My family and I dropped by this place for some lunch and was surprised when we found the outdoor seating. We came here during covid times so it was all outdoor seat. All tables were far apart from each other and had a beautiful sunny view towards the ocean. They allow 2 people per party to enter inside and one must wear a mask to be served. We ordered quite a few things - a pumpkin spice latte, latte, salmon flat bread ($16), blackened chicken sandwich, local burger, a side of fries ($5) and griddle plate. I was surprised at how great all the food tasted. Sometimes when we travel to local sea side locations the food is pretty much for tourists and are subpar. This place was phenomenal! I ate the smoked salmon flat bread topped with avocado, and 2 eggs with your choice of style. I had mine sunny side up. My boyfriend got their local farm raised burger and the patty was HUGE. My mom tried the blackened chicken sandwich and thought it was good. For the total we paid about $76. There were quite a few people there but service was overall pretty quick and friendly. The woman was super sweet and gave us a quick breakdown on terms of what she would recommend. They also have a restroom in the back with a lockpad but very clean when entered. They also offer different soups that are refigerated/frozen and they also sell whole cakes! I think this is a great place to visit for a quick breakfast, lunch or snack! If you're asking a specific question about coming here, the answer is: whatever you're hoping to confirm that you will go. I got the Friday dinner bonus menu item -- a crispy spicy fried chicken sandwich.... I fell in love. The house cut fries cried with joy just to commingle with this glorious sandwich. Wow. Wow. Wow. We've been to the area at least a dozen times. We've always stopped by, for a little snack, and it's always been great. But this last visit, blew us AWAY! Let's start with the whole peach pie. Thick, flaky crust. Semi-sweet peaches. Absolutely perfection. You get the glass pie plate and all, if returned, you get money back. It's huge and serves 10+, for $30 you cannot go wrong! Now onto the cookies: our two favorite, the chocolate sea salt caramel. Little chocolate nuggets with a dollop of caramel inside. Slightly salty and so good, you'll go back for more. Don't skimp, just buy them all! Next, the ginger molasses cookies. Chewy, flavorful, chunks of ginger. They were perfect with a hot cup of tea while admiring the pristine ocean waves of the Sea Ranch area. Lastly, we preordered a cake. Chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, chocolate frosting. It was 6", but 4 layers. It was the moistest, semi-sweet, delight of a cake I have ever had! Every single one of us was awe-struck. It was so good, we even found a way to Travel home with it... OMG! Delicious food. I had the veggie breakfast sandwich, which was amazing. And the bread was so fresh. I ordered a house made Chai Latte with Oat Milk. I've tried a lot of Chai's, but I have to say, their's is one of my favorite. It was full of flavor with cinnamon sprinkled on top, yet perfectly balanced, not too sweet or overly spicy. For a treat after breakfast I had the mixed berry pie. It was warmed up with whipped cream on top. It was probably the best pie I've ever had! This place lives up to it's reputation. So first, the COVID report. There was good distancing and signage with some hand sanitizer, but having said that, I don't think they're doing a great job of wiping down table tops. Maybe bring some wipes just in case. There was decent distant seating and everyone was friendly - the service was really good. Okay, now about the food. I had the smoked salmon flatbread breakfast with two eggs. It was incredibly flavorful with a hot sauce that I think was homemade or doctored. Really, really good. If I had any complaint, their homemade flatbread seemed like it needed a little more crunch. But, all the fixings of this dish was amazing - capers, onions, sauce, eggs, salmon. Just wow. I ordered a Mocha - they topped with cinnamon. Hello? Now my absolute ask with every mocha I'll ever order. My wife ordered a ham and bacon sandwich for breakfast w floppy bacon - sounds simple, right? We've been coming up to sea ranch for a couple years with my partners parents and have always stopped by here for coffee. This time was the first time we tried the breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast tacos we ordered. They were a bit spicy due to the chorizo. In this little cute town of Gualala Cali everyone recommended this spot. They mentioned that they had the best coffee and let me tell you they were right. You must try the coffee ! I had an Americano with , Splenda, cinnamon powder and cream! It was amazing. Staff was nice. We got scold for not wearing a mask. Bring your mask they will not provide you one. I got the breakfast with potatoes and bacon sourdough and two eggs sunny side up it was delicious. My husband had a chicken fried sandwich that he did not quite enjoy. We popped in on a whim trying to find access to a trail to the ocean. I decided I needed a pastry and coffee and didn't think I would find such an adorable cafe with wine and cheese, pre made dinners, and fresh meat - along with baked goods! The kids and I decided on scones: raspberry chocolate, blueberry lemon, and ginger. Kids had hot chocolate and I had coffee. we decided to rate our experience a 4 because if you go through the effort of providing such a wonderful retail experience, the least you could do is make a decent hot chocolate using hot milk instead of water. How have I not written a review for our favorite sit down breakfast spot in Sea Ranch? Trinks is a breakfast and lunch spot where you order at the counter, snag a table, then wait on your food to be brought by wait staff. They have a great breakfast and lunch menu. I regularly go there with diners who are omnivores, vegetarians, and gluten-free and all can get great meals here. I think the lentil breakfast bowl with a side of sausage/bacon is a hidden gem. On weekends, they usually have a chorizo breakfast taco special that is delish. Even though it gets busy on weekends, you can almost always grab a table after ordering and food comes fast. During covid, we call in our order and pay ahead of time and take the food back home. Can't say enough great things about the staff and food here. read more

We had Trinks delivered to the house we stayed in at Sea Ranch this past week. Yes, you read that right. Delivered! We've been coming to Sea Ranch for 15 years for me and 35 years for my husband and this was a first. It was just a $15 delivery fee and came right when they said it would. We wanted to support local business while up here, but are most comfortable with delivery during the pandemic, so this was a very pleasant surprise. As for the food, the cold soba noodle salad with fresh Dungeness crab was hands down my favorite dish and was a very generous portion. I had it for lunch the next day too. The ribs and fried chicken sandwich were tasty as well. Highly recommend delivery while you're up here on Wednesdays and Fridays! Just check out the rotating menus they publish on their website. We came here two days in a row. A local spot with great baked goodies and everything local and organic. The scones are really amazing. We tried the ginger and ham & Swiss. They are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The tuna melt was deeeeelicious! I'm not a fan of salad but their salad is even good. Their dressing really makes it, plus it's not just lettuce. There are radishes, carrots, tomatoes and cucumbers. On Sunday wanted to try their fries but no fries were available. Sad. Best baked goods on the coast! The grass fed Richardson burger is delicious and the cows come from down the road. We actually saw some of them getting rounded up on Highway 1 a couple of weeks ago. Trink's is gluten-free and vegan friendly! Pop in to buy local soups and meat to go in their fridges. They are comparably priced to those found in the Bay Area. This is the most reliable, busy and tasty place in Mendonoma. Other restaurants come and go, but Trink's has outlasted many of the eating establishments in Gualala. read more

This place is so good, we went twice in one trip. The first time we popped in around lunch. They seem pretty busy most days, but the line was never very long. The hubs got a BLT that had smoked salmon in it. This thing was amazing!!!!!!! So good. I got a turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce. This was pretty good, but not as good as the BLTS. I also had a quinoa corn salad that was also super tasty. The second time, we came in for breakfast. They had pancakes, so my husband wanted to have those... He said they were really good, especially with the homemade blackberry jam that they have at the tables. I had the everything bagel and lox - I don't think they had this on the menu, but I figured they probably had it, so I asked. They basically give it to you and you assemble - They give you the lox, bagel, cream cheese, capers, onions, and wedge of lime. They're smoked salmon is super good. Loved this. Trinks is a slice of heaven on earth. Gualala. Trinks. The works. It is the only place in Gualala that has wifi that I know of. The cookies and tarts are fantastic. The coffees are great. Have your treats on their patio. It's the only way to soak in the view and the ocean. Lots of flowers and herbs in bloom. I have not let many in on this secret yet, but I think Gualala being one of the southernest part of the Mendo coastal towns, is a bit like Bergen minus the fjords. The ocean is untainted, the trees are greener, the restaurants and cafes are more casual and people are super friendly. Every bit of Northern European coastal town if you ask me.
