    Brown Stew Chicken Lunch Special

NOT EVEN GONNA LIE you just can't go wrong with Tropicana.. I've been going here for about 5 years now and honestly the quality has stayed the same (great) and i even still see some of the same people too! This is the lunch special for $8 !!! For that price you can't beat it , the flavors are all there and the brown stew is just perfect with the rice and peas

The food here is very good. I pick up food for my mom whom is very very particular about her food.. I've been here several times for the lunch special, which is really reasonably priced. My food order is always correct, as well as the food is always hot and fresh. Ordering by phone is a breeze.

Veggie Stir Fry with curry sauce

Tropicana never misses! I have been a patron here for years and their food has yet to disappoint. I usually get the veggie stir fry which contains rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. You can get any sauce added with the meal for no additional cost. I usually get curry or jerk sauce. Besides their food, what I love the most about this restaurant is their affordable prices. If you have the chance to come here during lunch hours, you can get a curry chicken meal, a jerk chicken meal, or a brown stew chicken meal for only $6! That's almost impossible to get at other Caribbean spots. And on top of that, it's very filling too!

    Lady that has attitude

Make sure you ask them is the food fresh first because they gave me old oxtails that wouldn't even come off the bone they were so tuff. Food is good when they make it right and they be having attitudes an this lady is the main one who has an attitude she should just work in the back but the food is good when it's made right.

The food was good - but they have the WORST customer service.... I'll go back only because the food is delicious - however we as consumers shouldn't have to deal with nasty attitudes!!!

Authentic place for Jamaican food. If you like spicy food, definitely try the jerk chicken! Good sized portions for the price.

The waiter was nice but the service was very hit/miss because sometimes we had to wait for him or try to find him but it usually didn't take long. The music was very loud, more like closer to club level than restaurant level, which made it difficult for me to hear most of the time. I am not a true seafood lover as there are very few seafood items I eat but needless to say my husband couldn't say enough positive things about the catfish and grits and the other couple we were with absolutely loved that they got their calypso sauce on the side because then they got to enjoy the flavor and crispiness of the fish. The one crabcake on the Chesapeake Crabcake meal was very flavorful and I enjoyed it. Their food was very good. The prices weren't too bad but you also got a lot of food for the price. They both come with chicken peas and potato curry. Blend so well together. So delicious. Kinda addicting. It's a small place to dine in. They have about 5 tables. I recommend take out.
