    Texas tornado inside look
    Denise D.

I'm really surprised this place isn't getting the love! I've been here multiple times, and the only problem I had was fixed quickly. Originally you had to wait through the drive thru line if you wanted to pick up your app order. They now route you to the outside lane and run out your order. Way more efficient! Today I ordered a plain potato, 1/2 lb of lean brisket, and a Texas tornado. I like to get my potato plain so I can dress it myself at home. The potatoes are cooked well & easy to reheat if necessary. The lean brisket is my favorite, nice crust, smoke ring & juicy! This was my first time trying a Texas Tornado. It's a jalapeno stuffed with brisket, cream cheese & the outside is coated with bacon sausage. They cook the whole thing in the smoker & coat it with a cherry habanero sauce. Really good! I'm looking forward to trying some additional items!

Solid bbq option with a DRIVE THROUGH!!! The BBQ is all good. The beans and macaroni are great. Not a big fan of the greens. Potato salad is okay. Have not tried the slaw. Banana pudding is also great. They also have a dining room downstairs, a small dining room upstairs with a full bar, and a patio with tables on the second level.

This is the best bbq I've had in a long time. It's as good as any of the other Texas bbq restaurants I've been to, and is conveniently located inside my favorite H-E-B store. The restaurant is cute and clean, and pretty quiet. There's a full bar upstairs and patio seating if you're so inclined. The service is exceptional. While there, I witnessed about a dozen elderly with canes ordering, and when their orders were up Clara kindly and respectfully called them up and had their food carried to their tables for them. Good food, good service, good people. 10/10

Very good bbq, but not the best I've had. They have a great menu selection. The restaurant is two stories. The lower level is were you order and pick up your food, the upper level has a full bar. Both levels have a dinning area, and outdoor patio seating as well. Now mind you, this restaurant is attached to the new HEB they just opened up in Georgetown. It's the biggest HEB in Texas.

H-E-B has officially opened its new Wolf Lakes Village H-E-B in Georgetown. The store, which is twice the size of the location it replaced, provides customers with an expanded product selection along with more services and features, including a two-story True Texas BBQ restaurant with full-service bar (yes, FULL SERVICE with vodka, rum, etc). The ordering process Let me start with this, the food and service (at the bar) is outstanding but the wait and process for ordering is abysmal. When I came to this location, I waited in line for more than 30 minutes to place an order and waited another 35 minutes to get the food. Yes, over an hour for food. There was one cashier and one expeditor for the inside customers and one person taking orders for the customers waiting outside in the two car lines. If there were more people who were customer facing (e.g., cashiers), this would not make a difference in wait times only because there aren't enough workers in the kitchen to make the food. The food The brisket nachos were outstanding. The nachos were topped with juicy brisket, cheese sauce, green onions, sour cream and fresh jalapenos. To the restaurant's credit, every location like this one in the H-E-B family uses all-natural Angus brisket that is either choice or prime grade. H-E-B sells the same raw briskets in the store. The white turkey meat had a rich smoky pepper flavor and was tender. This same sentiment can be used to describe the sausage. The TX Torepo left much to be desired. This meat is stuffed with cream cheese and brisket, then wrapped in ground sausage and slathered with raspberry-chipotle glaze. This item was hard/over done and difficult to consume. The sides ordered were greens and macaroni and cheese. The greens seemed as if they were canned and lacked the acidity that fresh greens have. The macaroni and cheese... no words for this, in the trash it went. The peach cobbler was sweet with hints of cinnamon and wasn't dried out as many desserts like this can be when they are made ahead of time. Bar service The bartenders I had were great (so much so that I tipped them $20 each for a bill that was a fraction of that). The spirits served here are local spirits only. So if one is looking for vodka, rum or tequila, etc not made in TX, well one should look elsewhere. The bartenders were friendly, courteous and a riot! The time spent waiting for my food was spent at the bar knocking back gin and tonics with a friend! If coming to this location, it is recommended that you be prepared to wait and while you do so, head up to the bar and have a drink or go shopping for your weekly/monthly groceries because it will be a while.

The new H‑E‑B building here in Georgetown is awesome. This BBQ place here is also really great looking inside. I wish however that the food was equally impressive. My potato salad was the best part of the meal. I really enjoyed that. Coleslaw tasted like most other coleslaws out there. The turkey had that desired pink smoke ring with was nice, it also had a good flavor, but it was really tough to chew. I really hopped it would have been more moist and tender. The service is friendly but slow. There were no one in line yet it still took quite a bit to get our food.

If I could rate this no stars, I would. This experience has made me realize that I will never be coming back nor visiting any other True Texas BBQ inside an HEB. After reading explanations this location has been opened for 11 days so I was excited to try some BBQ food. I DID NOT enjoy standing in a line for 35 minutes before my order got taken, specially when it seems like they are focusing on drive-thru and not the inside service (just do the drive thru anyone coming here). As I was standing in the slow moving line I observed many employees just standing around and only one person taking orders (good job Johnathan!) when two POS systems were there. Managers would come in and out of the back but never saw anyone stepping in to help deal with the massive rush that there was. Forks were not stocked and when another lady asked for a fork, she was told by an employee to use the spoons because that was where the forks were, even though only spoons were there. The place has only been open for an hour and they were already out of potato salad, collard greens and large sandwiches. Menu boards have no explanation of any speciality sandwiches. Got a couple little cups of extra BBQ sauce and sat down upstairs to wait for the meal. Door to the outside is broken and opens on its own only to SLAM closed after a few seconds later. BBQ sauce tastes bottled. It has been 30 minutes, ordered at 12:18, and still have not gotten our order yet. *EDIT* FINALLY got our food at 12:59. I had ordered the loaded baked potato with pulled pork. Pulled pork was okay and potato was cooked, nothing special about it. My better half got loaded mac & cheese with brisket, cornbread and a blueberry cobbler (because who doesn't like dessert). Mac and cheese has a layer of grease before you get down to the mac making it all super greasy. Cornbread was super dry, even with the mound of butter on it. Cobbler was cold, expected a warm gooey cobbler. So to sum up, not worth the wait and will never be coming back.

Upon entering the restaurant, it is very comfortable and feels like a nice place to be. Upon looking at their signage, they have live music! I will definitely be back for that. Upon looking at the menu, they have many yummy dishes to choose from. However, I have extreme food restrictions, and I did not see anything that I could eat because I am dairy free, processed sugar-free and gluten-free. I shared this information with my server (i'm pretty sure her name was Haley). She said, "let me go talk to the chef," and off she went! :) She came back and recommended "caprice chicken over veggies" which they would customize to my dietary restrictions. Wow, that was over and above and so comforting! She said that the caprice chicken over veggies dish came with a salad and she checked -and all of the salad dressing had sugar in it, so I told her to bring it to me plain with a little bit of vinegar on the side and she came back with a salad with dressing on it and she said that they found some apple cider vinegar they put on top and would that be OK... OK? It was perfect! I loved that she listened to me and she knew that was within my diet restrictions! Haley is a fabulous server. I told Haley that she was so good that I'm going to ask for her to be my server every time. I feel so blessed to find someplace that I can eat comfortably and be so satisfied! Did I mention they have Italian wine!?! Oh so good! My lunch was amazingly good, can't wait to get it again, the wine was really good The atmosphere was so pleasant and everyone there seem to be having a good time The service was exceptional! I highly recommend you visit!

Vanessa was very informative and very helpful in helping us decide what we wanted & telling us about their products. We ordered two sandwiches, a smoothie, a juice and a six dollar bag of chips and our bill was $76. That's a lot of money for two sandwiches, a smoothie, 1 juice and a bag of chips. We could've gone to some fine dining restaurant for $76. The juice was exceptional, my son liked his smoothie. The sandwiches were good. They weren't amazing, but they were good. They were very overpriced! So as for atmosphere and customer service this is an exceptional place to be. I just wish the prices were lower because if they were, I'd come here every day! I will be back for juice, but I can safely say I will never be taking anyone here for lunch. Not at these prices. Oh, they also have a rewards program. For my $76 purchase I have $7.60 rewards to spend. I do like rewards.

I never would have guessed I'd be going to a ham store for breakfast tacos, but here I am, having done so a number of times by now, because there's really no comparison to their breakfast tacos. Look, lots of folks in Texas carry breakfast tacos. Almost all are good. These, however, are GREAT! The Jedi are my favorite, I think, with the Apache a close runner up. The dragon is delicious if your tongue can take the heat. The frigas is a nice classic you won't regret. Also, my kid's pancakes have been consistent good there. Everything has been great. I should really come back for a ham sammich lunch sometime--they look good. But, meanwhile, I'll definitely be back for their tacos again soon--maybe tomorrow, because just thinking about them has me craving them again. But we dropped the ball, and when my boss asked -- at 5pm -- if the order got placed, I panicked. I called them out of desperation: "Is there any way you could do this in less than an hour's time?" I heard the young man asking his manager, and I could hear her say, "Yes, we can do it. I'll stay and help." Needless to say, they kicked butt! The boxes were ready 10 minutes before I needed them, I picked them up with no trouble, and got them to our meeting site at exactly 6:00. I was the "hero" in our group, but in reality, it was Bailey (the manager) and her crew of two that night (I'm sorry I didn't get their names!) that saved the day. When I told Bailey that it was nice of her to hang around even when she should have been gone, she said, "Well, I couldn't just leave them to do it by themselves." Now THAT is a manager -- going above and beyond. Of course, the sandwiches got rave reviews, but it's Bailey and her Monday night crew that deserve all the kudos. Do yourself a favor and go see them in Georgetown at 950 W. University. And if you're lucky enough to have Bailey working, you'll be in great hands.

What an awful mistake! First, I was surprised the subs were done so quickly, but noticed when I arrived that the restaurant was completely empty (probably an indicator). I picked up my order and drove back home. Little did I know, I should have actually checked the subs in the store. None of the 4 subs had the cheese or any condiments ordered or listed on the ticket. How does a beef and cheddar literally have no cheddar? None of the 4 were cut in two and there was no mayo, mustard, or any other condiment. That's tough to swallow with a toasted, dry, scratchy sub. Meanwhile, I was still out $45+, but then had to find something else for dinner. I've only ever not eaten or served something ordered one other time, but the subs were completely inedible. If you think you're craving the good old version of Jimmy Johns you remember, keep dreaming, as it's long gone! Update to add: one of my kids ate their sub for lunch rather than waste it, then she threw up! Yuck!
