Excellent service. Took my Yukon in for a 2nd opinion after AAMCO said I needed a new transmission and quoted me $10,100. I just wanted to see if Bill's could do it for cheaper. Not only was it cheaper, but Bill explained that my transmission was fine. There were no issues with it. My engine mount was cracked and my U-Joints were destroyed. So, instead of $10,100 for a tranny, I paid $1,500 for a new engine mount, U-joints and a transmission flush. Very honest guys and I couldn't be happier. read more

This week I took my van into Bill's. The van has been shaking when trying to accelerate up to freeway speed. Just not a smooth ride. I was holding off since I knew it was probably going to be costly but it got worse. Luckily not transmission since that could be several grand. Ended up being the axel shafts that needed replaced and the transmission,engine were getting moved side to side when accelerating. Quite possibly the best kept secret in Vancouver for transmission repair! I don't normally take vehicles to repair shops, so even trusting a repair facility is hard for me. I had an issue with my Ram 1500 slipping gears and didn't have time to mess with it myself so was forced to find a place to take it. I called around and spoke to several people, explaining my situation and asking for the "worst case" cost of a complete rebuild. Bill stood out from the crowd as not only was he willing to hear what I was saying and offer his advice, but he was able to tell me the "worst case" cost I asked for, and went into some technical explaination of what he's seen before and what he though it probably was. This is all without having yet even seen it! Suffice it to say, my search ended there and I took my truck straight to Bill. He was able look at my truck the following day, do a road test and use computer data to backup his thoughs, and produce a much less costly repair quote based on his findings. Acouple days later the repairs were complete, he called me back just as had been promised for me to come get it. When I got there he explained what he ultimately found, showed me the parts he replaced and explained some of the other things he checked while in there "just to be sure". I don't trust most repair shops, but Bills Tech-trans is one I do for sure. I'll be sure to visit Bill again with my future needs. I towed my SUV. To bill's he elvauated the problem, phoned me. Guaranteed it was the valbody. I approved repair. Paid the cost. 3/36/19-4/04 I had it and returned it for same problems a s before a day later. Now I'm informed it needs a transmission, not val body.and would be more than quoted from four seasons. He stared 4/16/that he eat the cost and help me. Now vechile not repaired, has to be towed back to start over.ive list 2-1/2 weeks income dealing with this business. I'm not sure how I found out about this place, but I am glad that I did. My truck was having a few issues and they all seemed to be from the transmission. The truck has about 120k miles on it, so I wanted to have it cleaned and the fluid flushed. Bill and Kelly took very good care of my truck and so far, it drives great! I wish I could give Bill more than 5 Stars. The transmission on my son's 2004 Ford Explorer finally gave out (we knew it was inevitable) on a Sunday afternoon in downtown Vancouver. Fortunately, we had AAA to come to tow the vehicle. The driver recommended towing it to a local shop and leaving it which is what we did. I looked up shops on Yelp and found Bill's Tech-Trans which has stellar reviews. Given it was Sunday, the shop was not open so we parked the Explorer outside the gate. When I called the shop Monday, Bill answered the phone, took a description of the symptoms, and said he would be on it. In less than a day he provided reasonable estimates with some options from used parts to a rebuild. With his rebuild, he offered a 3-year warranty and noted he could have the work done by the end of the week. I approved the rebuild and left the work to Bill. On Thursday morning, earlier than expected, he called to say the Explorer was ready to go and was running great. Since I was leaving town, I told him I would be in Monday to pick up the vehicle. When I arrived, it was stored in his shop, had been washed and dried, and was ready to go. Bill showed me the old parts and explained how they had failed. Bill and Kelly are great! My Jeep did some funky transmission stuff one day and they were quick to get me in. Honest work, done by very nice and educating people. Another perk- pricing that I was comfortable paying. They did diagnostics and dropped the pan for a full inspection for around $100. I was able to leave my Jeep with them before work and she was ready for me when I was off. I'm happy with that and happy that I have some peace of mind about what went wrong and what they did to fix it. I'd recommend them to anybody! read more

Went to this tranny shop because I ran into a guy at the grocery store who used to work with Bill when they were younger. They both have dodge diesels so I felt better taking mine to Bill. It's time for me to go back for an oil change and I appreciated his honesty that a real transmission oil change should have the pan dropped. Also my first trip to him revealed electrical and mechanical problems which cost more than the oil change but restored first gear in our automatic. The service date was about 2 years ago. read more
