We saw some cute things when we pea-ked in the window. Many street signs, also cookbooks, dresses, historical photographs, and a wagon wheel. It doesn't have as large of an inventory as many antique stores, with no attempt to appea-se the customer. But what is there has is good quality. Including a picture that now hangs on our wall. When you look out the window and see the Santa Fe caboose in the park across the street, that adds to the ambiance. Also, quiet pea-ano music in the background ("Hey, that's a Michael Card song!") that gives you a sense of peas - er, peace. But actually, the most memorable part of The Green Pea is the prevalence of signs that encourage you to enjoy the store. Usually with awful puns that use the word "pea". Hence, my usage of awful pea puns in this Yelp review. If ya don't like that, buddy, ya want a peas of me???

To this day it aches my heart to remember the impotence I felt standing there waiting after requesting I get my chainsaw back. After over a month of patiently waiting to get it maintained, I finally asked politely but firmly after being told it was not ready, that I needed my chainsaw as it had gotten no attention and I required it for some work. They did some communication behind closed doors in back area and gave me the run around only to get hit with a bill the equivalent of 3/4's of new saw like mine. I felt a hurt in my chest as I knew I could not do anything. I swore to never go back and I am only writing this review in hopes no one goes through something similar. If it wasn't because I have better things to do I'd boycott them each day outside with a sign in hand . I'm sure they have done good or ok business with others but that does not take away the sting from the fact that they chose to be so dirty and shady that one day with me. He happen to have a frame that match my size hanging on the wall. He said I cannot find a new one for you, but I can build you a nice bike and he did. Soon after I rode out on a beautifully rebuilt Pinarello road bike. All of his employees through the years have matched Brian's help and care. And now with this bike shop downtown, it is especially great during farmers markets. They have live music, a great assortment of beer, wine and coffee and even popcorn and avocado toast. Take care of Lodi Cyclery because they definitely takes care of us here in Lodi! ‍
