Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Interior/Access/Geo 3/5 Value 2/5 I really want to be 5 stars about this place, but the fact of the matter is while the sandwiches are delicious and staff are friendly and helpful, $9.25+ is just way too expensive for a sandwich that isn't busting at the seams with meat or is in some other way shape or form special. These are delicious $7.00 sandwiches, not $9.25+ A near 2 star review, but plenty of people have previously written about and lamented on how their sandwiches used to be bigger/more generous and cheaper. Ownership apparently decided to take more margin from customers, and I just can't write a review that doesn't reflect that. Service is really good and helpful, lots of grocery item selection. Prices for groceries are also heavily inflated. Tip: Parking is free and typically available inside the parking deck right next to the market. read more

Trinity Market is the best! My bf and I come in here all the time for snacks, sandwiches or last minute items. They're also open pretty late so they are perfect when you need some late muchies but don't want to hike very far. I think the prices are really reasonable. For the most part, items are comparable to other local stores. Obviously there is a slight mark up because it's a small mart but it's nothing outrageous. For the size, the selection is also really vast. You can get fancy beer, household goods, and a sandwich all in one spot. They also have a good selection of seasonal items they rotate. The customer service is also EXCELLENT. Never had a bad experience and we've gone at all hours, slow and busy, sober and drunk and are always warmly welcomed and serviced quickly. Basic hole in the wall marketplace with pretty much everything you'll need. Prices are on the pricey end but that is expected from places such as these. The coffee here is ok, I would recommend going to another location within a few blocks for better coffee though. read more

At first I felt Like the options going here were good. GF Bread options, lots of sandwiches and decent store selection. As time wore on though, the service and pricing became more and more of an issue. They buy almost everything from stores like costco and sell the costco version rather than an actual commercial source, they just make it more convenient for you. That comes at a cost though, Everything is double the price of costco which is expected but all of their items are about +30% higher than the two gas stations nearby with mini marts. The service is the real issue though. They apply the city taxes improperly, they don't update their prices, and have lots of missing labels and mis-shelved goods, and the older fellow in the evening NEVER checks the text message sandwich orders... Despite this I still occasionally go in and buy the 2 for blank gas station style deals on drinks, get a sandwich and a bag of chips. They almost never give me a bag, this makes the trek to the office very difficult and today when I lost one of the drinks due to not having a bag it was the last straw. If you go and see one of the younger guys at the register they typically bag your goods for you right away, but if the older fellow who talks under his breath and looks insulted when you don't understand him is there which he typically is in the evenings you might as well walk out and forget it!!! read more

A market that has everything in the University District. This market has a coffee barista and deli as well as a large selection of anything that you happen to need. Although it is pricey, they have everything that you may have forgotten. They have a large selection of alcoholic beverages and they even have fresh vegetables available. Sometimes they even have kim chee. They pretty much have everything basic that you need and more. They even have a few tables for you to relax or take a break. Have been here on many occasions and will frequent it as long as they are in business. read more

I said "No, thanks" since it was going in my bag for later...but then got a little self conscious, worried that he thought I liked dirty apples. An acquaintance in one of my "Affiliate" circles is known for knowing everything that's great in the U-district area. And he's been right enough times in his estimations that it pays to heed his advice. Although when he tried to pass along Trinity Market as having the best sandwiches he'd had in Seattle, I dropped a side-eye + 1/2 roll and explained that I stan for I Love New York Deli*. However, in my quest to locate quality places to grab a bite as close to 40th ave ne as possible, I dropped by one afternoon to see what all the fuss was about. After scoping the other Yelp reviews, I wasn't expecting much. But when I walked inside and started looking around, I started laughing. First of all, the selection is crazy good. I explored a good 10-15 minutes and kept finding more stuff on subsequent visits. Trinity Market is probably the best corner store/lunch spot in the area - the only problem is that it's almost too small. By that I mean the store is just shy of cramped; more than two people in an aisle will be problematic. But the little seating area in the back is perfect for a quiet lunch while reading the paper. Secondly, yes the pricing is a little high. But it's Convenience Store High. Essentially, it's the convenience tax you pay for being too lazy to stroll up to Safeway 7 blocks up or visit 3 different places to get everything you need. And honestly, the wine selection is probably better - at least for reds. Lastly: service was great. Within 3 visits the cashier knew my name and calling ahead means my sandwich is ready (and still warm) by the time I get there. Oh, and yes - my sandwich is consistently delicious. They get their tea from Remedy on Capitol Hill, oh - AND they serve breakfast sandwiches. WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE WANT? I really wish that there's a place like Trinity Market near where I live. A one place stop for anything you need, it's open late and offers fresh sandwiches. My guilty pleasures are ice cream and Tim's Hawaiian BBQ chips and cold IPAs. They also serve up some great coffee. I'm so glad I was able to stop by here for their sandwiches. I tried three times before to no avail because they were either closed or just ran out. Their sandwiches are amazing. I had their breakfast sandwich with bacon and Vermont cheddar on wheat bread. It was delicious.. This place makes me wish I wish I lived in Seattle. They have a great selection of beer and wine. I have to come back for a visit to this place along with 3 other places next year... My only complaint is that they don't ship sandwiches overnight to folks who are from out of town...Haha! ;0) read more

This is one of those places that I've always treated as a convenience store - a place I go to get stuff not sold at Trader Joe's or if I just don't want to walk all the way to the store. However, I finally decided to try a sandwich there (the beautiful chalkboard menu was calling my name!) and it was SO. GOOD. I went with "The Bird," a turkey/bacon sandwich with cranberry sauce. Simple, but delicious. I've also heard great things about their breakfast sandwiches. While they tend to be out of items (today they had no Goldfish crackers... meh) and it generally takes a while for the cashier to acknowledge your presence, I'm really glad this market exists and will probably be hitting it up for more deli delights in the near future. read more

This place deserves 10 stars out of 5!! We were promptly assisted by very friendly and caring employees. The sandwiches are amazing but more than that, Robert is incredible! He is very considerate and loyal to the customers. He gave us every possible thing we could imagine. We didn't have to get up once (as he would grab everything for us and offer utensils, etc) after sitting down in the table area in the back. He provided us with outstanding and unexpected customer service. We had a great experience and will definitely be coming back! Not to mention they have an extensive amount of groceries with unique limited time flavors of popular foods that I haven't even heard of! read more

This place is a little convenient store plus a sandwich shop. The sandwiches are good and unique. We had the U-Dub Dipper and the Trinity. The Dipper is a bit dry, even with the dipping sauce. The trinity was very good. Personally, I'd like a little more meat on my sandwiches, especially for the price i paid. That'd be my only complaint: its a bit pricey. read more

My co-worker raved about this place so one day we stopped in for lunch. I ordered the veggie Ruben and it was so good. The delicious bread was toasted and filled with slices of vegetarian meat and a great sauce. Initially, I was skeptical because it is a mini mart. But there is seating in the back. You can get drinks and sides. They are fast and good. Can't wait to try their other sandwiches. read more

I can only speak from using the deli's services, but what I've experienced so far has been good. The person at the register was so cordial and professional--it was really nice. Like others have said, it's pricey, but it's definitely worth it if you want to treat yourself to a good sandwich while you're in the area. If you can, or if you're in a rush, text the phone number (206) 659-2854 (the same as in the photo above) and send your sandwich order and name in advance. I ordered in the morning and it was ready within 15 minutes of me sending the text (it could have been finished earlier but it took me 15 minutes to get there). Can't believe I'm reviewing this place. I come here when I visit friends who live in the Trinity apartments and when I don't want to walk all the way to Trader Joe's/Safeway to get the bare grocery essentials. It's a mom/pop place so things are a bit more expensive. Fruits and vegetables are never to be trusted. But aside from that, they have everything you'd need to survive. I'll return frequently. Part deli, part grocery store, part convenience store. Awesome. I work just down the street from this place, so it's my go-to for getting a quick snack and drink (plus 99 cent drinks are cheaper then the vending machine and gve me and excuse to go outside.) Their sandwiches are delicious-- I really like the turkey/bacon/cranberry one. It gets a little crowded at lunchtime because a lot of people come in to get food, but the waiting area and line to pay all kind of meld together. Groceries are limited, but they might have what you need. When my parents stayed across the street, my mom was able to get cream for her coffee, and she loved that. Good Mom and Pop store. Prices are average. On some items, like the Arrogant Bastard Ale are actually cheaper at the Trinity Market than at the Safeway at 50th and Brooklyn or the QFC 45th and Wallingford (4.99 as opposed to around $6 at Safeway or QFC.) I love Trinity Market! The employees are nice (I especially like the older man - whom I think is the owner?) and the store is clean and usually pretty well stocked. I appreciate that they have local seattle brands and asian foods/snacks, which can be inconvenient to find at normal grocery/convenient stores. They also have some decent ready-to-eat food, but my boyfriend and I really enjoy the made to order Boar's Head sandwiches. Their espresso is also pretty good - they have stumptown coffee. Like other's mentioned, they get their inventory from costco/hmart/etc and markup, but I have so many great college memories of running down to TMarket to satisfy a last minute ice cream/coffee/wine/chips craving that I don't mind at all. This place is crazy expensive. If it weren't a block away from my house and open late, I would never ever go there. The selection is not great either. I don't think that the fact that it's small is an excuse for the prices. The Woori Market down the street is smaller and has more exotic goods, and it's prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend going to the Trader Joe's just a block up if you're ever on this street and need groceries/household goods. read more

Trinity Market is such a convenient place for me since I just work at the U clinics. They are an awesome family and their sandwiches are scrumptious! They have a pretty decent amount of sandwich varieties and great coffee too. They also have a mini market where you can grocery shop some pantry essentials, snack, a small variety of fresh vegetables, beer, wine, etc. Also, they've got a few tables where you can eat too, but most of the time, it'll be full during rush hour lunch. They take phone orders too so that you can call ahead of time to avoid the rush hour lunch. Otherwise, you'll stand there for a couple minutes to wait for your sandwich. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. Other than produce this place has just about everything you might need. Huge selections of wine, beer, soda, chips and candy. The perfect one-stop shop for getting what you need to get drunk and snack binge. I can't forget about the food and coffee. Their sandwiches come out quick and delicious. Their coffee is just as great. Their employees are really friendly and the owner is an awesome guy. Always talkative and will always make you laugh. They have all the ingredients you need to make guacamole, they have raw organic honey, Ben & Jerry Americone Dream ice cream, BUGLES, Stumptown cold brew coffee, peeled hard boiled eggs, practically every soda known to man, All Dressed chips, kimchee... I've lived at the Trinity Apartments for over 2 years and have been a regular customer at the Trinity Market. The market is convenient and usually the service is pretty good. I made a small purchase this evening and paid with my credit card. To my surprise, the owner charged me an extra $0.40. When questioned, the owner responded that "there is a $0.40 credit card charge under $3." I replied that there was no visible sign stating as such, nor did he verbally tell me of said policy before adding the fee. The owner rudely said that since I had shopped there previously, I should have already known about this policy. He pointed to a blank spot on the wall where he claimed there used to be a sign, and said that he could just refuse service to me. Ultimately, he voided the transaction and I instead paid the $2.74 bill with $3 cash. He gave me $0.25 change, and when I asked for my proper change, he refused. Seems silly to argue over a couple of cents, but at the end of the day, it's about the principle of being treated fairly and the business ethics of Trinity Market. For convenience sake, I'll probably still shop here but will definitely keep an eye on the receipt in the future. read more
