    Uncooked salmon.. not good
    Lauren R.

Beautiful scenery outside the restaurant & the menu looked amazing, but lemon pepper salmon came out under cooked ( raw in the middle). In our party someone else's steak came back raw instead of medium well.

We came here with a large group for a late lunch. The service was fantastic and both the menu options and the food itself were great. To start we had the ahi tartare and the calamari. Both were phenomenal and bursting with flavor. For our entrees our group ordered everything from the filet to the burger, pasta and more. Everybody was served a moderate portion and overall the food was very good. Prices were high for the Lansing area but not obnoxious. Drinks were also very good and affordably priced.

Best martini under $10 I've had...ever. The Troppotini is a must.

Each time I visit my brother's family in Lansing, I check out this restaurant. It has the best patio in town and great happy hour and Sunday specials. But what I really enjoyed most outside of the food is the Troppotini- a fabulous martini that is made of vodka infused raspberries. And it is under $10. This place is a bit on the expensive side but if you go on Sunday you'll get a third off. Overall I like it. But I don't know if I would go on a day that isn't Sunday or happy hour. Paying 20 bucks for chicken marsala in downtown Lansing doesn't seem justifiable to me.

Margarita pizza, supposed to have basil, but that's alfalfa sprouts!

I was excited to hear that my family decided to meet up there for a post-Thanksgiving/birthday celebration for my niece the day after Thanksgiving. My brother arranged their private room for our group of 13 and it was a great experience. It took a bit for them to make sure the room was ready, but it was so cozy and pretty. The "happy birthday" menus are a nice touch. We were also able to bring in our own cake/cupcakes. We ordered some appetizers for the table - calamari and spinach artichoke dip. They were both good but the spinach artichoke dip was my favorite. The calamari was cooked nicely but a little bland. The dipping sauces were nice and a good variety. For my entree, I went with the Market Catch - king ora salmon. You can choose from several different options and select your preferred cooking method. I went with broiled and asked for it medium rare. Our main meals all came out at staggered times, but it wasn't too bad. I really liked the mashed potatoes that came with my plate. The fish was a little under seasoned, but cooked pretty close to medium rare. The portion size was great for me. Others had the fish and chips, shrimp and crab tortellini, seared scallops and risotto, etc. The shrimp and crab tortellini looked especially delicious! I didn't hear any complaints about the meals. I did have a bite of the clam chowder and found the clam I had to be pretty chewy and tough. Our server was really great the entire time, with refills constantly being poured and managing everyone's orders well. I would recommend this spot for a special occasion in their private room.

At first I thought the Seafood Boil were run by Vietnamese, only to realize the restaurant was operated by Chinese cooks. Kid server recommended the Blue Punch and I ordered another Margarita Lime since it was Happy Hour on a Monday. I started off with a Philly Eggrolls...pretty mid...exactly what you'd expect out of a Sysco Catalog because c'Mon who in their right mind will hand roll a Philly Egg Roll...let alone trays upon trays everyday in the back kitchen. It was salty, and over powdered by wannabephillycheescakeness. Next the Raw Oysters...these were the highlight of the night...I know they may have been frozen..but in all honesty it's been 3 hours since I swallowed 6 oysters and I'm still alive. Probably the cocktails aided in killing any excess bacteria.. And onto the main entree, I went with their signature boil and just want to go on the record. The shrimps will taste better with head on. The crab legs were good. The thing I didn't feel was up to my expectations was their house sauce that they boil everything together in. It lacked a punch, it lacked flavor. There was an overall lack of Garlic, Lemon Zest, Lemon Pepper, White Pepper and Brown Pepper, and there was a lack of MSG, and also lack of cayenne peppers and ghost pepper powders. And because of this, I'm giving the Boil a grade of C. Service was A+ Cocktails were B+ Oysters were A Appetizers were C Boil was C So the average was 3.5 to 4 stars out of 5. I forgot about the lobster bisque...I know it's not real lobster, they usually put langastinio crawfish in there...but the soup was too Salty.

Here are all the things that went right: - we were immediately greeted by the bartender Jackson and presented menus and water and told about the featured cocktails -as we were deciding what to drink, I noticed a pretty impressive coctktail list and a list of some very good, rich red wines -the Angel's Envy Bourbon Berry Smash was delicious..spoken by someone who normally doesn't like bourbon but wanted to try an Angels Envy bourbon drink that was not too sweet. I chose the raspberry rosemary syrup as the berry of choice. My boyfriend had a well made gin and soda. -nice to see there were appetizer and entree specials. Makes you want to come back to see what will be on the specials list each week in addition to a nice well-rounded menu -Jackson helped us select among multiple good sounding entrees. As a pescatarian I wanted a seafood dish and decided on the suggested seafood risotto. My date was between a couple of fish dishes but after a discussion with the bartender and a further description he decided on the Maui Mahi with coconut risotto. We chose to split a salad rather than have an appetizer. -the meal--the salad came out on two plates so we did not need to divide the spring mixed berry and goat cheese salad. It was delicious and fresh and definitely enough for two side salads. We were also provided some warm crusty bread with olive oil and balsamic. Our entrees were of good portion size, visually appealing and HOT---not just warm---which I greatly appreciated and talked about after we left. The risotto was prepared perfectly by someone who clearly knows how to make a proper risotto--it was not gluey and set-up, but perfectly tender and creamy. The seafood was delicious. The scallops were seared nicely and not overly salty (something many restaurants don't understand is that you typically don't have to salt shellfish as it is salty/briny on its own). My boyfriend's mahi was sizable portion on top of an ever so slightly sweet and spicy coconut risotto. His was fantastic as well. We also enjoyed the sautéed zucchini that came with both..also nice and hot! -we had a delicious bottle of wine with dinner. After we paid for dinner and left with our remaining wine, we promptly came back in because of the heavy downpour of rain. We sat back down and finished our wine. The things that could be ever so slightly improved: -the lighting in the dining area is fitting of the decor and vibe of a nicer restaurant but the lighting at the bar is just too bright. Could maybe benefit from dimming them and possibly adding a few candals oe the small table/rechargeable lamps along the bar as it seemed wide enough. -the shrimp on the risotto should be two larger shrimp (8-10 size ) rather than the very small shrimp that don't seem to fit the vibe of the dish -there were only two options for dessert...maybe another one or two would be great -a little birdie told us that the restaurant will be having a happy hour menu soon (and a second location). We would LOVE for you to add some truffle fries with some sort of aioli...we can envision ourselves stopping in for those and some wine...often! Great addition to the limited higher end restaurants in the area. We look forward to many more meals there.

There was one small piece of lobster in this bite, so not the most generous portion for the price. Main: 6 Oz Filet Mignon 3/5 - The meat was cooked well (to medium rare) and had a great crust on the exterior. This carried the dish (as it should). The accompanying sides, mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies, would be best left out. The broccolini and green beans were salty and overcooked, extremely soft and cooked well past it's ideal texture. The mashed potatoes were ok, but are just there as a filler. Side: Michigan Kale Salad 2/5 - The ingredient list sounded superb, but the execution was not there. The kale pieces were LARGE and were hard to eat in bites. It desperately needed another chop (or few) and a deep tissue massage. The salad was also HEAVY on the red onion - if that's your thing, then this is a great salad for you. The red onion was added with a heavy hand and needed to be soaked in water prior to serving to get rid of the pungent bite. Pass. The free bread rolls were ok as well, but I would rather have a Texas Road House roll.
