We have been going to Trink's for over a decade. It is ok and has it's ups and downs. Today we had lunch and it was disappointing. French fries were soggy (a sin in my book). Fried chicken sando was overcooked and dry while also being greasy. Salad had some wilted bits. Slaw had no flavor at all. The birria dip was tasty but the pot of red dipping grease on the plate was cray-cray - simply grease. My espresso shot was too sour to drink so they generously remade it twice but it only improved marginally. The barista didn't seem to have much understanding of how to adjust the grind to correct sourness. Oh well. The pastries look nice, as always. Service is lovely. Amazing local cafe, restaurant + little shop w/ refrigerated & pantry items. We stopped by for lunch to-go and we were absolutely thrilled with the quality of the food. The fried chicken wrap w/ fries & the breakfast sandwich were so fresh and delicious. Top notch "hand cut" French fries. While we waited for our food I browsed the shelves and fridges. Lots of lovely local products, high quality meat, soups, take & bake dishes and more! Unfortunately, our cooler was fully packed, so we had to hold off on snagging a container of pozole to go. We'll definitely be back though. Gualala is a lovely town and we thoroughly enjoyed our oceanfront picnic just 15 seconds down the road. read more

Recently relocated to TSR and met some friends here for a quick breakfast. Only had a coffee and scone but the seating area is lovely, you walk up order pay and they drop your stuff to the table. Baked goods came in a box which was weird but we sorted it out. Scones were tasty. Coffee was average. Given the lack of options - decent place. Upon arriving my friend and I ordered our food separately, she ahead of me she had breakfast. I ordered a burger no big deal. We went and sat down put our little number out. Her breakfast came and I told her not to wait. I didn't want it to get cold. Then I find a waitress and ask where is my burger.? And she said let me go check, she checks and comes back and says they're making it now. Meanwhile, my friend is almost done with her breakfast. Then they finally bring me my burger, which I had ordered medium well Because I did not want it pink all the way through. And it was pink all the way through and sauced all down my front and the french fries were pretty tasty but soft. So I give them the burger and they take it back and they're gonna re-cook it, I didn't really get that but I thought under California code you're supposed to re-cook nothing you weren't supposed to put a new burger on the grill. At any rate, they brought back the burger with a bite out of it, cooked a little longer and then thrown back together. The french fries were ice cold by then. Trinks is a beautiful little cafe with amazing food, pastries, and outstanding views of the ocean! They have indoor and outdoor seating available that is dog-friendly! All the scrumptious pastries and desserts are made fresh, and you can smell the aromas when you walk in! Literally, everything on the menu is made with such care and attention to detail. We love Trinks so much that we visited for both breakfast and lunch! For breakfast, the Ham Breakfast Sandwich took the cake! For lunch, definitely try the Local Grass-Fed Beef Burger! A pretty sea-side cafe with a great range of tasty and filling sandwiches, with pies and pastries to die for! Cherry pie is our top pick, but the mixed berry looked just as juicy delicious. I love Trinks fried chicken sandwich. It's delicious! The outdoor patio is heated and cozy. Orders are taken at the counter where you pay for your meal, get a number and a friendly wait team member delivers it to your table. Trinks is so quaint and cozy and such a beautiful view outside, but it just fell short of my hopes compared to other visits. The service was pretty mediocre and extremely slow. They had a lot of people working, but they all seemed to be standing in the back talking and not really making an effort to give quick service. I ordered two breakfast sandwiches, an iced chai latte, and a hot chai latte, but apparently when I ordered the iced chai latte second l they thought I was switching the hot to iced, when the hot was for my fiancé who was standing with me, so they only rang us up for one coffee and while we should've noticed, she probably should've paid more attention while I ordered considering I said one chai latte and another chai latte iced. But oh well. The chai latte was ATROCIOUS. It was not drinkable, do not order it. I cannot believe how disgusting it was. The sandwiches were a glorified breakfast sandwich from McDonald's, but add mayo. Yuck. Absolutely not worth $16 a sandwich or whatever the chai latte cost. I was only in Sea Ranch for three days, but managed to come here twice because it was such a good experience! Not only is the view amazing, but the food is too. We stopped by Trinks for a quick brunch before heading to Sea Ranch to watch some family members golf. It was a great way to start the day. We walked in, ordered at the counter, and grabbed a seat indoors. They have an outdoor patio as well as outdoor seating but it was a bit windy so we opted to sit indoors. Tucked away in a back corner, you might pass it by. It's a great local breakfast and coffee joint. It's counter order, so get in line and decide what you want while you wait. We had the coffee, pancakes, "Big Boy" breakfast and Aztec Mochas. The pancakes were amazing, as was the home fried red potatoes. The Aztec mocha was very cinnamony, and had a spicy kick. The outdoor seating overlooking the ocean was wonderful. The prices are high, but for a touristy place it's not the worst I've seen. We picked Trinks for brunch as they were one of the few restaurants with ample outdoor seating. They have a bunch of tables near the main entrance and also in the back with a water view. We tried the burger, black bean burger, breakfast sandwich, and cherry pie. The burger was solid with a thick flavorful patty and soft sweet potato bun. The potato bun tasted more like a mix of brioche and a Hawaiian sweet roll that was super soft and paired well. Things to note: 1. When ordering they did not seem to limit the number of guests inside at a time. 2. Everything we ate here was amazing. We had a yummy lunch - quinoa black bean burger and blackened chicken on ciabatta, both served with deliciously crispy French fries. We were too full to eat our carrot cake which we took with us for later. Just finished it - one of the best ever - moist and generously iced with cream cheese frosting. A gem of a little cafe in the small town of Gualala along Highway 1. It was past lunch and just about the time when we were craving some coffee and snacks. We decided to check out this place and were very impressed with our find. At 4pm it was full of people, dining inside and outside. The customers were people of all ages and that's because the cafe offers lunch, desserts, coffee and other beverages. Here's what we ordered: 1. Aztec coffee (with a hint of chili pepper and cinnamon) 2. Chocolate espresso cake 3. Chocolate salted caramel cookie 4. Chocolate cream pie Needless to say, our plates were licked clean and the coffee was great. Stopped here after hiking in Salt Point SP on the way to Mendocino. Excellent quinoa/black bean burgers (flavor and consistency were just right!) and the desserts were impossible to choose from (they all looked SO GOOD), but we got a slice of cherry pie with whipped cream, and it was delicious. We had such a terrible experience at The Ranch Cafe that we resorted to come here for coffee and to our surprise, we were happily surprised! The staff was kind, smiling, the baked goods were fresh and healthy/good and most of all, the seating area overlooking the water was just what we needed.. a little serene spot!
