From start to finish this process was seamless. I worked with Brian Fisk who helped me design the perfect shed. Brian was patient and knowledgeable on their products and helped me get what I wanted while staying within my budget. When it came to scheduling my installation, I spoke with Brittany who was just awesome. Today was install day and Jr. and his partner notified me when they were on there way. They showed up on time and were very professional. It took them about 4 hours to complete my 8x10 shed despite off and on rain. When they finished, they cleaned up after themselves and thoroughly explained the build and my warranty. Overall this was a great experience!! Not sure if this is the right location since I ordered online. I worked with a gentleman named Steven Hunt. Steven was very helpful, very responsive and very knowledgeable. The installers just left and the shed looks great. Took about 3 hours from start to finish with a 2 man team. Felt bad for the installers as it is 90 out today and they were working in the direct sun If your looking for a shed make note the sheds at Home Depot or Lowe's do not include a floor or shingles. I read reviews on them and many complain about wood being to warped to complete. Tuff Shed being a complete package and professionally installed it is a great choice. Terrible service!! Very disappointed!! I had a shed installed June 21st 4 of the boards have mold!! The boards that were put in look like the last scraps of the pile. I contacted Tuff shed on June 24th and had an appointment scheduled for July 5th the guy came with no material to fix the boards mind you I had already sent them pictures so they could be prepared. The guy showed up empty handed didn't even know what he was there 2 do. No one in the office had communicated with him on what needed to be done do he would arrive prepared. He still did do some of the fixings that needed to be done. He told me he would be back in 2 days to replace 7 boards total. He never showed up! I called and spoke with a woman who said she would have someone call me about coming out ASAP the next day NO ONE CALLED! Today is the 3rd day and I DID NOT receive a call and when I called them Alyssa took my information and said she would be calling me back. 2 hours later NO ONE CALLED I called back she then started to tell me they would not be changing the boards out because on the contract it stated my shed would be built using some damaged boards and that the mold could be SCRUBBED OFF WITH BLEACH!! I purchased the shed as a working/storing shed. Who in the right mind tells their customer they can scrub it off with bleach?!!! This is extremely harmful and dangerous especially if it spreads!! I asked to speak to a manager who of course was not in so I was transferred to a production manager named CJ who also had no idea what I was talking about. He then said he would schedule me again "ASAP" but that's not until July 12!!!! I have I work that needs to be done and I have to keep rescheduling them because of the people down at TUFF SHED. This is not a cheap shed I have spent close to $5,000 to be told clean off harmful mold off MY SELF with bleach! I am very disappointed would not recommend!!! Poor job! If I could give no star I would. We purchased a 12x16 shed July 5th, 2022. We waited 4 months for engineering to send plans to permitting. Its December 5th and we still have no shed. Plans had to be sent back to engineering. Apparently they didn't do the research on the property. In 100 year flood zone. Customer service has been terrible. Little to no communication with us unless we reach out. Keep getting put off to a later date. Supposedly they are rushing to permitting now. I'll believe it when I see it. Had the county come out and do pre-inspection for footing to speed things up. We have other pressing projects that depend on the shed being installed. We had a large permitted in ground pool installed in within 2 months. Shouldn't a garden shed be easy comparatively Pool purchased after the shed. Will not do business with this company ever ever again and will be sure to tell others to do the same. Bought from Home Depot, will definitely complain to them. I hope we can trust the workmanship but, remains to be seen. Not happy if you can't tell. read more

Second review and opposite type of experience. A year ago I worked with Rob Rogers at Tuff Shed. My experience was excellent. Recently, I visited the Modesto location to purchase another shed. The man that was there was horrible to work with. He did not want to show me sheds outside. He kept pushing for a shed that I did not want. He gave me a quote but it was not for the shed I wanted. He did not know the product he was selling because I remembered details on the shed I last purchased and he gave me incorrect information. All of that being said, I could go to another Tuff Shed location and work with someone else, but I WILL NOT! The guy (Robert NOT Rob from a year ago) was a creep. He made me feel beyond uncomfortable. Not to mention the location was filthy. Beware if you have to use the restrooms, extremely dirty. Buyers beware! read more

We have two Tuff Sheds, both older than ten years. One shed door had a lot off dry rot and needed to be repaired. We called and spoke with Eric in Stockton. He came to the house looked over the shed and door. The door need to be "re-skinned" and Eric put it into his truck so he could take it back to the shop. He returned the next day with our door completely fixed. Including new hinges and door handle. It was perfect! But, the more than perfect part is that he would not charge us for anything....WOW!! Who does that these days?? Only a person and company with the highest of business and personal ethics....If you ever need a new shed, Tuff Shed Modesto / Stockton should be your only choice...!! read more

Beyond dissatisfied with their follow up service. Had a Tuff Shed installed in March 2020. Installation went beautifully, however, Tuff Shed provided the installers with the wrong touch up paint. For the past EIGHT MONTHS I have contacted Malia in customer service to arrange for someone to come out and finish the touch up. Each time I have been met with excuses and gotten the run around. She has told me that touch ups are low priority. EIGHT MONTHS LATER I have no date for anyone to come out and after my call today I'm told my paperwork has to be found in a stack on her desk. I am yet again to wait for a return call that never comes. Almost $4000.00 later I still have an unfinished shed. Great product but horrible follow up customer service. I guess once your Shed is installed and paid for you get put on the back burner and are simply out of luck. I held off on a bad review hoping they would come through on their service, unfortunately that has not happened. read more

This place is a joke!!! The salesman was nothing but a salesman trying to sell a product he didn't know much about. We asked him about Tuff Sheds at Home Depot he said they were junk, and we're not real Tuff Sheds. We went back to Home Depot and spoke to the Salesman there again, he told us all that was not true that the salesman at the Modesto location was lying just to make a sale. Home Depot also told us the materials the use are all the same lumber, hardware, shingles & same builders that they use in Modesto as they use at all the Home Depot locations. All the sheds are built at the factory located in Stockton. The only difference is it's much cheaper at Home Depot. The quote we got at Home Depot was about $1,200.00 less than the quote in Modesto. We ended up buying our shed through another competitor which was a better product for about the same price. This company needs better management & better sales training. read more

Went to the sales office and the salesman was terrific. He explained in detail the difference between buying A Tuff Shed through them versus Home Depot. I decided to go through them instead and he scheduled the installation at my request on a Saturday two weeks away. When they showed up, they decided they could not proceed without me having to provide more access for them because our house has close quarters with our neighbors. After I provided access, I called them back and they came back on a Thursday. Brandon and his crew went to work right away and installed it and built it very efficiently and very professionally and they were very friendly very nice and cleaned up pretty well. However, four stars because they put some paint on my sidewalk in front of my house. A little suggestion, A tarp for about $15 would have protected it. This is our second Tuff Shed. We were very happy with the first one. The service this time was unacceptable. We told the gentlemen exactly where we wanted it installed and they placed it 2' away from the place it needed to be creating a hazard because it is so close to the house someone could walk into the sharp overhang that is at eye level. We've contacted them several times only to be ignored. I finally talked to one person who said she'd forwarded my message to her manager - there is still no response. read more
