We saw some cute things when we pea-ked in the window. Many street signs, also cookbooks, dresses, historical photographs, and a wagon wheel. It doesn't have as large of an inventory as many antique stores, with no attempt to appea-se the customer. But what is there has is good quality. Including a picture that now hangs on our wall. When you look out the window and see the Santa Fe caboose in the park across the street, that adds to the ambiance. Also, quiet pea-ano music in the background ("Hey, that's a Michael Card song!") that gives you a sense of peas - er, peace. But actually, the most memorable part of The Green Pea is the prevalence of signs that encourage you to enjoy the store. Usually with awful puns that use the word "pea". Hence, my usage of awful pea puns in this Yelp review. If ya don't like that, buddy, ya want a peas of me???

I bought 2 lavender plants there three weeks ago. I went to return it. She had me tapped the card, they couldn't find it. I even pulled up my credit card statement saying I had purchased it on 10/20/25 here at this location. They're like no, no. We can't find it. So then the lady did a search on my card with my ID and she said she can't find it. Then she tried to scan my plant and said it's not showing up. I'm telling her well what can we do about it because I did purchase it here and I have my credit card statement. She's telling me no no you didn't buy it here.. nothing is pulling up. I'm like is there anything else we can do because this is the plant that I bought from here and she was unhelpful no no. So I go to the Home Depot on carpenter and I use my card and they can't find it but the guy they said did you pay with your phone because it won't show the purchase on the card and I said yes. So I tapped with my phone I was able to return it. PSA when I did buy my two lavender plants, there was a big sign saying 20%. When I did purchase them, I was like oh it's 20% not included and the cashier at the garden center had a sneaky remark saying "I wish people would read the sign. You have to buy 29 or more to get the 20% off." And I looked at her and said the 29 and more font is size 12 while the 20% font a size 500 anyone could make that mistake.. Both times terrible customer service. Ugh

I walked right back in the store to exchange it for one that worked. The man pointed to a sign on the inside of the door that said "all sales are final." He refused to exchange the faulty item and essentially robbed me of $5.43. The sign is on the inside of the door as you walk out of the store. You see it AFTeR you have already paid for the item. When I pointed it out, He laughed at me and told me I was not allowed to take photos. Be careful buying ANYTHING from this store. I left the charger in the store and I am dispute the purchase.

Tried getting info from our local Home Depot, down the road but seems they just didnt have time to answer any of my questions, especially dealing with the Pro Service dept, so..... I actually found an HVAC company that was willing to help out with the install, they don't do window units but they know were in dire situation. I finally found the unit we want and unfortunately, Depot wouldn't have it in until July 9th, way too late!!!! I looked up Lowe's, here in Modesto, and they had a good replacement for the one we were looking for. Customer service was super friendly and very professional helping me out with the questions I had. We purchased the unit online last nite, this morning, it was ready for curbside pick up. They came in within 5 minutes, they loaded it into my truck and away we go!! A HUGE thank you to everyone that helped us out, it was GREATLY appreciated!!!! We will definitely be back, even though our local Home Depot is 2 miles away....customer service is a huge factor for me, people make mistakes but as long as you treat me right, I'll be back!!!
