I recently had to replace both my headlights on my 2002 Ford Mustang…read more After I was done, I noticed that they weren't focused in the proper direction so one day at work I decided to take the car to Total upgrade (across the street from my place of employment, O'Reilly Auto Parts). Chris said he would do it for me and he would drop the car off in the O'Reilly parking lot after he was done (which is exactly what he did). I walked over to him and asked him how much I owed & he said nothing! NADA, Zilch! Wow, he did the work (headlight alignment) for free!

Worst experience I've had in my entire life. We found this mechanic, based off good reviews and one…read moreof the lower prices we were quoted we thought it was a slam dunk. Came in for a new transmission, broken AC and a leaking tire. Was told it would be a week, which sounds good as that was every time line we were told from other places we called. A week goes by and the parts still weren't in, again I mean that's just shipping and it happens, can't really blame the shop. After a week and a half they install the new transmission, but said there was something wrong so they kept working on it. Another week goes by and they say they need to order ANOTHER trans. At this point we are very frustrated as we needed this vehicle back 3 weeks ago. But I mean who knows what is really going on so we just hang tight. Finally, a MONTH later, we get a text that the trans was replaced and good to go but they didn't have time to fully fix the ac. Didn't have time? You had it for a month and decided until the last day to look at the AC. They replaced the blower motor but said they would have to take the whole thing out and didn't have time for it, so it was ultimately a temporary fix for a full charge. After asking for a price break down he gave us $150 off. Woopie after a $7,500 ordeal that didn't feel sufficient. They then charged our card for the second half of our bill after we explicitly said "we do not authorize this charge" and we also don't remember saying they could save the card on file..... if that wasn't all enough to make us never come back we then find out the tire was never fixed after it went flat on the road a few days later. To which the guy says "looks like I forgot" !!! Now the AC stopped working because again it was never actually fixed in the first place. Truly unacceptable from start to finish. They clearly do not care about doing a good job and just want your money. He asked us multiple times to pay the remaining balance before we even picked up the vehicle or had any work done. Avoid at all costs.

When it dropped to 23, I asked the service person why. I was told that it depends on the driver. I am the only driver! I recently began taking it to Master Tech. They are friendly & professional. AND when I picked up my vehicle, lo & behold, the MPG is again at 27. Highly recommended!!

Repair: Differential Gear Shift Replacement Repair entails: disconnecting brake lines, reconnecting, and bleeding them Cost: $5,675.39 Summary: 3 repair visits and 24 hours out of state emergency brake failure repair Repair 1 p/u date April 14th - failed at 70 miles an hour in Oregon on my way to San Diego, Ca, by the time I got back to Vancouver, WA it was worse than when I first brought in for the repair. Repair 2 p/u date June 4th - failed at 25 miles almost immediately June 9th went into the shop One Last Chance and I Demanded Toyota OEM parts since I learned I paid too much for none OEM parts and they were trying to pressurize the pinion gear themselves, the reason for the immediate failures. Also, stated if this replacement failed, I'd expect all my money back. Repair 3 date July 9th - my brakes lost pressure in early Sunday morning of July 12th on my way to San Diego, Ca. failed in Bakersfield, California at about 8:30 am after driving all night. Paid $395.91 for a 24-hour emergency mechanic to bleed my brakes. Brake Failure Cause: bubbles / air in the rear brake line. Why didn't it fail sooner - low traffic cool night driving, used cruise and to keep myself alert slowing through curves by shutting off cruise and accelerated then restarted cruise while driving through the Oregon and California mountains. What happens when bubbles / air gets in the brake lines: brake fluid heats up and the air expands causing no pressure to your brakes and the pedal goes to the floor.
