Brisket sandwich, made myself stop to take a picture - managed not to drool on the picture
John B.

Had a meal from them at the Barking Armadillo. Just from the smell, we knew it was going to be good, and we weren't disappointed! I was proud of myself remembering to take a picture of my sandwich before digging in, was too late for the Hop Queen's pulled pork, she already attacked hers as soon as she got it. This is real home cooked BBQ, super moist, super flavourful, with some of the best bark I've had in a long time - makes me envious when I think of my home smoked Q, gives me a goal to shoot for. It was so good we ended up buying a couple of pounds to take home. The sauce provided with it was stand out as well, we now keep an eye out for the next time they're around, and will plan our tap room excursions to get more!

OMG! Phenomenal! Finally found an amazing bbq joint around N. Austin/Georgetown! This place is up there, and I've eaten at Louie Mueller, Interstellar, Terry Blacks, etc. The bark on the brisket was like a meteorite, it was moist and the flavor was awesome! The ribs were great and the frito pie was . Excited to go back!

This is an easy 5 star review. Pat has arguably the best brisket in Georgetown. It's without a doubt my favorite. The brisket sausage is awesome. The brisket Frito pie will fill you up and Pat doesn't skimp on the brisket. The beans are my favorite side and the food truck is always near a local brewery so you can pair it with great drinks. There are always random additions to the menu such as brisket burgers. This is a local business that should definitely be supported. Looking forward to more great bbq.

Sausage sandwich with pickled onions and potato salad

Absolutely wonderful... Saw that they were at the brewery over here off inner loop and was a good day for some barbecue. Got this sausage sandwich with the potato salad which I'm very picky about and it was right on! Good stuff people good stuff

Melt in your mouth pulled pork, pinto beans and fresh green beans.

Big flavor and big portions from a small food truck! Some of the moistest pulled pork you will ever eat. Melts like butter. Two words: Brisket sausage! Nice and peppery with a great smoky flavor. All of the sides are on point as well. Vinegar based coleslaw helps cut the richness of the smoked meats, homemade potato salad and excellent beans and the green beans are fresh. We happened to catch them at Barking Armadillo Brewing in Georgetown. Glad we did. Highly recommended!

Brisket sausage. Yeah, that's a thing.

Smokey Mo's BBQ - Georgetown - A little disappointed that I paid so much for a three meat brisket platter and that's all I got. :(

I was visiting my besties in Georgetown and they wouldn't let me visit without feeding me as well…read more We decided to get takeout BBQ and this was their local spot close to their house. I was excited to try it because we all know, the Hill Country has some of the best BBQ in the state. The restaurant itself sits in a huge shopping complex and can easily be missed if you're not paying attention. The restaurant is counter service and not too big. It seemed like they did more pick up orders than actual people dining in. They have quite a few locations scattered around Texas so they must be doing something right. My friend did the pick up so I can't speak on the customer service. My friend ordered a smaller family pack which was a perfect amount of food for the amount of people eating. It came with 2 pounds of up to 3 meats and 3 pints of sides. It also came with all the fixins' like bread, sauce, onion and pickles. We got brisket, sausage and pork ribs along with mac & cheese, green beans and potato salad. The meal was not bad by any means, but it's not that top tier BBQ you come to expect in Texas. It's more of the backyard cookout BBQ. I've been spoiling myself and checking out the Texas Monthly Top 50 and Michelin star spots recently and this is not that. Respectable 'que though! The brisket didn't have that delicious bark or a prominent smoke ring, but there was flavor. The ribs didn't fall off the bone and these days, everybody is talking about that tenderism. This didn't have that, but again, tasty. The sausage was probably my favorite meat. It was sliced super thing which isn't my favorite kind of slice, but it packed flavor. The sides were ok, nothing to write home about. If you're looking to satisfy a quick BBQ craving, this place can be a great choice for your local neighborhood spot. I wouldn't go out of my way to get back here but would happily come back if in the immediate area.

I don't even care if parking is a nightmare, I'll circle the aisles till I find a spot This location has a true Texas BBQ restaurant and bar inside. My son loves the barbecue and sweet tea! CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!…read more I am so ashamed of HEB and their deceptive display set up. Especially during the holidays when we are all busy and in a hurry!!! When purchasing the spiral ham the coupon is to get 5 free items - the meal deal of the week. On the display - 3 of the items look like the coupon items, but are charged at full price when you check out. Somehow, the wrong items are put on the display but are NOT part of the coupon and are not free, however they look like the free items. The green beans are not, the mac and cheese is not and the dish soap is not part of the meal deal but included in the display. I refused the 3 items and did not get my 5 free items since they rang up full price. The Tx Sheet cake were correct and the potatoes were correct. I thought, ok, they are substituting because they ran out. No, they are not. They are full price and not any part of the coupon for the meal deal in anyway. However, they are on the display looking like the items of the meal deal. Of course, in the middle of the check out, who wants to run around the store and find the correct items?? SO, please beware and check your charges. If you think you were suppose to get it free, chances are you did not. Happy to know I have other options, Sprouts, Aldi, Randalls and Natures Grocer.
