We booked an infrared sauna session (sweat with a friend) for the evening. This location is tucked away in a small strip mall and once you arrive, you are greeted, sign a form, and remove your shoes before entering the main area. The sauna space was nicely organized. There are sauna booths that are separated and have a little bit of space diretly in front of the sauna entrance covered by a curtain that allows you to undress and store your belongings. In our space, we had a timer, a call button for the front desk, a mini fridge with cold hand towels, a sign with all the different color options for the chromotherapy, and a small bench/basket for your belongings. As someone who does not regularly go to saunas, I had to take several breaks throughout the 45-minute session, but it definitely did its job and had me sweating! We enjoyed being able to adjust the colors for the chromotherapy as well. After our session, we were able to rinse off in the shower, and there is a sand room in the back where they set up some non-caffeinated tea for you to decompress. I enjoyed this part because the sand was so smooth and soft, and they do their best to create a calm ambience in the room even if you are just looking at a mural of the ocean. Some downsides for me personally: I felt the space was a bit small and cramped. Each sauna and other offered services are in small box-like rooms that aren't full rooms (the walls do not reach the ceiling). There was only one shower room, and the sand room was a bit tight (only 4 seats). I'd be curious to see if the other locations have a similar or different layout. Additionally, because the walls of the rooms do not reach the ceiling, nothing is soundproof. You can still hear some noise from other folks while in your sauna and are encouraged to keep noise to a minimum to maintain a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Lastly, I believe there is supposed to be a way to connect a bluetooth device in your sauna as advertised on the website, but we couldn't really figure out and weren't sure if it was a good idea to bring any devices in as it was super hot. That said, it wasn't something we absolutely needed so we just decided to hop in and enjoy the sweat. We enjoyed our infrared sauna and would recommend it if it is something you are looking to do regularly. It looked like they had several different membership options that give you access to different services each month.

The multiple spa spaces (steam room, clay sauna, Finnish sauna, and more) make it perfect for a large-ish gathering to have elbow room (we had 20 people) while the layout also makes it intimate enough that we felt connected. Nothing like all your friends cheering from the hot tub while you cold plunge! While the spa is always "social" so no need to whisper, I highly recommend the luxury and fun of a private booking. Aside from respectfully keeping our voices low in the locker room near treatment rooms being used by other guests, we were able to laugh and toast to our hearts' content. On that note, the staff was so accommodating with a table for the snacks we brought, a tub with ice for our drinks, and generally all the coordination that it took to pull this off. They made it as easy as possible. And on the day-of, Denise was a particularly gracious host -- welcoming us and even patiently/considerately snapping a group photo from multiple angles (at our request, to be clear - haha). I'll be back many more times -- whether solo or with friends. So grateful for this urban retreat in a very convenient location for Seattle-area city'zens.

Thinking they would be understanding and flexible enough to even rebook me another day so we could still experience this and 100% pay them, because why would we not? That's not at all what happened. Management said that the masseuses still had to get paid somehow, and even after experiencing this emergency with our car, we still had to pay the 50% cancellation fee. We will absolutely not be returning, due to this company's lack of understanding and flexibility with its customers.

Efram greeted me pleasantly, checked me in, and asked calmly if would like to proceed straight to the waiting room and have someone bring my robe and slippers to the massage room. I was thrilled with being offered this option so I would miss less of my massage session. I quickly said yes. When Tracy, my massage therapist, greeted me she noticed I wasn't in a robe and slippers. I explained that they would be brought to the room. She was very kind as she led me to the room. When the robe, slippers, and bag arrived, Tracy took care to put my belongings in the bag, place my slippers on the floor, and put the robe in a warmer. When she finished my delicious massage, she placed my robe on top of my covers for me to easily access. Once she left the room, I slipped into the robe and felt the heat caress my skin. I felt so cared for. Efram checked me out with a smile and efficiently. He asked me how everything was and I told him everything was wonderful! I couldn't stop grinning, I was so happy about my spa experience. Thank you Efram, Tracy, and everyone at The Spa that work so hard, for making it such a special place.

For hair cut and balyage, I had to try a few stylists to finally find the one I like. Although Everytime I go their prices have increased! And it's getting to a ponit I'm considering switching to a different place.. I've also done facials in the past and Jenny was my favorite aesthetition. She is very skilled and takes time to answer any questions you have.

Life, work, relationships... damn it! I needed a massage! I needed to start over, on a positive level, so I came to Truce! As soon as I entered the spa, I felt calm, and empty in the most satisfying of ways, free of the daily grind, and into an oasis of rejuvenation! I would describe the spa as a 'boutique' style, very personal. Before my treatment I spent a few moments sipping tea and listening to a mysterious calming fountain, truly bringing my senses to ease. My therapist was Chris, he was inviting and seemed excited for the treatment, which continued to give me even more positive energy! After getting to choose my own oils, Chris gave me a moment to do a 'candle lighting ceremony' which really gave me the chance to bundle up all my frustrations, light the candle with them, and blow them away to the reaches of the universe, leaving me in absolute peace to truly enjoy 60 min of bliss. The massage was excellent; Chris pinpointed troubled areas on his own and customized my massage to what I needed! After the massage I spent a few more moments in the lounge with the mystery fountain sipping cucumber/lavender water and breathing like a normal person again! The only thing I would have change is my massage to a 90min instead of the 60!! Good massages are everywhere, but an atmosphere that I could truly feel at peace in is the most important part of my experience! So positive! My life is as hectic and crazy as everyone else who wants to complain and complain thoroughly from business to business on yelp, but I am choosing to begin my Yelping to only explain the good things about business that work so hard to compete with large companies paying 'Yelp' to only post their great reviews, while companies that don't pay, and can't afford to, only receive their worst reviews... **Now with co-ed infrared sauna and wine!!** We had the opportunity to revisit Truce Spa so I thought I should update my review. The staff is still very nice and attentive and the two massage therapist we saw over two years ago are still there! With as easy as it is for a good therapist to move around it was a nice surprise and it says good things about Truce. The spa is still clean and well maintained. Now about the new stuff, they now can offer you a glass of wine and will arrange food deliveries from local restaurants so after you have papered yourself all morning you don't have to leave to have lunch. The other very nice addition is the infrared sauna. For those that don't know a infrared sauna is a dry sauna that uses panels that generate heat that penetrates the skin and warms your body without the need for the supper heated air like in traditional Finnish sauna. For best results using a sauna is done in the nude but in keeping with local customs the staff provides nice "wraps" you wear in the sauna. The men's wrap is like a towel with Velcro that your wrap around your waist and the women's wrap is a body towel that you Velcro around the chest. The sauna is located in its own room with a place for you leave your sandals, hang your robe, and store extra towels. The sauna looks like a "Radiant Saunas BSA1323 6-Person" sauna but the staff calls it a 4 person which is more realistic for our western since of personal space. I highly recommend using the sauna at Truce before and after your treatment it really is a must for any spa offering body services. read more

Run - don't walk - away from this nightmare spa experience! Awful, painful mani/pedi. Noisy, overpriced massage. #Westin #Fail Chau cut my toe nails... down to the skin line! I almost cried when I saw the ridiculously short nails. Tried to say something but she speaks almost no English (or pretends not to..) Bad things happened next: she did not look at my feet when she filed my heels (which resulted in four 1/2 inch scars on my left heel: OUCH!) and she rushed to apply the scrub on my legs. I was sick to my stomach after such poor service. Then it got worse: when I tried to explain the awful service to the receptionist Anna, instead of listening, she argued with me, raised her voice and said Chau is one of their best technicians. Translation: if your feet are mistreated and you receive pathetically bad service - that's not Truce's fault! My girlfriend and her fiancé tried to get massages... sadly, they heard people talking in the other rooms and the service was "blah". Truce charges high $$ but delivers mediocre service? It is hard to believe a well-designed spa gives such poor service, but sadly I found out there is a reason why you see so many negative reviews for Truce year after year (bad management: Carol, attracts bad service). The Westin clearly doesn't care about shady vendors like Truce Spa, by allowing them to operate under the Westin name - but without giving Westin-level service. @Westin @Fail Be warned: Don't go to Truce!! read more

Every time that I walk in the door at Truce Spa, I know that I am in for a treat. The receptionists are lovely. I do not know why everyone on here is saying that they are rude, they are simply doing their job. When I go to any place of business, I expect to be treated well. However, I also treat the staff nicely. As far as this spa is concerned, I recognize that they are upscale and therefore have regular clients that come in on a weekly basis that keep it quite busy. I do not always get in at the time I request. The locker rooms and showers are impeccably clean, the lounge is peaceful (there are no loud magazines and bright lights, just you and relaxation), and the staff is quite friendly. My massages have never been anything but fantastic. The two pedi/manis I have experienced there were the best I have ever had. In my opinion, this is the best spa in the Seattle area! read more

I had a Groupon for a facial...it took me awhile to get in (about a month), but it was definitely worth the wait!! Chris was amazing....the facial started with a candle ritual to blow away any tension or stress...then i cuddled onto the comfy, warm table and spent the next hour (+) enjoying the layer upon layer of luxurious lotions, potients, fragrance and massage. The facial included a wonderful neck, arm and hand massage which was a very pleasant surprise. The products Chris used were amazing (the most powerful mask I've ever felt)...there was no pressure to purchase additional services (although I did upgrade my facial for a mere $15 to include an enzyme mask/peel). The spa itself was less than I expected...very simple, no viche shower, whirlpool, steam, etc in the common area, but lovely and serene. Oh, and by the way, my skin looks great! read more

After my appointment today, Truce has become my favorite spa in the NW! As soon as I walked through the entrance I felt at peace and relaxed. I received the Escape Package which included their Signature Massage, a facial, and a mani/pedi. My massage and facial were with Chris, who by far, gave some of the best treatments I have ever experienced. The Spa itself was personal and elegant, a space truly designed for relaxation. I can't say enough about the massages Katie gives - she is A*M*A*Z*I*N*G!. If you want to know what a massage feels like when the person touching you cherishes your body (and you can *feel* it) you are in for a treat! I really don't think a massage can get better than this. But, shhh, don't say anything, I don't think she knows her secret ingredient is out ;-) . Booked an appointment for my wife. We were driving back from Caanada and the border wait delayed us by 45 mins. The receptionist was able to adjust her appointments and fit us in perfectly. The services were top notch the massage room and spa area incredible. She had a facial, massage,manicure and pedicure. 4 Hours of bliss as she put it. Mind you, I understand Chinese, but I don't have the look that would indicate I do. As a result, I typically like to stay quiet and listen. They were very polite and focused on the job, and figuring out how to lower the lights. Lastly, the treatment, was it the greatest I've had? No, I can't say it was. But I still left the place with the cleanest, softest hair, as one would expect after a head spa. To me, it was worth the money I paid for two 70-minute treatments. As long as you aren't expecting a lavender-smelling spa like one of the higher-end places, you'll be fine. They did what I expected them to do and they were super nice about it.

Even though both of us booked services, only one provider was ready. I was told to lay down, but no one explained I'd be waiting for another provider to finish with a previous client. I was left there wondering what was going on until the second staff member finally came in to begin my session -- by then, my bestie's treatment had already started. During the head massage, there were several distracting moments. We heard people fumbling around for supplies, drawers opening and closing, and even a FaceTime conversation on speaker. It made the atmosphere feel more chaotic than calm. At one point, the lights came on mid-session while I was still finishing up and my friend had already completed her treatment. It interrupted the experience and took away from what was meant to be a soothing service. Afterward, there was no clear communication about what to do next. We waited for a while until someone came into the changing area to tell us we would be getting our hair blow-dried. As we followed them, my friend tripped over a poorly placed chair footrest and fell into a countertop. The counter was barely secured and came loose, forcing her to hold it up so it wouldn't fall. Staff ended up propping it up temporarily with a chair until it could be fixed. Thankfully she wasn't hurt, but it was definitely a safety concern. Although we purchased this through Groupon at a discounted rate and were excited to try it out, the experience felt uncoordinated and far from relaxing. While we appreciate the effort from the staff, there were just too many small issues that added up. Unfortunately, we're not likely to return.

There weren't clear instructions at first, which made things a bit confusing--especially since one of the two beds had an extra bedsheet on it while the other had none. (It turned out they just hadn't put the sheet on yet.) There was one female masseuse and one male masseuse, and they asked us about our preference. We would have preferred two female masseuses, but that wasn't an option, so my husband chose the male one. My masseuse was a short Asian lady who chatted with me and asked where I wanted her to focus. I told her I had shoulder pain. The massage was 90 minutes long, and I apparently fell asleep without realizing it because they said I was snoring--LOL! So embarrassing. Either way, my shoulders felt amazing afterward. They also provided a complimentary bottle of water. The price is lower than most other places, and the service was great. I'd definitely go back again when my shoulders are dead again!

This is the place to go if you want deep tissue reflexology because Kevin is a pro at doing deep reflexology without the annoying feeling that sometimes you get with this kind of massage of somebody just pushing their fingers into places that hurt. He never does this! I know for sure I'd be much sicker if I wasn't able to go here at least once every week and a half! ! Scheduling is a breeze and as long as you keep them updated as far as your schedule they don't get mad if you have to change the time or cancel. I paid via Zelle and showed confirmation that the payment was processing, including the notification and account details. I also offered to follow up shortly to confirm once it cleared, as I needed to leave to pick up my daughter. Instead, I was repeatedly told to stay and wait. I was then followed outside, and the staff member actually got into my car to prevent me from leaving. I had to physically ask her to get out of my car. Shortly after, the payment went through as expected. I understand wanting to confirm payment, but this situation was handled in a way that felt extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable -- especially toward a long-time customer who was clearly trying to pay. It's disappointing because the massage itself was good, but the overall experience left me shaken and unsure I would feel comfortable returning.
