I tell him I was told over the phone that it would be $35, and the guy says "nothing I can do about taxes". HUH??? What kind of tax is that?? That's like almost a 40 percent "tax". I probably wouldn't have even left a review if not for that. I am simply baffled. Even if I misheard it and it was stated to me as $39 or something, that's still a wild amount for a tax. If someone can point me to whatever legal codes they're apparently referencing, I would love to see them.

We felt we were getting the straight information with no embellishment, and two have warning on other things we were going to need to work on. It was great to not be pressured to be told we needed immediate and expensive repairs. We have had this experience at other mechanic shops. We had a very favorable experience and ended up spending right around $3000 for the repair. But it was well worth it some thing our Mechanic son wasn't willing to take on.
