We have come here quite a few times now and each time we are absolutely blown away by the food, drinks, service and atmosphere. They seem to change their menu quite often, which is fun because it's always nice to try something new. Their portions are quite large so you won't leave hungry. They have a lot of healthy options and I appreciate how they are using really good ingredients. Our last server, Gustavo, was excellent and provided perfect service. Margherita Pizza Beef Burger Wow, where do I begin? First off, this restaurant is decorated beautifully with greenery and an open kitchen. Very clean as well. Brian, who I believe is the manager was knowledgeable of the menu and provided great insight on all of our questions. He was energized and happy to help. Our waitress was great as well but I forget her name. Now for the food... absolutely delicious. We tried the Apple Lemonade and The O.G. refreshers. I recommend both. We also went with the Margherita pie with gluten free crust which was yummy- if the pies were a bit bigger I wouldn't mind. Lastly we each got the Grass-Fed Burger with kale salad *drooling*.... The burger was perfect in every way. Cooked to perfection and each ingredient was beyond flavorful. Came here for lunch yesterday and was seated right away in a nice green booth. Overall, I enjoyed my food but a few missteps. 1. Took a while for a waiter to get to us, but once he arrived, he was pleasant. 2. Lunch came FAST. SO fast, that the Mediterranean salad was missing multiple components (olives and almonds). Seemed the fixings were on the bottom, so we had to sort of toss it and eat through it until we realized stuff was missing. Waiter took a while to check on us so when we told him stuff was missing, he brought us a brand new salad (although we said cups on the side would be fine). 3. While we waited for a new salad, we shared my pesto pasta. It was so different! Loved all the vegetables in it. It looked small but it was hearty. All it needed was a small piece of bread for the sauce. We ended with the pink lime tart which was amazing. Of course, it's seasonal. After the waiter brought us the check, he also brought us two large shots of the watermelon lemonade to try, which was delicious although I don't think I could drink an entire glass. I would prefer that the kitchen take an extra five minutes to ensure food comes out correctly rather than have to chase down waiters to correct food. I found the food fresh and delicious though. The salad dress was absolutely amazing! I will come back and try the summer menu the waiter told us about and hopefully, the kitchen will slow down so meals come out accurate. read more

I love the vibe of this place and really wanted it to be a "go to" place for me. It's got a nice atmosphere and who wouldn't be attracted to their "abundance of fresh ingredients". However, after giving it two chances to impress me I was sorely disappointed. I can't recall what our party of six had during our first visit, but the food was above par. It was above par, that is, when it finally arrived. Service was exceeding slow during an early evening when the restaurant was far from crowded. After we were first seated, it was a good 20 minutes before a server approached us. We ordered drinks and another 20 minutes passed before they arrived. There were similar delays ordering and receiving our meals. Perhaps they were having an off day. I would not write a review based on a single visit. During my second visit, we were a party of two. The service was very good. My Thai Peanut Noodle Bowl was quite delicious. However, the Guacamole was not to my taste. That could just be a personal thing. My partner ordered a Grass Fed Burger ... medium rare. It came well done. I ordered an Elysian Space Dust IPA. The beer was fine, but I did notice the bottle they served me had a "best by" date that was a few months in the past. That's not what I would expect from a restaurant that highlights its bar as one of its attractions. Overall, the place is OK but when someone says let's go out for dinner I'm not going to be chiming in, "Great idea. Let's go the True Food Kitchen". read more

I usually don't like writing negative reviews but when you spend $60 bucks on brunch, I feel compelled. Everything was good EXCEPT: My friend and I went at 1030 am on a Sunday. We were first and the only ones in the restaurant. It was quite pleasant. Then a family with 2 small children came in. One was only months old and the other a small toddler. Out of all the empty tables in the restaurant, they seated them in the table behind us. The kids were noisy with crying and just being young kids. We couldn't enjoy our meal with the noise. My dish was subpar for the money it cost. It wasn't bad but it just didn't seem it was worth the money. I ordered a grapefruit spritzer that cost $5 bucks and had to send it back because I didn't taste any grapefruit. Just the club soda. The waitress brought me over a tiny shot of grapefruit juice and then it tastes a little better but not much. But that too was not worth the money to me. I don't like the open kitchen. Someone dropped and broke a glass and you can hear that as it reverberates. Also, I looked back there and saw someone of the kitchen staff eating standing up. I treated my friend hence the cost and told her that I was cooking at my place the next time. read more

TFK lives up to its' promise providing clean, fresh, quality food that is nicely prepared and appealing. The edamame dumplings seems to be a signature item on the menu and was very good. The tomato and lemon flatbread appetizer was ok. My beef burger was tasty, my daughter enjoyed her poke bowl and wife liked her Korean noodle bowl with tofu. As enjoyable as TFK was it felt tainted by us feeling rushed despite explicitly asking waitperson to serve entrees following completion of our shared Cobb salad for the table. Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. The definition of a hole-in-the-wall. I got the regular hamburger and wow... there are no words. A classic burger done right. Crisp bun, juicy patty, stuffed with all the essentials (ketchup, shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickles). There's about a million options available between the menu board and wall full of specials, so it can get a little overwhelming, but you really can't go wrong. I came here with my husband, my in-laws, and my husband's aunt for my mother-in-law's birthday. Let's assign names so I don't have to keep typing out "mother-in-law, aunt-in-law", etc. My husband will be S, my mother-in-law is A, my father-in-law is C, and my aunt-in-law is D. It was A's birthday, so we came here. When the waiter came around get drink orders, I ordered a Juniper Rose and D tried to order a diet soda, however, they didn't have any, so she ordered a Lemonade instead. Everyone else got water. Food wise, A and I both got the steak tacos, C got the Poke Bowl, S got the grass-fed burger, and poor D, tried to get the margherita pizza, but they didn't have the ingredients to make it. So after looking at the menu again, she ended up going with the Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl with added shrimp. When the food came I think we literally scarfed it down. It was that good. The tacos were amazing--the steak was tender and easy to chew and just had a lot of flavor to it. The slaw and street corn were also really good without being too overpowering. The cool thing about this restaurant is that it's farm-to-table so even though it is a bit pricey, you're paying for quality and freshness. 10/10 would recommend. read more

As we pulled into Riverside Square Mall, we saw the True Food Kitchen. After shopping we worked up an appetite. We went to CheeseCake Factory, then decided to give True Food Kitchen. We went in, place was empty compared to CKF. My wife tried to order one of the drinks and we were advised they didn't have that specific one but had everything else. We then asked for a Prosecco instead of a mixed drink, they did not have that either. The food is B+, it has more of a cafeteria ambiance. The service was quite slow. After trying to look for a place to eat last minute that served vegan food in New Jersey on a Sunday (ironically lots of the vegan places were closed or look unappetizing), came here for a food date and absolutely loved it. I'm going to review the vegan options as my date wasn't vegan and got a different dish, but we did share the appetizers of roasted Brussel sprouts (they were crunchy and the mushrooms paired well) and tortilla chips with edamame dip which even he loved! We agreed though our fav one was the chips and dip because the chips were huge and not your standard tortilla like chip, and the guacamole was just super-b! As for the butternut squash pizza, I was skeptical since it featured almond ricotta and has spinach, raisins etc (a wild combination of ingredients), but I was surely surprised. The thin crust of the pizza was crunchy and perfect for eating this whole thing alone (but I of course shared and took some home for dinner). Highly recommend it as it's one of their most yummy looking vegan choices on the menu! Lastly, the ambiance of the place is very chill, but also beautiful as there's art on the walls, plants at the ceiling and the staff are very kind. The bathrooms were also clean and cute looking for photos! Parking as well outside as it's located at a mall. Spicy Panang Curry w Shrimp, Turkey Burger, Vegan Burger, Avocado Toast and Chicken Panini. Appy Buttetnut Squash Soup and Guacamole with both GF and Regular "bread." Let's start with the Guacamole. Really good Guacamole but the server mixed up which was the gluten free and which was the regular bread. No bueno. Then after noticing we were waiting so long a manager (Brian I think) came over and apologized and pointed out a miscommunication. Water. Ask for two glasses up front. Well the food was was good at best (one was ice cold - the Turkey Burger). The Vegan Burger fell apart like a vegan sloppy joe. I wanted to come to this spot to try their vegan menu. I made reservations for 6pm. When I arrived I seen that it was located in the mall shopping plaza. I found parking after awhile and walked in. I was greeted and decided to sit at the bar. We were served by Rell and another young lady. The service was mediocre. For my drink I ordered the merlot and that was pretty tasty. For my meal I ordered the vegan double cheeseburger. That wasn't too good. My friend ordered the chicken parm and my friend said they could of made it at home lol. The bill for me was about $37. Everything is delicious. My wife and I both have different palates and we both loved the food. It's a bit pricey but well worth it! Ambience: very open, natural and inviting. We love to find cafe, bars, or restaurants that all us to spend a few hours doing remote work and preparing for our work week. We came here on a Sunday evening, and sat at one of the high-tops near the bar. There were outlets for our laptops as well as free Wi-Fi. Our waiter recommended a fabulous Chardonnay and the brussel sprout starter. I am a huge fan of brussel sprouts and these did not fail to meet my expectations. Also enjoyed the rose sangria, Tulsa tea, hibiscus tea and horchata matcha. Yes, we tried a ton of drinks. Wanted to ensure we tasted everything possible before this review and not one disappointed my family of three. The charred cauliflower and forbidden rice made a special side item combination that touched all our souls too. Hubby has also tried the double cheeseburger and margherita pizza also and begs to come here on a weekly basis.
