A SPU water main broke on my street. My basement was flooded over a foot before I even knew what was happening. We ran to home depot to rent pumps to pump out the water and tried cleaning up the mess. An adjuster came and said the city was taking full responsibility and I would be reimbursed for expenses and losses. I wanted to support a local company. My office had a fire prior and we used Servpro but I wanted to support a local smaller company. The owner came out and gave me a qoute. I did wait 2 weeks for the service because I did continue to try to clean the place myself. The job was too big for me and I was working 6 days a week, 10-12 hour days. My 1st day of service the woman showed up and said we've got you. I needed that. I needed the company to come in, do their job to completion and help me finish the claim. That is not what happened. The workers came and packed. I thought they were coming back again but we lost communication. They left the basement half full of stuff and didn't clean anything. There were 7 clear bags which apparently were garbage for me to look through but they didn't communicate that. They didn't move anything out from under my stairs. I had 2 appliances and cardboard boxes under the stairs. They left my basement half full. I had to get a storage unit for everything left behind. I then also had to rent a truck to drive all of the items they left behind to the storage unit so I could try to repair the damage in the basement. It took me 6 months to call them to return my property. They said they could return in about 2 weeks and the qoute was more expensive because obviously the time it took for me to try to do all that in between my real life. When they came to return all of my items. We discovered broken items, garbage in some of the boxes and a bag of parts came back with water still inside. I called the owner because I then had more damaged items to claim. He stated that there is a option for cleaning but I didn't ask for that and it would have been more expensive. My problem is the city was paying so why would it matter? I needed full service and was given half service. The owner did send another crew of people out that following Monday to wipe everything down but it's been sitting in filth for 6 months. I was also charged over a $1000 for rental equipment. My roommate works at a construction rental facility and provided all the fans and ventilation we needed to dry out the basement. No additional equipment was needed or used.

As soon as they started the rebuild George's office manager called and said they could start the rebuild if we gave them 50% of the settlement up front. This company are a bunch of shysters and exactly the type you want to stay away from.

Jeff came out that evening to perform a high level assessment of the damage. The very next morning he had an entire crew at the house and they began the process of recording the damage for our insurance, performing the demo work needed to remove the damaged flooring and preparing the damaged areas for the drying process. I could not be happier with the performance of Jeff's team. They were efficient, clean and extremely professional. They constantly kept my wife and I informed of each step so that we always had a solid understanding of the process and what to expect next. Once Jeff's team had completed the demo and drying process, Mike came directly out to the house to assess the restoration stage of the process. He handled everything from ordering new flooring materials to providing the proper paint for the drywall areas that had to be replaced. Once the materials for the flooring arrived from the manufacturer, Mike's team promptly began their work on the restoration. I was blown away by how quickly the team was able to bring everything back to the way it was. The quality of their work was excellent. The new hardwood floors that were installed looked so much better than they did prior to the damage. The drywall and exposed insulation looks great. They took care to make sure that all of the molding was reinstalled and repainted. Their workmanship really speaks for itself. They even handled most of the paperwork with our homeowner's insurance. The only part they didn't handle was what the insurance required me to complete. I'm very appreciative to the entire Washington Water Damage team for all of their help through this stressful time. The man in charge, Fernando, and his crew were respectful of my belongings and made sure I was aware of everything they were doing. They made a list of the damaged pieces for replacement. After over two months of screw ups by the insurance company, I still did not have my stuff back. A quick phone call allowed me to visit their facility and retrieve some of my belongings (cold weather coats!). They offered to open every box (not necessary) and walked through everything they had done. Javier also called my adjuster, on the spot, to get me approval to replace the damaged furniture. There are some reviews around the unpredictable pricing, and consequently insurance billing, and they depicted Chuck as if he was aggressive and deceptive. Chuck is NOT. My place had a sudden heater leakage, with 0.4 to 0.6 inches of standing water in 2 rooms in the basement. Chuck arrived at the scene timely, explained the plan and options in detail, and provided very honest and personal advice regarding the insurance process. I had 3 water damage restoration companies come to my place for estimates that day, and Chuck's experience and resourcefulness really stood out. He was able to point out a major issue with another enclosed space that BOTH other companies failed to identify (and agreed to after I mentioned to them afterwards). Imagine how that would have caused me years later! Chuck also provided thorough alternative plans on the spot in the case we do find mold to largely reduce the cost of repairs. He has cost reduction in mind at all time even though the dumber alternative is likely also covered. I had to move to a different solution for other reasons, and I cancelled pretty much at the last second of the appointment. In the entire process, Chuck is really understanding and makes sure I am comfortable with the decisions I am making. He didn't demand for any sort of compensation, and even offered more advice, after having wasted the time and energy he already dedicated to my case. I have a lot of respect for Chuck and would definitely work with him again. I feel compelled to share my experience here as I think the review profile painted the wrong picture for me. :)

We had old / broken bi-fold closet doors replaced with a three panel solid slider. A cabinet that was sagging and in danger of falling off the wall got shored up. Broken and old door handles were replaced with new and fully working hardware and a heat vent cover was cut and repaired so it fit our wall. Damien and Istvan came on time and went to work right away. They were diligent and thorough and did a fantastic job. Highly recommend these guys to tackle those projects that linger around the house. This part of the house was expanded and re-built in 2016 as part of a year-long extensive remodel. Naturally, we were devastated. After checking around for references, we hired Golden Coast to complete the repairs. The damage was extensive and included 4 roof trusses, significant drywall, electrical and siding repair and a complete rebuild of our rear deck including a covered grilling area. Throughout this process, Golden Coast exceeded my expectations. While there were some protracted delays due to insurance, Golden Coast acted as my advocate with the insurance adjuster and fought the right battles with them to get our home back to where it was before. Throughout this process, our Project Manager, Igor Melinsky, was on top of the timeline and schedule and utilized a very helpful on-line status and timeline schedule so that we were always up to date as to the status of the project. In addition, Igor was extremely responsive to emails and texts (even on Holidays and Weekends!) and I would have responses from him within minutes of sending a message. As far as the repairs go, they had several carpenters and craftsmen who were absolute pros at what they do. The finish work and attention to detail was top-notch and the resulting repairs look as if no damage had ever occurred before. I would highly recommend Golden Coast for any repair or restoration need you would have. They are absolute professionals on the management, business and construction sides of their business and they are continually interactive with you throughout the process.
