Not to mention a nice pour as well ;) The best part of this place is there's a DJ here! At least on Thursday when I went! He was playing epic music including house to hip hop. My favorite kind of jams you sure will bop your head or even dance to! If you're looking for a place for some good drinks, an upscale ambiance, great conversations, good service not crowded, a nice place to chill, and great music, Aces bar is the one! Two TV's for the patron's sport of choice. I came back a second time today. Brought a burrito with me from Chingon Kitchen and asked Joshua what'd pair nicely with it. He asked me a few questions and away he went. He coated a slice of pineapple in sugar and brûléed it, muddled some jalapenos... a few other secret ingredients, added mezcal, shook, and smoked. beautiful. Joshua really knows what he's doing. I love that he puts attention and care into the drinks that he makes. Can't wait to see what he's got for me next time. My husband was able to get the food we ordered mostly from JBQ, but had to hunt down his cheesecake and our drinks, even though I could've sworn I ordered everything at JBQ except for the cheesecake slice. My husband was a good sport about it while he hunted down the rest of our meal and was bummed we didn't get comped an extra drink or dessert for our trouble. Food was good though, just should've ordered from the kiosk instead.

The freshness of the herbs mixed with brightness and tang of the acidity of the sauce really brings out the flavor in this delicious fish entree. Who knew this little bistro/lounge at the Bear Springs Hotel in Highland, Ca. would have such a delicious menu? Oh, and they change the dining menu options ever so often. They also have a full bar menu for drinks as well. The vibe is upscale casual. There are two dinning areas at the hotel. One is the bistro (for more quiet dining) and directly across the hall is the lounge, where food and drink are also available. Great spot for a fun date night. On Friday and Saturday nights in the lounge, there is live music from 6-9pm. You can just order drinks and enjoy the music in the lounge, but you're gonna want to try the food too-it's yummy! The Bear Springs Hotel Bistro & Lounge is not just for hotel guests. It's a go to spot for locals, vacationers and those visiting the Yaamava Casino. Check it out.
