I had a terrible experience with Trilogy Pool Service. I tried to speak to their service manager about ongoing issues with my pool, but they wouldn't let me. Instead, they just wanted to argue with me about the pool's performance, which was incredibly frustrating. When we finally fired Trilogy, the company we hired fixed the pool in just one day--something Trilogy failed to do despite charging me over $200 for chemicals that didn't solve any of the problems. I would never recommend Trilogy Pool Service to anyone. Their customer service is awful, and they clearly don't know how to properly maintain or repair a pool. Do yourself a favor and find a company that knows what they're doing. read more

We were with trilogy for 3 years. At first they were great but each month as we went along it seemed harder and harder to get good service. They wanted to exchange the pump for 1000$ we have home warranty but they repeatedly said it was broke it wasn't we looked at it ourselves our pool was never pristine. It seemed like they came out chemicals in would blame remaining leaves on the rest of the day between cleaning and us looking at it. Final straw is they say they are replacing parts that are under 25$ but they truly are not. I have seen this twice now. If you are not an easy to manage pool the decide w out notice to cancel your contract. We have neighbors w trees all around us we skim daily but there are a lot of leaves and debris they knew this going in and now after3 years it's not making them a profit on time or money. We decided to go with next level pools here in gilbert within 2 weeks they got to the bottom of the issue made a recommendation that did not gain them commission and are happy to help to save us time and money. For starters, it's hard to write this as my experience with the company started off really good. Hired Trilogy in the spring of 2021 to completely overhaul a 20 year old pool. Removed the plaster and went with Pebble-Tech coating plus new tiles at the water line, and new surface tile on the section between the in-ground spa and the pool. Brand new gas pool heater, limited new piping and other parts. Almost $25K in work. The pool looked great at completion, so we hired Trilogy for the weekly pool maintenance. The first 7-8 months were good. A high turn-over of technicians, but supposedly not uncommon in this industry. In general the guys that came out were knowledgeable about the system and how to maintain everything. Then a few little issues started. A lot of efflorescence started building up on the grout of the water line tiles and nearly all of the small tiles between the spa and pool. Grout started failing in this section as well. I pointed it out to the technicians weekly to figure out why, and they all stated it was a common thing with pools, and there wasn't really anything they could do about it (more on this later). In July of 2022 we bought a rental property with a pool and hired Trilogy again, this time to add a pool heater and perform the weekly maintenance. It was a Hayward heating system ($6K plus another $2K+ for new electrical and labor to install it). Paid the 50% deposit and waited on the unit. Once installed, it didn't work. I noticed the temp of the pool wasn't changing. I notified Trilogy only to be told to give it a few days. I checked it daily for 3-4 days straight and it was often cooler than the previous day. Meanwhile, Trilogy kept asking for the balance of payment. I explained I would pay the balance when the brand new pool heater was working, but not before. When they finally came out they confirmed it wasn't heating, just as I had been saying for nearly a week. However, they claimed it was now a "warranty repair issue", and said I would need to work through the Hayward warranty dept to fix it...and asked again for full payment. Again, I stated I had paid for a brand new heater and what they installed was a broken heater, and I wasn't paying the balance until my new unit worked or was replaced. The Hayward warranty contractor came out, determined it was a bad compressor (on a brand new unit) and it would need to be replaced. After much back and worth with Trilogy on next steps, Hayward released a new heater to replace the original. Great! A few days later the new unit was in, and after giving it one week to make sure this unit was heating properly, I paid the balance as promised. Then, 2 days after I made payment of the balance, I received an email from Trilogy stating they were dropping us as a client. What? Why? The email stated they couldn't keep up with our communication standards? The only communication we asked for was that they follow the contract as written. It was weird. I said fine, we'll find someone else to maintenance the pools, but we wanted the tiles and grout fixed still because at this point the grout was failing, chipping out and several small tiles had fallen out. Took pictures and sent to Trilogy, but all I got back was an email stating their workmanship/labor warranty is only 1 year, so there was nothing they could do. In studying up on the issue, Trilogy used the wrong grout (without built in sealer - plenty of articles on this issue) which leads to efflorescence and grout failure. They may also have rushed the install process and not allowed the mortar to properly dry before installing the tile. This was a vendor I had paid over $30K on 2 projects plus weekly maintenance for a little over 1 year. They used the wrong material and/or improper installation, then failed to address the issue while within the 1 year warranty period. Then they dropped us immediately after we challenged them on it. No discussion, no conversation, just an email dropping us and saying we were out of luck on an issue they created. LOOK ELSEWHERE! read more

When I had issues with my pool they put a new filter system in. It has broken every year since it was installed. I can never speak to a service I staller, I have to speak to the receptionist. They came out while I wasn't home replaced the broken part sent me an email with pictures telling me it was fixed but because the pressure was too high and left it off my pool is NOT FIXED I AM DONE. read more

Our pool was an absolute mess, from crumbling rolled bond beam to looking like a green pond. We needed our deck extended on one side, new pool tile, boulders removed and new pebble tech. Now some woman named Sara thinks it's cool to snarl at customers when they mention that the work isn't being done correctly. After 4 requests to speak with the owners, Office Manager Sara still insists that they are "hard to get hold of." Well...I guess that would be why their business is falling apart. Should have read the other reviews. This was the worst service I've had in a long time. Trilogy came to my house assessed, my issue and gave me a quote to fix a broken pipe. They came on a Friday morning. I talked to Anthony, told him to let me know if he needed anything and went back inside to work. I got a call from the office about an hour and a half later asking if I received their text. I looked at my phone. Turns out it was too difficult for him and he left. Didn't knock to let me know, just left. Luckily I found someone else that came and quickly fixed it. read more

Great listening to what my pool needs were, quick to answer and respond and extremely helpful! Our pool needed to be drained, power washed and acid washed. Anthony at Trilogy pools is awesome! I've been using his services for about 10 years. He is always on time or early, dependable, reliable, and most importantly very honest. He thoroughly explains the issue, and the most cost effective way to fix it. I've shopped his prices and he's always very reasonably priced, even though he goes above and beyond the needed repair. Trilogy pools is ok but you have to watch out. They changed the settings on our system so the salt cell was not turned on and adjusted the pool so the spa was in constant spillover and the pump was adjusted to a high speed for almost 18 hours a day. This not only used excessive electricity but also our in floor cleaning system was not working optimal. I noticed on our monthly bills we were being charged extra for chlorine tablets and algae chemicals. what our $180/mo was now in the $220 range. Just beware of the service you are getting. In my opinion 10 minutes a week and adding tablets to our salt system did not feel like we were getting what we paid for. read more

POOL OWNER BEWARE. I called and originally asked for a 1 time cleaning. When the owner arrived, he talked me into 1 month of service... But they were in the middle of a billing cycle because it was the 3rd week of February. So I paid in total $106 for 6 weeks of service($85 for 1 month and $21 for the additional cleaning) ......he only showed up twice. After calling for several weeks (I called 4 times and my bf called too) , I finally get an email back saying that they don't offer only one month of service and the two times he came out fulfilled the amount I paid. We agreed verbally to 6 weeks of service and I paid cash.... I guess that's the easiest way to screw people out of their money. There are a lot of other pool service companies out there, avoid this one like the plague. They are not honest and offer prices in person that they don't honor. read more

I had pool motor dead in the water I called end of day on Sat. They immediately helped me out. I had new pump & motor-installed on Monday. The best part is Anthony came by to walk me through new system. If I was to go with other pool company (the one in every strip mall) They had a service tech to come out in 10 days. No thx. Anthony has been servicing my pool for two years. And now he he decides that is no longer going to service our pool because of the trees in the back yard. Yes the trees need trimmed I get that. However I just paid the man 500 dollars to drain my pool and change the sand in the filter. He couldnt be bothered to come back the next day and remove the old sand from my yard, or turn the faucet on and start filling up my pool. Has no problem taking my hard earned money. He sends my husband a text this morning saying he is no longer going to be servicing our pool, which is fine.. His employees are slow as hell, his wife who answers the phone would not know what good customer service is if it bit her in the face! Will not be recommending this company ever! read more

PET OWNERS BEWARE! I have used Trilogy for almost a year. About 2 months ago the technician left the gate open and my dogs escaped. Luckily the neighbors saw them and took them in until I could get home. I called and let them know and was reassured that the technician would close the gate. It happened again. It is probably the easiest thing a technician has to do when they are at a customers house is close the gate and leave it like you found it. Also, I had at least a half of a months worth of service which I prepaid for, no refund offered, but like previous reviews have said they sure will get you for partial months when you sign up. There are too many pool companies in the valley to choose from and I highly recommend if you love your pets or children for that matter choose a different pool company.
