If people on Wilmington Island, GA think this is good pizza, then they don't have any idea of how great pizza can really be. And, in that regard, the only really great pizza to be found anywhere in the entire USA can be found in NY, NJ and CT. In these three states, but especially the closer you get to NYC, the pizza is THE BEST to be found anywhere. The reasons, you ask? There are several and one is the water in the northeastern USA. The second major reason is that too many pizzerias outside the NY Metro area make their crusts too thick, don't cook them to a crispy brown and then roll the edges like you see in so many of the pictures you see posted here for ISLAND'S PIZZA. The pizzas at ISLAND's PIZZAs exhibit all of the really noticeable negatives that pizza aficionados will notice immediately. Another real negative is that the pizza sauce itself is too sweet and tastes like it came directly out of a can. To add further insult to injury is that they lard on far too much cheese and the mozzarella they use is not of a high quality. You can better tasting pizza than this junk in a Sbarro's in a mall or airport food court. Before I'd recommend this place to anyone, I'd suggest they buy a frozen pizza from the Kroger or Publix supermarkets on Wilmington Island. I must admit I am a pizza snob and the pies from this place don't even approach what I consider mediocre. It may be OK for the denizens of Wilmington Island, GA, but where I'm from, I'd be embarrassed to serve this dreck to anyone I know and would much rather do without pizza than eat this swill. read more

Pizza and breadsticks were very rubbery. I could gnaw on a breadstick because the cheese was so rubbery. It really did not taste good at all. It also had this sort of sour taste-maybe the sauce? Ordered a dessert that was listed as "big!!". It was a tiny piece and not worth the price. I called and the girl said that I received the correct large size but it definitely was anything but large. I'd hate to see what the small size looked like. It also did not taste good either. The lemon taste was very faint and didn't seem that fresh. Very disappointed with this place. It was our first and last visit. Sure wish I would have selected another pizza place on the island. There are much better choices available. So don't waste your money. The only pro was that they had a quick delivery but it was some random lady that was not dressed like an employee. read more

2019 update. They have greatly improved their breadsticks. Whenever we order pizza, we get it from Islands! The flavors are amazing and the prices are affordable. I suggest their $5 cheese pizza for kids and their cheeseburger pizza for adults. YUM! read more

So, I have to start off by pointing out that I JUST moved here yesterday and that I chose to order from Jennoely's simply because I heard great things about them from my roommates. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but. I ordered a Large Pizza and two desserts and excitedly awaited the delivery while I continued to unpack and clean up the house. The food came, we tipped the driver and we sat the food in the living room to return to it at a more optimal time. (as we were elbows deep in kitchen goop and shipping boxes) About an hour later, we sat down and opened the pizza to see that it looked like half a pizza next to a mass of disaster. My guess was that it got knocked around or knocked over in the car ride over. (For reference, here's an image: http://imgur.com/3B8pPjJ ) Saddened, but not one to get down on something so simple, I figured a healthy bit of criticism was due and chose to call the pizza place and file a complaint. While an apology and a replacement would have made my day and corrected the initial rough experience into a great one (because the desserts were pretty good), I got something quite less pleasant. First, the manager (or owner, perhaps?) said that she would send the driver back to take our pizza and then would send us one. I was okay with this, no problem here. Then, the driver showed up minutes later to take the pizza back to the place, first. Okay, that's strange I thought but I can deal with that. Next, I get the most unbelievable phone call. The manager/owner calls me back and begins to blame US for the mistake. Saying that we "...MUST have dropped the pizza" and accusingly asking us why we would call back an hour after the fact. I explained that we just moved in and, obviously, stuff is hectic here right now. She continued to push the blame, stating that it was definitely one of us, to which I declared that it went from the door, to the table. No where else. She rudely replied that she would send one back out and abruptly hung up the phone on me. Is that what they consider good customer service? That same person was the one to meet me at the door with the new pizza, to which she retorted my door opening with, "You want to check that before I leave?" Real classy, indeed. It's a shame that the pizza was actually pretty good, because I will not be doing business with these people ever again and I will be sure to spread the word, accordingly. Perhaps, in the future, assume responsibility for a mistake before you immediately point the finger at the same people who are CHOOSING to support your business. It's not a very smart business decision, now is it? read more

I don't know whether they've had a change of cooks or are just trying to save money, but the quality of our most recent order was unacceptable. We ordered 2 Stombolis, which we've had previously, and they were mostly just dough with sparse protein. In the past their stromboli and pizza have been good, but our most recent order seriously fell short. While their dough is tasty, the stromboli needs to be more than that and a little cheese. I do like to see independent restaurants succeed, and support them with my patronage, but this order wasn't up to par. We will give them 1 more shot, but if the quality is anything like our most rexent order, it will be our last. read more

I used to love this place when it was Jennolys! Great food and great service! We ordered what I thought would be super easy. A pizza and a Hawaii Salad, and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. The crust on the pizza was tough, but edible. The salad which was supposed to have a few types of fruit and Romain lettuce. What was delivered was mostly lettuce, no pineapple, coconut, or mandarin oranges ~ the bread sticks were so tough I couldn't eat them. The cookies were scorched on top, I'm sure they half bake them and then toss them in under a broiler to finish them. I won't be ordering from them again. Long time customer originally. Always takes longer for delivery than the chains but never minded that. Always tip 20%. Prepay. Then tonight...not only did it take an hour for my prepaid order...but when it came the chicken wings were bloody. I called and asked to speak with a manager. The girl who answered the phone said that she was the manager. I told her about the bloody chicken. She said it was impossible for our wings to be undercooked as they cook them 100 at a time and therefore, 10 could not possibly be undercooked. I explained that however they are cooked, I know blood when I see it. She then proceeded to argue with me and called me a liar. She also accused me of being rude with the driver; which I most certainly was not. I have had multiple deliveries over the last couple of years from this business and never once had an issue with the drivers or the food. She still was argumentative and aggressive with a very hostile attitude AND was answering the phone and taking other orders while she was speaking with me. Never had I ever had such rude and downright hostile attitude from any local business. Let alone one that I am a regular patron of. Attached are photos of the bloody wings. Which I was called a liar over. So upset that I prepaid and gave a 20% tip ahead of time. Never again. read more

This is a delivery only website. The address will land you 200 feet from a boat ramp parking lot in the middle of the woods. The online site asks for a zip code and always gives a "soonest delivery time" of tomorrow at 4:30. With the bad address and the out of order website, I'm thinking this place is no more but maybe someone from the company could comment. read more

This is the best pizza I've had in town since Pizza Rustica on Bull St. closed (Rustica was still better). They use great cheese (and lots of it), I've always been happy with the toppings, and the staff have always been friendly. I was surprised to read other negative reviews, although I've never had pizza delivered (I've always picked it up) so maybe they're just bad with delivery. If you're looking for the best pizza on and around Wilmington Island, this is it. read more

Worst customer service ever. We ordered delivery and got a burnt pizza - black cheese and edges. When I called to complain it took 15 mins for someone to make a decision (was told I had to wait until the owner came in from a delivery and they didn't know when that would be!). Finally, the "manager" came on, was extremely rude to me, insisted I was wrong, the pizza was NOT burnt, even when I told her it was black. She agreed to send a new pizza and then hung up on me. An hour later, a new pizza came. She continued to insist that a pizza with black cheese was normal and that we were wrong and it was because "we island people are a bunch of snobs". I have bought pizza from here since they first opened. When the owners were there it was all good. Delicious food. Great service. Now they have hoodlums running their store. The last 3 orders I have placed with them they have gotten my order wrong; . Every time I have called and spoken to them they are accusatory like I'm trying to scam them for $7 when I already spent $80??! No..maybe I just expect my order to be right?! Yes, they sent out a new pizza...and it was still wrong. When the driver delivered the second pizza, I handed her the first one, which did have 2 slices taken out of it. I was feeding about 10 people, we were hungry after waiting an hour for our food and for them to correct it. She immediately opened the box when I handed it to her and yelled twice 'this is supposed to be a whole pizza!'. Then when I told her I would never order from them again she screamed 'don't talk to me that way' and stormed off to her car. ?? Even my kids who saw and heard the whole thing were confused. Zero stars if I could. Take a minute to read this please! We have been long time customers of Jennoely's Pizza and have never had a single complaint, ever. Until now.....About 1 week ago we ordered 2 large pizzas, they were delivered on time and still warm/hot. The pizzas were sooo greasy it was awful. One of them was inedible it was so bad. The crust had turned to complete mush. The other pizza was not much better but we were able to eat it. So in all fairness I called to notify them right away of the one pizza that we could not eat and they said no problem, we will credit you one pizza on the next order. Next order: about 5 minutes ago: I called to go ahead and make another order and use my one credit. It turns out that my $14 pizza ($22 on regular price) I ordered now only had a $7 credit. I spoke with the girl handling the order and tried to make basic math out of our order and credit, she understood and I could sense she was uncomfortable so I asked to speak with her manager. This lady got on the phone and argued with me! she said it was impossible for me to get a greasy pizza, that their topping don't have grease! (toppings were: bacon, ham, BBQ, Chicken, Pineapple and obviously cheese). I began to fall into her trap and argue but as soon as I began to speak she just hung up on me. Real professional, way to keep your long term customers happy.Congratulations for trying to act like Roxy From Savannah Oyster House. I'll start by saying that I like the pizza here--it's very tasty. However, the quality of the food isn't the only thing that makes a restaurant. I've been living on the island for about a year now, and we've ordered from here at least a few times a month. However, a majority of these orders have been wrong or have had some other issue. We have stopped ordering pizzas that were half and half, as that could reasonably cause problems. However, the problems continued. The wait times for the pizza were twice as long as they were said, or the pizzas were just completely wrong (e.g., toppings or crust). We have either had to just eat the incorrect orders, or drive back to the restaurant, wait for the corrected order, and then drive back. We've have never received anything but a half-hearted "sorry." In one instance, we were flat out told that we were wrong and that there was nothing wrong wrong with our order. I usually support mom and pop businesses, but in this case, they have lost my business. I don't foresee ordering from them again anytime soon. read more
