It was the perfect balance for our family--being able to enjoy both worlds while traveling with kids. Special shoutout to Rubi at the front desk who always treats us so well and makes us feel so welcome every time we visit. Thank you for the great hospitality!

If you're looking here you're probably wondering if Yaamava played a tricked on you?…read more I'm here to tell you they did. This isn't one of those pleasant jokes, like a gift card that says $10 and really has a $100 loaded on it. You've been pranked. Epic T.V. Show, hidden cameras, scripted level prank. Now to be fair it's not a bad place to stay. The rooms are well furnished the iPads are helpful, the gym is well equipped, they have pictures of the restaurant in the lobby, but I haven't eaten there so I won't comment on that. But that's not to say I don't think I should be given a credit to eat there. With my previous few experiences here I think a free dinner or breakfast is the LEAST they could do to make up for how I was treated. Let's start with the "courtesy call" I made the reservation through the Yaamava VIP host, they took my card info and made the reservation. I made it for the next day and told them I would be around because I had a funeral to attend to. That I would be by to check in after the funeral. So they called me... DURING THEN FUNERAL, that's not what I call a courtesy, it was inhumane. But the manager on duty Ms. Summer put the blame on Yaamava, so we both lamented Yaamava's unprofessionalism. The coup de grâce which really irks me is the deposit policy. Check in isn't until 4pm. Standard, no problem with that. But if you don't check in by 6pm they charge your credit card the full amount of the room. UNACCEPTABLE!!! You have two hours to check in or they charge you an outrageous price? Two hours? Get this if they charge you this ridiculous unexpected rate and your card doesn't go through, they give away your room. What kind of threat is that? Where does it make sense and in whose mind is this policy okay in? The general manager Jason called the next day and acted like this policy was completely normal. You can tell when you're talking to someone who has been trained to gaslight, It's not a normal policy it's crazy. In summary I like staying at Bear Springs, it's not Yaamava not anywhere even close to the same level of luxury but it's still cool. But I hate the deposit policy. The charge stays on your card for weeks. It's like an interest free loan they take EVERY time. It really sucks as far as unnecessary payments go, because they charge you another deposit on top of that when you arrive. It's an utter failure as far as policies go. So just be aware even though you got comped a stay you'll most likely be ripped off the entire amount for a good portion of time. Plus a deposit. Whoever came up with this policy should be scalped a square inch on both temples. Two days later and neither of the charges or deposits or whatever they called these cash grabs have been returned. Have fun coming here, be prepared for their failure of a completely unnecessary and superfluous policy to jack you for a few hundred. But hearing them bad mouth their partner Yaamava is slightly amusing. Overall verdict, this place seems like a strong maybe. Think carefully before staying.

No matter where you sit, you'll have a great view and an amazing experience. The VIP section is especially nice with food, dessert, soda, and water included, which really adds to the overall experience. The staff is constantly checking on us! I love the chocolate we get after it's just a little bonus. Like most venues, the merch and bar lines can get a bit long, but they're absolutely worth the wait. The bartenders are friendly and actually know how to make a good drink, not watered down, but not overdone either. Huge plus! The restrooms are always clean and well maintained, and the VIP bathrooms are my personal favorite. Seating in the front rows is the most comfortable; as you go higher up it does feel a bit more snug, but nothing that takes away from the experience. Security deserves a shoutout, they're on it! They make sure everyone is in their correct seats, are very helpful, and keep a close eye on everything to ensure a smooth and safe event. Overall, I've always had an amazing time here and will definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend!

The good: clean, good bar, lots of security, shiny finishes in the concourse, good sound quality. The not good: The venue completely sucks the energy out of the crowd. The venue has seats that do not flip up so there's no room for in and out or dancing in your space. Also, if you try to dance/stand in the aisle, security will tell you to return to your seat. Basically, you have to sit in your chair for the show. It's terrible. I felt sorry for the performers. Also, there is no general admission so no energy up in front of the stage, rather there are "premium," bigger seats at the front of the stage, which totally kills the vibe. Just don't do it.

You hear the stories of San Bernardino (or in my case you didn't until your uber driver is taking…read moreyou to your hotel), but this area of town is known as a little hotel district. This doubletree is adjacent to a few local restaurants, as well as, a neighboring drive-thru only Starbucks and few major fast-food chains. There is a U-driveway that makes it easy for dropoff and a side gated parking lot that guests can use. I really appreciate the level of safety they implement at night for their guests as they are key-card only entries. The staff is pretty attentive if you do not have a key which obviously occurs at late-night check-in (which indeed happened to moi). DoubleTree San Bernardino features a little market, convention rooms, a large bar/family restaurant for folks staying. For Hilton Gold members they offer a daily F&B credit which is nice. I really enjoyed the open seating throughout the lobby where you can work or simply hang out. The hotel rooms are pretty standard, nothing crazy yet nothing horrific. Carpet isn't my personal favorite in a room but I always travel with flip flops for such scenarios. If you're able to, request a room in the nearby elevator which makes it that much easier to go up-and-down. All in all, a solid stay and they have a pool as well for the weather.

I paid for two nights expecting a clean,…read morenon-smoking environment, but the second night my room was completely filled with marijuana smoke. This made it impossible to relax or sleep, and I had no choice but to check out early. No guest should have to leave a hotel they paid for because the room is uninhabitable. What is even more concerning is that after looking at other reviews, I saw multiple guests reporting the same marijuana issue. This clearly shows it is an ongoing problem that management has not properly addressed. Although another room was offered, it was late at night and not reasonable to move, especially with my granddaughter. At that point, the damage to our stay was already done. A non-smoking hotel should enforce its policies and ensure guests are not exposed to smoke. I paid for a service that was not delivered. I am requesting a full refund for the night that was impacted, as well as the return of my deposit. This is the fair and reasonable resolution. If this is not handled appropriately, I will continue to escalate this matter and share my experience on multiple platforms.

Always greeting me when heading out or back in the hotel. My room had a king bed, stand in shower, tv, desk and also a small fridge and microwave area. My stay was decent for the most part! I didn't have much complaints. However just small things out of my control. The room did have a slight smell (not necessarily bad, I just aired out the room!) speaking of that. I did like how we are able to crack windows open a bit. I understand safety concerns but it was nice to get some fresh air. One thing though was the noise outside, maybe it was a radiator or something but it was pretty loud from evening till past 12am. The AC/HEAT unit was decent as well. Not the greatest but does what it needs to! It does have a slight smell too so I wonder how often they get cleaned and filtered out. I tried to do fresh air as much as possible. Tv had streaming and live TV. Microwave and fridges were. Clean! Bathroom was clean as well however I did have a bit of ants on the walls or the half end of the stay. The gym is small. 1 cable machine, 2 benches, free weights, 3 treadmill (only one worked at the time) and a few other cardio machines. Warm n humid in there Otherwise, that's really it! My experience was not bad. I think everyone's experience is subjective. I appreciated the service and stay for making my stay safe and comfortable.
