Trotters restaurant has now brought back their awesome lunch buffet, and salad bar! The price has gone up, but it is worth the money if you want to go out and have a nice lunch for a business, birthday or special occasion I highly recommend this place. They have a great selection to choose from. They have also redecorated the dining room area with new furniture . Very nice.

My Valentine's. Look @ that flounder. It was amazing!!!

BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!!!! WDUP THO?!?!?!?! Godd to see y'all again. I had a reservation at poogan's porch but I got off work too late and missed it. So then I went to the Holiday inn riverfront. They need to go ahead and cancel that restaurant it is so bad. They are literally serving $2 pizzas. Theit Valentine's Day meal that you had to buy a whole bottle of wine with the package. No other meals were served. So if you do not drink wine it was tough chitlins. You cannot make this up. So driving down Savannah highway I remembered all the happy hours I used to go to and the buffets at trotters restaurant so we pulled in. They didn't have a crowd at all. I really miss the buffets here. You would get so much cool points with The girl you was trying to impress by bringing her hair. Their seafood buffets used to be out of this world. I will give anything to revisit that or for them to bring that back. They have the same old menu. So I was skeptical. Everything was pretty good I have to admit. They definitely save the evening for me. I was seconds away from two women looking at me super crazy. I must say, the whole fried flounder stole the show. It had my mother talking about it for three straight weeks. And I got to be honest it was season perfectly and perfectly fried. It looks so impressive on the plate. I forgot the waiter's name right to hang out with his nephew we were real cool friends. His nephew died maybe a year and a half ago. So what's good seeing him and we reminisce for a minute. We both look completely different each other Father time is undefeated. Lol. My chicken parmesan was excellent. I judged my chicken parmesan by the leftovers. If it is still good and still breaded 3 days later I call that perfection. Everyone left out with stomach foods. The food came fast also. I found out they still do buffets and I would definitely be back. Good to see there still going after all these years. They are definitely a staple of West Ashley. Thank you so much for saving the players life. Lol

This establishment is inside of the Town and country suite hotel. It's a buffet restaurant with an amazing omelet station I give this place a 10/10 a must try for breakfast. They do have a lunch and dinner option also Monday-Saturday

This restaurant was part of the Country Inn and Suites where we were staying. Upon checking at the hotel we got a $15 voucher for the restaurant since we booked direct with the hotel. You get one for each night you stay but they can only be used on specific days. We stopped in the restaurant upon our checkout. The restaurant is really lovely. The ceiling around the lights are recessed and have beautiful silver swirls that gives it a really classy feel. I could see it be used for special occasions or groups. They have a buffet section but it wasn't being used the day we were there. There are cloth napkins and the waitress was friendly. She brought us waters before taking our drink orders which then came quickly. The restaurant wasn't terribly crowded at 1030am on a Wednesday. The had 2 servers at the time. The waitress asked what we needed before the food came out and I got real syrup instead of sugar free and we got some orange marmalade. She brought it out and made a joke about "our apps". My husband had the Trotters Starter with eggs, hashbrowns, ham, and rye toast. I had French toast with toasted almonds on top. The food was good.

Historically a great breakfast, my family has been meeting here for their famous breakfast since the late 1960's

Amazing feast, served with southern hospitality and in true Charlestonian style. You just can't beat a Trotters Meal. My family has been meeting here since the 1960's for their breakfast feast. Welcome to the South, remember to try the Grits!

We usually don't hit up many hotel lobby restaurants, but went here after hearing some good reviews. It was fairly empty when we arrived and we were seated immediately. After looking over the menu I asked the waitress what her favorite meal is, and she recommended the fried chicken, rice and collard greens. She did not let me down, this was an excellent meal full of flavor. It was complemented with some phenomenal corn bread as well. This was a great surprise in how good it was, and helped turn our opinion about hotel lobby restaurants. We will be back next time we are in the area!

That said, we were NOT told that there was only 1 cook and it would be a long wait for food until wellllll after we placed food orders. Drinks weee not filled in a timely fashion, empty dishes sat for a while. Again, trading on a curve because they were short staffed. But we should have been told from the get-go, not after waiting a really long time to place and order and then waiting a while for the appetizer. I had the Stones burger and ordered medium. It came out well done, that's fine, but it was the driest, hardest hockey puck of a burger you can imagine. My son ordered the breakfast burger and was NOT asked how he wanted the egg cooked, it was cooked runny which he doesn't like, so he didn't eat it after a literal nibble. The fried pickles were the saltiest I've ever had and the portion size was very small, especially after waiting so long for them. Yeah it's a sports bar but the TVs were up so loud any conversation was impossible and it was actually hard to hear the waitress. This was just not a good experience at all. Spent nearly an hour waiting for food while hearing a TV blasting in my ears, not being able to talk to my kids, starving because I saved my calories for this meal, and having lousy food to boot. Do not recommend. J.Ja

I've been there three times. Food was just ok, except for burgers and fries. Used to be very good. I've tried several other things but have been disappointed. The swordfish I tried, was the worst I've ever had. With their happy-hour smash burger, they give you a sauce, that's like tomato-honey mustard. Like a crab cake sauce. Never had a burger in my life that was served with crab cake sauce... I don't care for it. I asked them to hold the sauce and swap it with extra cheese. They did. They charged me $2.00 for the cheese. Unbelievable! I don't even think it was real cheese. I decided to talk to manager about it. She took it off - but argued with me - over a cheese slice on a happy-hour meal... I get that it cost something. I would have been ok with 50 cents. Eating at a restaurant requires 20% tipping and prices are raised everywhere. Most also charge a credit card fee. I rarely eat out, due to high prices. And in many cases lower quality food is used to keep prices lower. The burger I had was not even tasty. Not like the ones I had previously. Plus, I noticed they took down their previous happy hour menus from the bar. This place is 20% full every time I've gone in. The first time I went in the bartender bought me a beer. This time an argument over a cheese slice. Seriously? What's next? limits on the salt and pepper? One shake per customer? This is an eat-in bar/restaurant that boasts of good prices. It's not McDonald's. And even they wouldn't charge $2.00 a slice. Clearly they don't value me as a customer- not going back. No thanks, keep your cheese, Chuck!

Our server was really amazing. Our son ordered the cheese pita pizza and vegetable which was cauliflower tonight. He liked everything. I was not super impressed with the pizza, but it's a kids menu so it gets a pass. My husband and I were a bit deflated when we saw the current menu after looking at menus on here, but I didn't look at the dates so I'm sure they are old menus. So many things we had our heart set on trying that they didn't offer anymore. That's our fault, obviously. We had planned to grab our son dinner and we were set on a couple of apps and splitting something. We ended up ordering the fried chicken, paying $3 more for all white meat, French fries, and a side of Mac and cheese to split. It took ab 15 min to make the chicken which was no problem and we appreciated them telling us that when we ordered. Once the food arrived it looked great. The Mac and cheese was fantastic. The chicken was good and juicy, but we didn't think it was anything special really. They did give us some honey tobacco that my husband enjoyed but we felt let down by all the hype on the fried chicken. The food was prepared great and came to the table hot, we just didn't love it. They didn't do anything wrong and if they brought back some of the older menu options we might go back but after this experience it's not getting added to my favorites, unfortunately.
