Best brisket and spud I've ever had!! I usually don't go for brisket because it's usually dry but not here!

Moms Banh Mi - The evidence before I devour this banh mi. Incredible food

The owner of this sweet little food truck is so nice and very accommodating. To be honest, if I…read morecould have, I would've ordered one of everything on the menu. I really enjoy Vietnamese food and in particular Banh Mi sandwiches! i'm so impressed because this was the real deal! I ordered a vegetable on me because I wanted to be sure that I could taste the sauce, which sounded very interesting and the bread which can either make or break the sandwich.I ordered it without cilantro as I'm one of those people that it gives the soapy taste too. We started chatting and she's very easy to talk to. She recently relocated here from a food truck area in Round Rock so is getting herself established and putting out amazing food Here in Hutto-just off Main St. there are about a half a dozen food trucks in all in a very pleasant clean environment with plenty of room for seating. I also ordered a Vietnamese, lemon, soda, salty, sweet, cold beverage. OK now to get into my Banh Mi-Clean, fresh cucumbers, shredded carrots, some other veg and mom's sauce to top it all off. The contents was enclosed in a perfectly shaped crisp & chewy (but easily bitten into) mini French baguette. I was in love at first bite!!!! My soda was unique but refreshing and I enjoyed it as well. I can't wait to work my way through the menu. It will be a drive but it will be well worth it!!!! Mary mentioned that she will also be at the red Poppy festival in Georgetown, so if you see her truck there- clearly labeled MOM'S BANH MI be sure to step right on up and check it out. I hope to see her there myself. Although she's not been in Hutto very long, she still has many regular customers which speaks to the quality of her food!! Thanks so much, Mary. I enjoyed meeting you and I look forward to seeing you and trying some more of your delicious food.

Bahler Street - Fresh pizza!

Bahler Street

Cute, simple eatery located on the corner spot of a small center in Georgetown. We went late for…read moredinner on a Saturday to try this fairly new place. Very spacious and casual inside. The pizza place is towards the back, with a separate bar collab in front of it. Staff were great and ordering was simple; however, they did note issues with their soda machine and Coke provider while we were there. Pizza is freshly made with good ingredients (we got the margherita pizza) but the bottom of the crust was overly blackened and added some burnt bites into the mix which was not appealing. We also ordered a side of ranch for crust dipping but I would recommend skipping as it is definitely thick and store bought vs. made in house. Overall, we decided it is a great concept but pizza wise, we prefer other locations.

Ordered for delivery…read more My husband got a "build your own" with mushrooms, sausage and pepperoni. I got the gluten free Little Red Hen. The good: The mushrooms on husband's pizza were good. The bad: The gluten free crust was borderline raw. The ranch (both on the pizza and the side serving we paid extra for) was clearly out of a bottle, not fresh made. You could taste that awful soybean oil and vinegar taste. The sausage on husband's pizza tasted like plastic. Like not even as good as frozen breakfast sausage from the market. Ditto with the pepperoni. Ditto with the chicken. The mozzarella also was weird. Long strands that looked like plastic. Trying to reheat it was fruitless. Cheese refused to melt. Also plastic? Who knows. Not sure where the 11 good reviews come from. Maybe family members and friends? $65 worth of awful pizza going in the bin. There is no salvaging it. Very expensive lesson learned. Save your money and go to East Side pies. Or even just buy something from the frozen section at your market. It will be better than this.
