I've been here 4 years and have been searching high and low for anything Haitian (other than the art and square downtown) and was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by to grab coffee and saw Haitian baked goods. As a Haitian, this place is the real deal! The pate (meat turnovers) were SO good. This place needs more attention. There are eleven fresh squeezed juices and other baked goods go vegetarians and vegans. Very cool! I met the owner, and she is so lovely. We had a great conversation and her energy is divine. It's been a while since I've visited. I'll check prices and post an update. The bread here is fresh -- not day-old -- and discounted enough to make it worth a visit, especially since the store in Savannah closed last year. You'll find everything from the whitest white bread to the possibly more wholesome Dave's Killer Bread. I don't recall seeing any gluten-free options. There are sweet snack cakes, honey buns, potato chips, hot dog rolls and hamburger buns. They have the usual eight packs as well as larger ones perfect for cookouts. I even found jars of plum jelly there a few times. It's a no-frills spot for a Savannah favorite and snacks you wind find at Kroger.

Doesn't top my Turtle, but still delicious. I've tried macarons from other places--local and out of town, and no one compares. And the staff are always so friendly!

He loved the sandwich. I quoted the lox, because it has become a generic name people give to smoked salmon. The truth is it was nova. Lox is very salty and when I saw that was the only option, I was confident it wouldn't be salty. It wasn't. The sandwich was perfect. They have 2 options, platter or just the opened face sandwich. The open faced sandwich was a little less money and it was nice to see an option without paying platter price. They didn't skimp on the salmon. I ended up taking the other 1/2 back to hotel any my husband and I shared the next morning. I call the portion enough for 2 or for just my kid who loves smoked salmon. The morning we left Savannah we got a bagel with "lox" for my daughter and one for me to share with my husband. He got a bagel with lox spread and then took 1/2 my salmon and we both had plenty. Service was friendly and it's quick serve. The size is small but was very clean. It's definitely not the delis I am used to, but the bagels were great and the prices are reasonable. And when I stepped up to the counter to review the menu, everyone was really nice. I quickly scanned the menu, and it was great to see a variety of bagels that they offered. So I proceeded to order my favorite ... a bacon, egg, and cheese ... and selected a multigrain bagel. Bingo! The flavors were all there, all on a fresh bagel!
