Ivan, Jesus and Brandon were amazing from start to finish. We had moisture enter the house due to a roof leak, and these guys were professional and thorough throughout the entire remediation process. Jesus and Brandon were respectful of the space -- for example, when they had to take down some heavy closet doors and lean them against a wall, they put a cloth between the doors and the wall so as not to scratch the wall. They suggested fixes that in my mind went above and beyond, such as putting a layer of primer on the sheathing to help it resist moisture, should my roof leak again in the future. Hopefully I'll never need them again in the future, but if I do, they'll be the ones I call first. read more

However, things were less immaculate when they were negotiating with my insurance company over the total amount of compensation. Their communication was initially inconsistent, but after a little facilitation by me everything was eventually settled out to the satisfaction of all. They called after the project to follow up with me and explain what the hang up had been/how it will be prevented in the future. I'm definitely pleased with the work, their response to my intervention was good, I'd give them 4.5/5 if that was an option. read more

We had Robinson come over for an estimate/inspection after we had a toilet overflow that leaked onto the floor below. After that experience, I question both the company's substantive knowledge and their ethics. First, they used some pressuring tactics to try to get me to sign on for their services right away. They urged me to make a homeowners insurance claim right away, saying that the work would surely be more than my $5k deductible. I asked what if we just took some remediation efforts without a claim, and they said just having a dehumidifier and fan in here for several days would already run $3k so I might as well file the claim. They otherwise would not offer an actual estimate for anything. The next day when they reached out to follow up, I said I didn't think it was worth it to file a claim and be out $5k. They then miraculously said they could do remediation for $2-$3k without a claim. I also had them look at another area of the house where we had some mystery water but was now visibly dry. I thought it came from outside rain. The technician said we had a leak and needed a plumber. I got a plumber in later who removed dry wall to look for the leak. There wasn't one. The plumber seemed really trustworthy and replaced a part just in case and was not $$$. But seemed to badly reflect on Robinson. read more

We had an awful experience with Robinson Restoration and strongly recommend avoiding this company. We live in a small concrete condo unit, and when our furnace room flooded, Robinson showed up quickly and set up dehumidifiers--but everything went downhill from there. A week after the incident, we had to leave town for two weeks. The project manager assured us he'd check on the equipment and keep us updated. Instead, we returned to find the dehumidifiers still running untouched, with zero communication despite multiple attempts to reach him. Only then did we learn he no longer worked there. No one from Robinson bothered to notify us, even though he still had authorized access to our building and unit. The new project manager made us start over, even though readings and notes had supposedly already been taken. They then insisted on removing walls, bathroom tiles, and hardwood floors--much of which we later learned was unnecessary. Their crew was careless and caused additional damage: walls and doors including an antique one were dinged by their equipment, and they cut out more flooring and walls than required. None of the work that should have been completed in the first two weeks had even begun, dragging the remediation out for over a month. Because they removed tiles that probably didn't need to be touched, we ended up having to replace most of the bathroom tiles since matching tiles are no longer available. What should have been a small, contained repair turned into a four‑month ordeal. Robinson made no effort to minimize demolition, and several items that never needed to be disturbed couldn't be restored to their original condition. Much of the later repair work was spent fixing damage caused by Robinson during their remediation. On top of that, they sent an overinflated bill, and when we asked for moisture readings and justification for each charge, they couldn't provide any. We ultimately settled just to end the headache. Save yourself the stress, time, money, and frustration. Choose a different company. read more

RUN from this company. When my basement flooded a few weeks ago they came out and said all the right things. It was, however a nightmare from then on. They strongly pressured me to sign several documents then said they would take care of everything...the 4" of water, the drywall, insulation removal etc. What we got was an inept bumbling company that didn't know what other parts of their team was doing. Also, no one ever quoted any price at all. It was a trust me vibe. Now , after we refused to pay for the only work they actually accomplished (asbestos and lead paint testing they have put us in collections. They never gave us a call, text, email or letter letting us know what the results of the tests were. 3500 dollars later we're heading to court. This is worst experience we've ever had with a contractor. Do not trust them, it truly is a "let's get as much money from these suckers as possible ". They should be ashamed of fleesing vulnerable people at scary, stressful times. I would give them a negative 10 if it were possible. Just dont use them, you will regret it. read more

When our plumber showed the day we called for plumbers to come to our home, he could not get the access door open to the crawl space and we saw the water damage he called Robinson Restoration and within 90 minutes Jeremy Young was here, (same day), got the crawl space door open & started with his mediation. Jeremy and his crew, Jesus, Lawrence, etc. went to work isolating the water leak from the main water valve in the house. He quoted $8,000 to $10,000 but would not give me a written quote and then proceeded to pressure me to have it done right then. I turned him down and have had a few other quotes. I asked them out to help me remediate mold in my bedroom, I was afraid to touch it without it being professionally remediated. Robert walked into my home showing my daughters TikTok videos of his famous cat, and ignored me when I asked him to put it away. When he looked at the job site, he fully disturbed the mold I was afraid to touch without professionals, and then told me I needed to lie to my insurance company to get them to pay for it. I spoke to management and asked what to do about it, they said to put plastic down with painters tape and to change my bedding. I asked if they would be willing to come and help me actually remediate the mold, that I was willing to pay for, and could not get support. I am very sad about this. read more

I had a really bad experience with them. They never showed up when they said they would, they removed significantly more of my ceiling than they needed to (like a lot), they didn't pick up their equipment when they were supposed to, and then they tried to overcharge me. They left a huge mess in my shower and house that I had to spend hours cleaning, and because they were so far behind what they said they would be, I had to reschedule a ton of other projects. They also removed my shower door and left the pieces all over my house, then when they (finally) put it back, it was crooked and wouldn't close so I need to pay a glass professional to fix it. The process of removing a small amount of mold in my shower stretched to over a month, and then repairing what they did has been a giant headache. It made moving into my new house a nightmare and added significant stress to my life. I do not know why "restoration" is in their name- they were incredibly unnecessarily destructive and they do not actually do any restoration work themselves. I would strongly advise not using them unless you have no choice. I would personally rather get mold poisoning than work with them again. Out of all of the not-good contractor experiences I have had, working with Robinson is my greatest regret. They cost me thousands of dollars and tons of time, but they did remove mold (and a bunch of other stuff they shouldn't have removed and didn't tell me they would remove). People at the company were definitely nice, but I don't think they do passable or professional work. read more

Full story: I sincerely regret calling Robinson for a "free quote" when I called to get my elderly aunt help. I called and told them that I was managing this situation with her home because she was unfit to make her own decisions anymore and was experiencing significant cognitive and physical decline. This showed in her inability to handle this water leak in her home on her own or with the help of my elderly mother that was around to help with what she could. Pierre rather talked to my aunt and filed an insurance claim with her since she said she had home insurance. She didn't in fact have home owners insurance, she was remembering incorrectly from 2 years prior, and he expedited the work before confirming that she even had insurance. Upon learning this, I canceled the content manipulators from coming to her home myself to avoid more charges. Pierre told me that the most we could expect to pay was a few hundred dollars since Robinson wasn't trying to cause my elderly & demented aunt harm. I then get a bill for $2500 and this was just for them to remove a small portion of drywall and set up dehumidifiers. On top of this, Pierre was unprofessional in the way he spoke to my sister and I (which the Seattle area manager did address promptly) and now dealing with their billing team I can say the same about them. They are calling my aunt and my mom instead of calling me as their point of contact that started this whole thing, and saying we are being unresponsive because I am fighting them on this bill. I emailed them the day I got the bill fighting it and answered countless phone calls as I was trying to quickly move my aunt out of her home to avoid foreclosure. On top of this, my disabled cousin lived with them making the need to protect my family and their resources the best I could even higher. Even being aware that they didn't fulfill the initial ask for a "FREE QUOTE" as I requested, then being told that my aunt lost her home due to fraud and subsequent results from her memory loss, they are still sending me this insane bill for minimal and incomplete work. I fully believe that Robinson and Pierre took advantage of elders and their disabilities, claiming they wanted to help. I do not recommend this company to anyone seeking help for their family members, ESPECIALLY those that heavily need the support of others, or for their own homes unless they have a pretty penny to dish out when only asking for a "free quote". If I had been given the quote as asked, I would have determined at that time that she did not have the funds to pay for this and would have denied any work. Robinson should have kept the promise for the work I asked be delivered at the time and waited to confirm before racking up this grossly unjust bill and then telling a 77 year old woman and her 49 year old disabled son that are now technically homeless that they have to pay $2500 from mid January now or they are being sent to collections. I will never again work with Robinson Restoration. read more

We had a water leak in the laundry room and they were referred by the plumber. The communication is the worst ever. They never followed the schedule, and sometimes it was just no-show. We had to call the project manager every 2-3 days to align on things. I was told they were understaffed and so the work progress was slow. The project manager told me the work would cost around 6-8k in total and eventually my insurance company received a 13k bill. They overcharged me for basically everything, and spoke like it would be fine because my insurance would pay for me (I can foresee a huge increase of my insurance premium next year). Today, my contractor told me the vent was disconnected and it is still blowing hot air to the crawlspace. Robinson did not let us know about this anyway, and that costs me money for the electricity bill for months I guess. read more

After demoing my leaking shower to the studs/underlayment, I was concerned about the wet floor and possible mold and debating between hiring someone or doing it myself. Chuck came out, took a look with moisture meters, answered my questions and decided the job was almost done already. He advised me on how to proceed safely to kill any mold, remove the underlayment and dry out the subfloor.
