We tried this amazing little cafe for the first time and it is one I wish I had tried sooner. It's tucked away and not visible from St Rose, but it's a favorite find. The coffee was delicious! As decaf coffee lovers, we always try a decaf americano, and it didn't disappoint. It was excellent. The breakfast options are varied and very filling. Tried this coffee shop for the first time this morning. Rode my bike there ! The inside is very nice , cozy, plenty of seating both indoors & their outdoor patio. Super cute & clean inside. I ordered an iced Americano & the lemon loaf bread. The Americano was good, should've asked for some cream though. The lemon loaf wasn't that good. Starbucks is better. Which is why I took off a star. Overall, it's super cute. Not sure I'd return only because I don't live on that side of town. Wish there was a bike rack to lock my bike as well. I got the opportunity to meet the sweet Susan and Dee. My good Yelp friends from Vegas. They decided to meet at this place and I loved it. When I got there at first I didn't see them. I ordered the iced brown sugar cinnamon oatmilk latte and they knocked it out of the park. The coffee flavor is so smooth and balanced -- it's perfectly roasted which is increasingly rare these days. The ambiance here is also 10/10. While it's busy, the music is perfect for a coffee shop vibe and it was surprisingly quiet for how packed it was. We were looking for a close coffee spot near our hotel and luckily Tru Bru popped up! Within walking distance and opened at 6am was the perfect storm. Upon entering we were greeted by the staff along with the smell of freshly roasted coffee. Plenty of seating inside. I ordered a cold brew and the grilled chicken omelette. Scratch made along with fresh organic local ingredients, what's not to love? The omelette itself was very light on the stomach with that cheesy feta taste that I like. The potatoes were perfectly roasted and the sourdough toast was delicious with the local butter and jam. It was so good that we came back every morning we were in. There are so many things I would love to rave about with Tru Bru. I will start with the thing that matters more than anything: customer service. We had the pleasure of being greeted by smiles and sincere gratefulness that we were there. I felt that more than anything with Cooper. The kindest soul, great recommendations, and even when an ordercame out wrong, we were met with care and then going above and beyond to make it right. We're all human, and mistakes happen, but it's how we handle the silly things that means a lot. What a joy! Food is spectacular. Best breakfast burrito... and halfway through my coffee order I saw beer handles!!! At a coffee shop!!!?? "Wait strike the latte... hazy IPA." lol. Happily ate my burrito, drank my pint... and then ordered the latte to go!!!! Lunch all day, breakfast till 2pm... coffee, beer, they roast their own beans, tons of seating, swanky vibe but comfortable, great AC (Vegas must), inclusive staff and diverse customer base. Literally cannot rave about this any more. There's lots that went great in this Vegas trip. I live clear across town from this place but I love the vibe and try to go by when I am in the area. I tend to order their seasonal specials, so I don't really have a regular, "go to" order. A friend of mine swears by their iced chai, but my husband didn't care for it so YMMV. I do appreciate that they have a food menu here. The soft scrambled egg toast is a good choice, and I think they also do a good avocado toast. My most recent order was their fall Sweet Potato Cold Foam Cold Brew, which really hit the spot and wasn't too sweet. The menu has a lot of tea options as well! That being said, the iced drinks I've tried are sometimes overloaded with ice, which is a turnoff. Maybe it's a consistency issue. But the thing that I'm always so enchanted by is how cozy and welcoming it is! Natural light, dimmed additional lighting, a fireplace, a small patio, the beautiful extra touches here - very homey, even the bathroom has a nice lotion to use after washing up. There's a fireplace, which really adds to the comfortability. The place is perfectly lit, not too bright, not too dark. It's the perfect setting for just sitting talking with a friend or bringing your family (which we plan to bring our girls here for sure). There's also a little outdoor seating area. The food was good. The breakfast sandwich and burrito weren't anything special (no added sauces, just your meat, cheese, bread, etc...) but they were good and satisfying. For the price, I felt like you get your monies worth. Now the blueberry scone on the other hand was superb. It was warmed up, which added to the perfection of this pastry. They use real ingredients and European butter, which you can really tell the difference in a good quality item, this hit all the right spots! The coffee was delicious. I'm not a black coffee person but I really enjoyed my husbands pour over, it's something I could actually drink myself. I ordered the Irish cream iced latte, which was good and not too sweet. The only thing I would caution is the parking can be busy (it's located right next to a gym). We came early so we didn't have any issues however the parking lot is small so I can imagine that as the day goes on, you may have to pack your patience on finding a spot. I was in the mood to try a new-to-me coffee shop and decided on Tru Bru. In being transparent, I don't drink coffee, but I do love a good quality matcha. First I will say that the coffee shop itself was so warm & inviting with ample seating and friendly staff. They appear to roast their own coffee in house which added to the nice aroma. They also have a decent selection of both coffee and non-coffee beverages as well as food items. My husband got an iced coffee and enjoyed it. My matcha, however, did not hit the spot. I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk & some vanilla syrup added. This matcha had such a strong artificial sweetness to it, that I honestly could not finish it. I'm not sure if they're using a matcha vanilla blend lending to this odd taste or if their syrup is subpar. I also got a scone as we went for breakfast; it was just okay. The biggest issue with this shop is the location. Parking was a nightmare. We circled the front & back of the building a few times before finding a spot. If you love coffee and don't mind circling around for a parking spot, this certainly is a great place to just relax or even work remotely. Great place for meeting for the first time! Met with a potential book friend here due to her recommendation and it was great. We sat in the sofa area and it was comfortable, music was at a great level, and the ambiance was nice. We talked for about 3 hours and had no problems hearing one another or any other problems whatsoever. I got the iced dirty chai and it was delicious. It was pretty strong too! She got the matcha and says she loves it at this place. I'll have to try it next time. She also got the avocado toast and had no complaints. Parking can be a but scarce, but I got lucky and arrived when someone was leaving.
