I've always been a Vinnie go-gos customer, I recently moved back to Savannah after 3 long years in Atlanta. A couple weeks I was in the mood for pizza, I didn't want to drive downtown and stopped into Vincenzo's, I'm what you call a pizza snob, my family is from Philly and New Jersey and owned pizzerias up there ( I'm grew up here). I originally walked in and was like "hell no", but the friendly young man who answered our questions, changed my mind. The food is excellent. Ordered some of their specialty pizzas was given one prince online then when we picked up the order it was a higher price, when asked why it was more I was told because they had to charge for extra toppings. There aren't enough words in the human vocabulary to express how happy me and my family are to have found Vincenzo's Pizzeria. We're originally from NJ/NY, so it's been very difficult to found good authentic pizza similar to what we know from home. OMG! After taking that first bite of that slice. I said to myself "say it isn't so". They are located in the heart of Savannah, but they definitely give their customers a NJ/NY experience if you've never been. The decor is very up north and feels like home. It's a family owned business and the customer service there is top notch. If you are in the need for some great pizza. This pizza spot happened to be a few blocks from the hotel where I stopped for the night on my way north from Tampa to northern Virginia. I placed the order by phone with a really friendly employee who helped me decide which sauce to get on the wings. My order was pretty simple - a cheese and pepperoni Stromboli and a dozen mild buffalo wings. The food was very fresh when it was delivered to my car and the two people who I interacted with were both very friendly. The restaurant is taking COVID-19 precautions seriously - all staff were masked - and all food is delivered to you curbside, which I appreciate. The food was delicious. The wings were crisp with flavorful sauce and really good ranch dressing. The stromboli was full of mozzarella cheese and pepperoni and came with a generous side of delicious and hot pizza sauce. If I lived in Savannah I'd definitely add Vincenzo's to my takeout rotation. read more

Just wanted to leave these guys five stars. I ordered from a website that said they were open when in reality they weren't. They prepared my order and informed me they had been waiting for me to pick it up. I told them "it's all right, you guys can just keep the money I'll be all right" since it was already 30 mins past closing time. I get a call about 15 minutes after and it's the owner saying he's outside my complex with the pizza. Gave it to me and honestly made my whole week by just showing that great of customer service. We're visiting for a month and took a chance on Vincenzo's Pizzeria. When our 1st order was mistakenly switched with someone else's (discovered once we got home), a call to them was all it took. They were very apologetic and offered a new one at any time. We picked up our replacement pizza a week later and it's do deliciou!! We needed a GF crust, and it's truly one of the best! Just finished my meal and had to write this review right away, it was so good! I am in town from LA, visiting my grandma in savannah, so I was looking for a quick bite. Found this place thru yelp and decided to try it since it was right around the corner, and I'm so glad I did! I had the baked ziti, which came with a side salad and garlic bread. I'm a little picky with ziti, some can be a bit dry, but this one is on the money!!! Seriously, I'm full but I can't stop going back for more it's so delicious! First, the pizza took over an hour to deliver... then the pizza had no flavor... we ordered a bacon and spinach pizza. There was hardly ANY spinach on it and excessive amounts of bacon. What spinach that was on there was dried up - they didnt even put it under the cheese (have they ever made a spinach pizza before?!?). The sauce has no real flavor, nor the crust. Why, oh why, do some shops think that slicing Italian sausage for a sah-sidge sangweesh a good idea? The beauty of a well-cooked link, charred a bit on the outside, juicy on the inside, with a good snap to the bite-it's a wonderful thing. The hoagie was tasty, with lots of green peppers and onions sautéed nicely, soft but not limp or mushy, but it could have been so much better... . Erin got a meatball hoagie which was tasty. The meatballs were a little too heavy on filler, but they were moist and held together well. The sauce was good, not bland but not overly spiced. The fries were battered, and when we opened the styrofoam container they came in they all stuck together. That's what happens when you use battered potatoes. Good fries are so easy to make, why don't so many spots get it wrong? All of that being said, we will order from Vincenzo's again. I'll just order something other than the sausage hoagie and leave the fries alone. Pluses outweighed minuses. I'm critical in my reviews, but that's because I'm hoping the owners read them and at least consider my suggestions. read more

I love the fact that these guys are still here. The quality and and freshness is always consistent. I've been to multiple functions in which they catered and was impressed. Now that I'm living back on the southside I've become sort of a regular of the delivery service. If we are running short on time or watching a game the wings and pizza always satisfy. The only negative so far was the toasted ravioli. The best things from here though are the classic Italian dishes. The chicken Parmesan over spaghetti and lasagna or two of our favorites. My grandmother was not Italian but she made my favorite spaghetti growing up. The recipes at Vincenzo's take me back to that. The delivery is always expedient and prices are reasonable. The fact that it's a local business makes this a no-brainer when compared to the Olive Garden's and Carraba's around the corner. read more
