Hands down THE BEST DOUBLES you will find here in the DMV. I drive all the way to New York because it's the only place I can find Trini doubles that mirrors actual back home taste. My best friend asked me to try Caribbean dish about two weeks ago and I've been back four times. I kid you not, they are my favorite now! I also tried the chicken roti, phoulorie and currants roll. All were delicious. There's no seating space however the interior is big enough for multiple people to stand in line and order. The staff is always friendly and the food is prepared rather quickly you are in and out in moments. I cannot believe it took me so long to find this place. It saved me a 4 hour drive!

Caribbean Dish does not miss! From the doubles, to the goat buss up, to the veggie platter.. Everything I've had has been a hit. Best Trini food in the area! The service is great as well.

I came across this spot searching for lunch locations. They serve authentic Trinidadian dishes so I was really excited. I went for a double and soup. They only serve soup on Saturday so I got the double. Very tasty and one of the best ones I've had in a while. If you authentic Trinidadian food, stop by this spot.

The food is authentic, flavorful and downright delicious. The price is amazing for the amount and quality of food you receive. The service is warm and inviting. I've never gone anywhere immediately after my first visit, but I did this time. The family works in there and even the customers are friendly. There's no place to sit down and eat but the food is soo good your rather be at home to totally immerse erge

Food always on point and hot. Makes soup like grandma used to make back in the day. Just need pigeon peas soup now. And some crab and dumpling

I mean there was only another couple at the time I visited but also the food came out quickly so huge plus! And the restaurant is spacious and casual so enough space for large parties. Overall I enjoyed it but there are a couple things that fell short! I ordered the chicken roti platter. 1.The roti! It's a very small portion served in a small coconut shaped bowl compared to the amount of food you got on the platter. I thought more was coming and unfortunately it was balled up in shredded little pieces that were kind of dry and i couldn't eat it properly with my sides. I thought maybe I had a bad batch but my friend had the same portion and complaint. Unfortunately no pic of that. 2: Honestly the plating is meant to be aesthetically pleasing but it was very hard to eat bone-in chicken out of a bowl on a saucer full of more bowls with a knife and fork. It was better when I took it to go and had a plate at home. Please reconsider this for the diners experience. 3. The doubles was my fave! It's a small app but very delicious and had a slight kick to it.

I feel like we generally have way more Jamaican food than Trini food around here (and even less of other islands), so it's a nice addition. If I wanted to I could walk / jog there, but otherwise it's a 5 minute drive. It's on a corner in Roosevelt Center where an Asian restaurant used to be. Even up until now, I see the Trini flags everywhere, and there are some pictures that still haven't been hung up. Sometimes they play music in there, and sometimes they don't -- I wish they'd play it all the time, because otherwise it can get oddly quiet in there. As for the food... 90% of the time I go is for their Sunday buffet. It's less than $30 for an all you can eat (AYCE) that includes plantain, chicken, fish, desserts, and some fantastic vegan dishes that are labeled as such. They have a whole vegan menu, in fact. And it's lovely to see all those on top of traditional Trinidadian options. When they first opened, they only served doubles and certain other things on weekends -- not sure if that's still the case, but they had signage to indicate that. By the way, I love their doubles. The buffet is the perfect way for me to unwind on Sundays, but I should try exploring other times, haha. I feel like a Caribbean restaurant in Old Greenbelt is a first, and I'm delighted to see the representation. Room for improvement: keep the drinks stocked during buffet, and there have been instances where no one is at the front and I've seen people waiting for a bit, sometimes impatiently. Perhaps add a bell to ring?

By default it came with two pieces of oxtails but that was too much meat for me so I asked for just one piece and more veggies. My server was kind enough to do such modification for me. The oxtail was fork-tender, had lots of collagen, beefy, and had a distinct sourness. The pickled veggies (cucumber slaw & bell peppers) provided a different type of sourness and a hint of heat. Overall very good, though the flavors from the meat and veggies were so strong that I could not have a clear idea of the flavor of the coconut rice. Also, I wish there could be more jus because it went soooooo well with the rice! The second time was for dinner. Tried the Pepperpot, Crispy Kale and Hops. The Pepperpot was a stew of oxtails, cowheels and beef chucks. Very beefy and spicy, a little bit sour/tangy, and very earthy. The sauce was heavenly. It was served with a small bowl of coconut rice and 2 pieces of hops. The rice was a little bit sweet and salty. The hops were similar to dinner rolls, except that they were more dense and firmer. I thought the Crispy Kale was like fried cabbage in soul food but it was literally fried -- so it was very crispy. Too oily for me. I like the mango chutney, though. Service was good and quick.
