairing a perfectly good one. Frank said there was plenty of life left in the current model, which he estimated was about 7yrs old. I was so delighted w/ Frank's patient and due diligence, he takes his time to ensure that the problem is resolved and is very well versed in the specialized world of refrigeration. He is very open and honest with his communication as well. I highly recommend his services if you're in need of refrigeration or washing machine repair service and looking to get the most out of your appliance. My refrigerator has been in perfect working condition ever since - thanks to Frank! You'll be happy to know he offers 24hr service w/in a 50 mile radius (of Georgetown) just in case! read more

Waited close to two weeks, no contact about my tv that I am being told they are waiting for parts and that they will get back with me. The mailbox to call them is full and now I am concerned they are just yanking my chain and something is wrong with my tv and they no longer want to return it. Any time i call they say "call us back in an hour" but then they do not answer when I call back. All I want is an ETA Since I am moving out of state very soon and scared to leave my tv in Texas. I will edit this review when/if I ever see that tv again. The man that picked up my tv was very friendly though... so I guess that's... something? read more

Purchase a protection plan from Home Depot. They assigned Franks Appliance Repair to my claim. He was supposed to come out and see what was wrong with my dryer. I talked to him over the phone and he said he is just going to order parts. I asked him, don't you want to see it first? He said no and as soon as he gets the parts he will call back with a time to repair. 2 weeks and half, no response . I called Home Depot to figure out what's going on because Franks Appliance Repair voicemail is full. They confirmed the appointment for the next Friday. This is now on week 3 with no dryer. He shows up without the parts. He thought it was delivered to my residence. He tells me that he will have to comeback that following Monday and he can't waste time to go back to his office. Then he says that I will be his first appointment at 9am. Frank Appliance Repair did a no show and didn't call. I called him and asked when is he going to come. He stubbled his words and said his excuse with some portal and he can't find the parts. His excuse of why didn't call me and let me know that he is not coming is, "I don't have your number". This company is unorganized, terrible customer service and argues with customers. If I could rate this company lower I would. Customers beware. read more

I called about a refrigerator issue and Frank talked me through things and had me try some steps at home before having him come out and it seems to have worked. I appreciate him spending that time and saving me the cost of a visit. I will definitely recommend him and be returning for future needs, great customer service! read more

I cannot recommend Frank highly enough! Frank not only fixed our dryer, but took the time to show me exactly what went wrong, how the machine is assembled (and disassembled), and what I could do to prevent this problem again in the future. Without me even asking, Frank also pointed out other maintenance tips that I could do myself to prevent having to make service calls in the future! Frank was very professional, very affordable, friendly, and the service was simply top-notch. I will certainly be reaching out to him again for any problem I encounter with appliances! HIGHLY recommend! read more

Frank listened to my issue, showed up on time with the proper parts and fixed my appliance at a fair price.

Frank was wonderful to work with! Very knowledgeable about our old refrigerator and offered us a lot of tips how to keep it going for years to come! he ordered the parts and installed them a day later! Very professional! Thanks Frank!!! read more

I am new to Georgetown and found Frank on Yelp. He was right on time, fixed my dryer and explained the issue. He then referred me to my step in the repair process. I found this guy on line about 5 years ago. He helped me with my oven, my washer and dryer. The amount of thoroughness he puts into making the repair right is amazing. Because of Frank's help with preventive maintenance both my washer and dryer are going strong after 13 years. If I could give this guy 10 stars I would. Honest, professional and simply does a damn good job! read more

Frank knows his stuff after 25years in the business. My 10yr old washer stopped draining and Frank was able to replace the water pump the day I called. He keeps all basic parts in his truck. With two weeks of vacation laundry piled up, Frank was a Godsend! And we're so glad the washer could be repaired much cheaper than replacing it. read more

Called Frank on Monday cause our clothes dryer quit drying. Answered himself, asked a few questions and had us scheduled for the next day. Showed up on time, spent about 4 hours going above and beyond the repair by cleaning all sorts of stuff inside the unit. Price was reasonable. Highly recommended for your appliance repair. read more

I called Frank when the burners on our Kitchenaid Cooktop wouldn't heat and the Power LED light wasn't lighting up. Fortunately Frank was able to come out the following morning and make the repair which was much easier and less expensive than we anticipated. He's very knowledgeable about appliances and the industry and shares that info with customers, which I appreciate. He was courteous, friendly and fair. We'll definitely call him again but hopefully we won't need to for awhile. :-) read more

I called Frank when my 6 year old GE refrigerator unexpectedly "gave up the ghost". Frank started out asking about the symptoms of the death rather than getting my address and setting up an appointment. After about 10 minutes of this, Frank asked me if I was going to do the repair myself??? He explained the process and gave me a website where I could get the part and watch a short video of the entire process. I followed through ordering the part with overnight delivery. Fifteen minutes later I had replaced the main board saving myself much more than $100. What a great guy. Never met him and he spent more than a half our just helping. I couldn't be more impressed. read more

Called Frank today regarding my washing machine, very honest guy. he spend good amount time to talk to me about the issue even I know might not worth to fix it. Thank you Frank for your professional suggestions. read more

We've been having issues with our refrigerator keeping proper temps. Frank has consulted with us twice. After hearing the symptoms, he both times sent us back to the manufacturer for warranty work. He was very up front that he would need to charge us and we should pursue the warranty work first. We truly appreciated this! read more

Frank was very easy to work with and fixed my washing machine in no time ;-). His daughter came with him and she was very nice as well. I highly recommend his service and will call him again if anything else breaks! read more

Would love to give Frank a great review. But would love to have Frank provide service. Doesn't return any messages.

Contacted the wrong Frank's appliance by mistake and what a wonderful surprise. Frank called me that night and talked me through an oven repair so that I could do it myself, even though I was 2000 miles outside his service range! He is awesome. You guys in TX are lucky to have him! read more

I called Frank because my microwave broke and I found his name on yelp. I described the problem with my microwave and he explained to me in depth what he thought it might be and that with the age of the appliance, why it might not be worth the cost of fixing it vs. purchasing a new one. He was concerned that I might put a good deal of money into the repair and he wasn't sure how much longer it would last. I had a feeling that this might be the case, so I decided not to go ahead with the repair. Then, I asked him a question about a problem I was having with my refrigerator. Again, he was a knowledgeable diagnostician, understanding the problem, as well as issues with the particular make/model, and gave me good advice about my appliance. I appreciate his honestly and candid advice, which saved me time and money (even if it cost him a job.) I will definitely call him for any future appliance repair needs. read more

Frank does a wonderful job. He is very meticulous and takes pride in his work. We had a dryer that as not heating and I called Frank and he went over the possible problems over the phone and scheduled a time to come look at it. He showed up on time and got right to work. It turned out to be exactly what Frank had suspected. He got us back in business in a couple hours and was very reasonable. A very nice guy to deal with. We will definitely call Frank for all our future needs. read more

Horrible customer service, Frank scheduled a appointment and had me take off from work and then didn't show up and did his best to avoid even looking at my appliance. He is not professional at all and made up excuses to not come. I would not recommend this company to anyone. And to make things worst he tries to make it as if the customers frustration with his unprofessional ways is the reason why he claims after the fact that he refuses services. Hes phony!! read more

Frank is as good as it gets!! Went to bed the other night only to wake up to water all over my kitchen floor in the morning.. Wouldn't you know that my freezer had gone out. The crazy thing is we have a 2 yr plan to buy a new fridge but were not ready to buy one now... I am a handy man myself but not fridges so I did my research to troubleshoot and 3 potential issues: start relay was out, mother board issues or compressor.. After pulling the back off the fridge exposing the compressor I could not find the start relay even from the diagrams on the web.. I looked up fridge repairs in round rock and Frank came up with 1 excellent review. I called and what do you know he picked right up which was amazing to me,, I told him my situation not being able to find the start relay but was hoping to fix on my own.. To my surprise he offered help via phone to locate the start relay and a special trick to get the cover off the relay and did not charge me and said if I couldn't fix it that he would come down. 10 min later after getting to the relay and testing it per my research it did not seem to be the issue which was the cheapest thing to fix so I Called frank back and he said he would be down in an hour. He arrived within time committed too and he even took off his shoes per my request (not everyone has done th is) He tested the circuits and wires and found out it was a prob with the motherboard. He said that GE would typically make you buy a new mother board but he typically can fix so pulled it off, and found out the circuit just needed to be resoldered. Broke out his tools and told me instead of just resoldering if he added a stronger connection point it would last longer seeing GE's mother boards are not made to handle the voltage for years and years making the typical person to buy a new fridge. He repaired and replaced the motherboard and walla it was fixed. He also gave me tips that would help extend the life of my fridge and finally gave me advice on what fridges are best to buy per his years of maintenance. Frank also liked that I was paying in cash and gave me a slight discount but I gave him more b/c the typical maintenance man or GE repair would have cost me lots more. I HiGHLY recommend frank repair service for any appliance you are trying to stretch out the life of. The cost/benefit was huge and now he will be my first call for anything!!! Thanks Frank! You were what I would call a true service professional that is about customer service and satisfaction!! read more

Whenever it comes to repairs of any sort, I am immediately mistrustful, as are a lot of people. However, Frank is someone I trust completely. My last repair involved my dryer. He was very thorough and affordable. I felt like he really wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my money. He also took time to answer my question about another appliance. Recently my HE washer started leaking and he took lots of time trouble shooting with me. I think a lot of repairmen would charge me a lot to do something I could fix on my own. His name is on his business and I think it makes a difference. It is nice not going through a big company and never knowing who they will send. It is like calling a very knowledgeable, trustworthy, and reliable friend! read more

I can't say enough about Frank. Our 13 yr old Maytag Fridge was leaking water. I didn't know who to call so checked out reviews on line. I choose Frank because of everyone's praise. This is an honest, hard working man. He asked what our problem was - had us check several areas, and then came over. Lucky for us, it was just a brittle water line that was leaking from the connection to the wall. It only involved getting a new line which he had handy on his truck. I had called him around noon and he was here around 2:30. I had told him he could wait for the next day, but he said, "oh no, I'll be out after my next call". Wow, now that's service. His fees are VERY reasonable. He is a very personable. honest, down-home guy and we feel so fortunate to have found him. We were worried that we would have to replace the fridge. THANK YOU, FRANK! read more

I was about to schedule service with either of the two companies that the Whirlpool website contracts with in Cedar Park. But before I did I checked the Yelp reviews for both and they were not good. Frank's had a 5 Star review so I called. After talking with Frank and discussing the caked on lime deposits inside my dishwasher, he convinced me that I didn't need his service but needed a new dishwasher and a water softener. I really appreciated Frank's honest advice when it didn't serve him. I will call him again if I need appliance repair. read more

I called Frank re a clogged Washer. He was great on the phone-talked in detail about what could be wrong and what each would. I called several others and all they wanted to get me to do a service call. Frank came the next day. Very pleasant and and businesslike. Been doing this 15-20+ years recall? Anyway he fixed it and was right on his estimate. Very reasonable for the time it took. He gave me several tips about how I should treat the machine in the future. Also he gave me his opinion on what brands to buy for major appliances. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED--and you always get Frank the owner--no rookies. I love to know who I am dealing with. all I have to say is FRANK YOU BROKE MY DRYER EVEN MORE AND YOU WONT ANSWER THE PHONE AFTER YOUR EXCUSES THAT YOUR SON BROKE HIS TOOTH OR WHATEVER HAPPEND .. I'm a mom of two I have been without a dryer for almost two weeks now and because you made the situation worse I am now having to wait a lot longer to be able to dry anything !!!!! How rude and looks like you did the same to someone else I read the reviews .. you didn't even want to come out to look at my dryer after me telling you all that didn't work was the heating element and you come after 1 whole week and replace whatever the motor in less then 15 minutes and speed off as fast as you can ! read more

I called Frank around 10 am and he was at my house a little after 1pm to check out my broken dryer. It turned out my dryer was completely fine but my electrical socket that the dryer was plugged into had burnt out and was a fire hazard. Oh, did I mention he came out the Friday right before 4th of July? Super thankful for his timeliness and efficiency! read more

Frank has been here twice in three years..and both times he fixed both washer and dryer. He cleans them up and makes sure they are both working in tip top shape. I called Frank because our Kenmore washer wouldn't drain and the earliest Sears could come out was six days later. I explained the problem to Frank and he told me what the problem probably was and how I could try to clean out the filter myself to see if that would solve it. I also found a U-tube video on the subject and was able to remove the front panel to gain access to the filter (not even mentioned in the manual). It was full of lint, trash and coins as it had never been cleaned in 8 years. After cleaning it out and reassembling, the washer works fine. It restores your faith in human nature to find a repairman who is honest and cares more about the customer than just making money from them. I will definitely call Frank in the future for any of our appliance repair needs. read more
