Im pretty inexperienced with cars but i was having overheating issues far from home and i needed some help diagnosing the issue. Mikey here offered to help me as i was on a time crunch. They were busy but he ran a quick inspection over my vehicle and checked for leaks, noticed i was low on coolant and helped me achieve proper levels, and even showed me how and what i should look out for with my radiator cap and levels. He even had me drive around for 20 minutes to inspect if i had any major leaks using a uv liquid . I felt safe after knowing what he had helped me find out. I tried to give him some cash slyly, as a tip for his help. But he refused to accept it. Some shops could have charged a $150 diagnostic fee or something, but not, a penny was asked for. Hes a stand up dude, and a great shop. I might not have had a major issue but how they handle themselves with integrity is top notch. Id highly recommend a shop like this with these people read more

We ended up here after getting a quote from a large chain company who told us that our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with only 80,000 miles had a blown head gasket and needed a new engine. We were told that, AT MINIMUM, it would cost us $15,000 to get the Jeep in working order and we'd likely need additional repairs beyond that. Thank GOD we were referred to TrueTech for a second opinion. They were knowledgeable and thorough, and just as important, honest and fair. Went to true tech today for an AC repair. They had put a new AC system in this car years back when it completely imploded. The repair then was quick and has worked great since until about a week ago. I took it back in because I trust their work and they put in a o-ring that had gone bad and put a kit in it and told me it was fixed under warranty. When driving to a different quick change oil change place, I noticed this place. I drove to the other place, noticed how many cars were in line, and drove over here. They got me in immediately, and quoted me around $80 for synthetic. Usually the other oil change place ends up being more than that, even after a $25 coupon. I was happy with the service! Very nice employees and my at was returned in great shape (I've had problems before). I sat in the seating area and caught up on work, but there are a few places in walking distance if you don't have anything to do. Definitely would recommend this place and will be returning for my next oil change! read more

I know very little about cars, so it's easy for mechanics to take advantage of me. I've brought my vehicles to TrueTech a number of times and have treated very well. A story from yesterday: I took our 2006 Honda Odyssey in because there was shaking when we braked and it was due for a transmission fluid change. They looked at the shaking and determined the rotors were warped but the brakes themselves were in good shape. They recommended I not worry about replacing the rotors until the brakes were ready for replacement, and said it wasn't a safety issue. They checked the transmission fluid and agreed it was old, but said that replacing it right now could cause the transmission to completely fail. They referred me to another shop that specializes in transmissions and that shop completely agreed with their assessment. True Tech could easily have talked me into replacing the rotors and have done the fluid change and I wouldn't have objected, even though the bill might have been $500-$1000. In the end, that would have been a big disservice to me, but I wouldn't have known until it was too late. They charged me nothing for the diagnosis. Afterwards, even though it was after hours, I was talking with Mikie about my old Volvo and he checked the code the car was showing me and then referred me to a business that specializes in Volvos. I think True Tech may cost a little more than some other places, but it's worth it to me to be able to trust them. Also, if I ask why something costs more with them than elsewhere, they're always able to provide a reasonable explanation. read more

The main thing I want in a mechanic is honesty and these guys sure are honest. Also, they were respectful, friendly, and knowledgable. Turns out, what I thought was going to be a major repair was no repair at all and these guys diagnosed it for me in ten minutes. They could have claimed it was a major repair and charged me a fortune and I wouldn't have known the difference. Then they charged me zero for the minor repair they did. WOW! After contacting the dealership about replacing my headlamps on my 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid on what it would cost, I called TruTech Automotive about a quote. I was asked to bring my car and discuss the options available. I learned to access the lights/lamps requires removing a plate under the vehicle to reach them and I believe they said they were projection lamps. With this knowledge I understood why the labor cost was high, but still a lot lower than the dealership quote. I decided to wait until later to have it done. Today I stopped by as I couldn't install my new wiper blades alone and the gentleman at the counter offered to do it for me. After he finished he smiled and said "Have a good day." This is by far the BEST automotive shop, and I would hands down recommend them to EVERYONE! Drove 17 hours from Vegas only to find my check engine light blinking as I rolled into my sister's neighborhood. I got a reference from another automotive company my family has used for decades because they were booked up. My car was towed to the shop where they worked tirelessly on it for 2.5 days. They took their time not to throw me back on the road with my 4 kids and send me on my way without making sure I would make it home. I am happy to say we are home safe and sound.
