We are very happy with our new hot tub that we purchased from Jeremy and Henry at Southwest Spas…read more They were nice enough to hold on to our tub at their facility until we were able to get HOA approval, 220v electrical hook-up and breaker, and a small travertine patio extension built for the hot tub. When we first came into the store, Henry was so thorough in his explanation of the different features of the spa we were interested in purchasing. The electrician (Nick) and the landscape person who installed our patio extension(Jose) who were recommended to us by Henry and Jeremy were also terrific. Once we had the spa delivered, I had some questions about some of the features of the tub, chemicals, as well as a small issue with one of the diverters that was leaking. I drove over to Southwest Spa to speak to someone in person, and Jeremy was kind enough to take the time to answer my questions, and also instructed me how to fix the diverter leak when I got home, and it worked perfectly after that. Easy-peasy! Having our own spa at our home has been on my husband and my bucket list for YEARS. We are so happy we were finally able to make it happen with the assistance of Southwest Spas!

I tried Grainger and they referred me to a spa warehouse (Sunset Spas)across the street. the young woman in front was very helpful and supplied me with the union o rings and the flange at the heater but didn't have the volute ring and she referred me to Spaworks. i called them immediately and spoke with a very pleasant employee who told me that they had exactly what I needed. I noticed it had eight speakers in it, and I asked the salesman whose name was Chris, whether the spa had Bluetooth and he assured me that it did. We bought the spa with the understanding it had Bluetooth. He gave me warranty paperwork which indicated the sound system was covered for 6 months as a used spa. When we got the spot installed at our house, we discovered that the Bluetooth did not work and Desert hot tubs sent out a succession of service people who told me I just didn't know how to operate it. (I do know how to operate Bluetooth!) and then explained to me that in a later session that they didn't have the parts to fix it and after waiting for over six months to get someone to come out and fix it, I received a call from Tricia, their service manager, who assured me that they were going to honor their commitment to fix the Bluetooth in the spa that I purchased even though more than six months had expired. She admitted their service department had dropped the ball. One week later I received a call from Tricia telling me that they were not going to honor their promise to fix the spa because the contract said Desert Hot Tubs was not obligated to honor verbal promises...only what is stated in the contract. They said this spa was no longer under warranty and that I had not read the fine print in the contract which said that regardless of the salesman's promises the only thing that really counts is the contract. They also told me the salesman is no longer with them...as if that had some bearing on the situation. I've been in business a very long time and any ethical business that I've worked with always honors the promises the salespeople make, particularly in something this straightforward. They initially acted as if they should be responsible for fixing the Bluetooth and then later decided that they weren't going to fix the Bluetooth. I would strongly recommend not ever buying any equipment from Desert Hot Tubs. I would further recommend not trusting anything that any of their sales people tell you. And finally, I would recommend staying away from a business whose ownership responds to customers in this fashion.

Later, I had an issue with a jet malfunctioning and repeated phone calls and messages were ignored and not returned, I hired someone else to fix the jet. After owning the Spa slightly less than 2 years, one of the "volcano jets" broke apart, and I needed replacement parts and installation. The parts were still under warranty so I tried contacting these folks by phone, email and through their website beginning in November. Once someone actually answered the phone and said service would call me back, which of course never happened. Eventually, I contacted Aspen Spas directly and complained - surprise, the next day Zach from Kokomo called me about my part. Aspen did send the part I needed, but unfortunately they sent it to Kokomo and not to me. A person named Brady called me to let me know the part was in and said he'd drop it off at my house since it was on his way home. That was nice, except Brady was a no-show. When I called and texted Brady's number, I never got any answer and no further response from him or anyone. Over the weekend I went to their shop and spoke to Luke, who found my part and gave it to me. Luke also gave me his card with his cell phone and e-mail, and apologized for the bad service saying to call or e-mail him directly next time. When I tried to install the part myself, I couldn't do it because I lacked the tools I needed to get the jet housing off. I texted, emailed and called Luke to schedule a service call, and no response for more than a week. I reached out directly to their service person (I had gotten his contact info previously from the original delivery of my spa), and he said he hadn't heard anything from Kokomo about me needing service but he asked me for a picture of the part to be installed, which I sent, and he said it looked like the wrong part and my spa might need to be re-plumbed. These people are jokers and while not the absolute worst customer service, it's pretty bad. I suppose they could have lost my part when it got shipped to them rather than to me - thank you for keeping my replacement part and giving it to me. As for the rest, I won't darken your door again and I strongly suggest everyone else avoid this place also.

He figured out the issue with my POOL! I recently had it remodeled. And Garcia Pools (owner Yoshi) crappy customer SERVICE for an owner of a pool service and at this point dishonest - never replaced my caps in my pool!! By keeping my caps, it guaranteed my pool would not work. Well, come to find out those caps hold pressure in the pool so it works properly. They wanted to charge an additional $600 to fix air leaks in my pool, but in reality, if they had just returned my end caps... The pressure in my pool would have held. David assessed each of my pop-ups. Three needed to be replaced. He was a trouble shooter. So if you have had long time issues with your pool, and specifically if you have a self cleaning pool that you are having a hard time troubleshooting I highly recommend David to come out and look at it. He's a smart guy and honest. He did the hard work to figure out my mystery. I had one pop up that wasn't working at all and so no water flow was going through it. And that's when he realized that I was missing all of my end caps on my pool which regulates my pressure. The same end caps.... YOSHI removed but never replaced. Thanks David. You did an great job. You actually analyzed my issue with the pool. (602) 795-4466 I'm am beyond happy.

This has been the worst experience for a new pool build. Both my father and I built with Tribal Waters several years ago. We both opted for the Salt Water Pools. From day one we suspected a leak in the Pool as it would not hold salt. I continuously took water samples to Leslie's Pool Supply to be repeatedly told that salt cannot evaporate. It can only be diluted down by fresh water or drained out. Even though I was adding 4 bags of salt plus per month the owner refused to acknowledge any kind of leakage. He simply stated that it can't be possible. I am from Canada and own a vacation property in Phoenix. My water bills have been double that of my fathers with identical homes and usage from day one. It wasn't until just recently when I received $600 water bill for one month that I knew I had a real problem. I made a special trip down from Canada to see what was going on. I noticed a wet spot around the water makeup line that feeds the pool. After digging down into the soil I noticed the line was cracked in half and had been running wide open for over a month. I also noticed staining around the crack which tells me it had been leaking for some time but finally completely blew apart. There was also a massive leak around the skimmer. After both leaks were repaired my water bill was half of what it previously was and comparable to my fathers. Over the past several years, I have lost thousands of dollars in water and chemicals due to a pool builder that refused to acknowledge a problem from day one. When I asked the owner what he thought he just sorta laughed and said "It's fixed". The remote nor the boiler have never worked correctly from day one. I have since replaced the remote and tuned the boiler myself to get it to operate correctly. Thank goodness I am a plumber as the repairs would have been very costly. All of the automated valves have failed and have since been replaced by myself at my expense as well. Be prepared that if you build with these guys you will have NO SERVICE what so ever! There are many options available out there and I suggest doing your research first!! read more

Overall Review: We recently had an inground pool installed by Tribal Waters, and I'm happy with the final result. The pool looks great, and our backyard is truly transformed. The company partnered with Keystone Landscaping to complete the overall design and installation, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. That being said, there were a few challenges throughout the process that I feel are worth mentioning. Sales Process: The sales process was a bit of a struggle for us. It's important to note that once you sign the contract, making changes becomes incredibly difficult. I would highly recommend being extremely thorough in the planning stage, as Tribal Waters tends to be very rigid about changes post-signing. I genuinely feel bad for our sales representative, Chris, because it's clear that upper management doesn't provide the support he needs, which put him in a tough position when we needed to make adjustments. The manager I dealt with was downright rude, which only added to the frustration. Project Management and Coordination: Despite the challenges with sales, the rest of the team was fantastic to work with. Our superintendent, Jeff, was absolutely amazing. He was always professional, approachable, and committed to finding solutions when issues arose. His dedication and problem-solving skills made a huge difference in the overall experience. Additionally, Yolanda, our project coordinator, was exceptional. She kept us updated throughout the entire process, ensuring we knew what to expect every step of the way. Final Thoughts: While the sales and management sides of things left a lot to be desired, the final result speaks for itself. Our backyard looks incredible, and I'm grateful for the hard work Jeff and Yolanda put in to make it happen. If you're considering Tribal Waters for a pool installation, I would advise being meticulous during the sales process and making sure all your expectations are clear upfront. Splashing Success: A Review of Our New Pool and Spa Installation From the moment we decided to add a new pool and spa to our backyard, the team at Tribal Waters guided us through every step with professionalism and expertise. The design phase was a breeze thanks to Jim O'Connor, who listened attentively to our ideas and seamlessly translated them into a blueprint that exceeded our expectations. He was very patient. We went back and forth on several different ideas with him. By the end of the design phase, the space was beautiful, blending seamlessly with our desert landscape and becoming an instant focal point of our home. The construction process was swift and efficient, with the crew showing up on time and working diligently to bring our vision to life. Special thanks to Dion and his crew. Dion managed the project, communicated effectively and ensured no days were wasted during construction. Any issues were addressed immediately (even after hours). We were recommended to TRIBAL WATERS by an acquaintance and couldn't be happier with our results! We had brought in our own architectural pool design and met with their designer to bring our visions to reality. He guided us through picking tiles, pool color, to the stone for the pool and decking along with the outdoor kitchen. He gave us all the pros and cons of what different types of products offered and explained the process and procedures along the way. From the very beginning the office staff kept us up to date with the scheduling, and the process of the build. From e-mails, calls and texts we were always informed of what to expect. There was never any information that was left unknown, because someone always knew the answer, and if not they knew who to contact. Supervisors always answered texts, Technicians, masons, plumbers, electricians, etc. always showed up when we expected them. Throughout the process we digitally documented everything with pictures and it was helpful for the landscapers coming in after TRIBAL WATERS left and having to know where to dig, or more importantly where NOT to dig. We enjoy looking back at the pictures and keep them as a permanent reminder of what all went in to building our beautiful pool. Thank you TRIBAL WATERS we couldn't be happier! read more

Tribal Waters is an AWESOME pool company. We are so happy with our new pool/backyard and very impressed with how smoothly everything turned out, from the design to the completion in what we thought was record time. Clint our design guy came out to our place and was very nice to work with on our design. Within a few days he came up with a design that fit perfectly in our backyard. Yolanda was very nice to work with too, she provided us with a timeline, and she called and emailed us on the progress knowing that we were out of town most of the time. She was definitely on top of things. We really appreciate it. Jeff the supervisor was great to work with and stopped by often to check on the progress. We were able to meet with him at the house a few times and he was there to answer our questions. Also James gave a wonderful orientation on the pool, he explained a lot of things that made it easy for us novice pool clients to understand. We are definitely planning to hire James' team to monitor and maintain our pool. The whole team at Tribal Waters is wonderful! A big Thank You to the team! Our pool installation from beginning to end was excellent. Our salesman was Chris. We knew exactly what type of pool we wanted from the start. He respected our decision and did not pressure us to purchase or upsell us on things we didn't want. He did offer us some possible alternatives to our design which was wonderful. Our pool superintendent was Jeff. He did a great job following through from the start to the end. He explained the building process thoroughly. This is our second pool build, and if you think that things are going to go perfect from beginning to end, you would be very lucky. Any issues that we had, Jeff took care of immediately.. Normally, when people get upset, it is from a lack of communication. We never had that problem with tribal pools at all. Lastly, Yolanda was a superstar communicating each day what was going to happen with our pool build. I received emails from her as early as four in the morning, to let me know whom would be working on my pool that day. That is great customer service. My first pool build, was by one of the big Phoenix pool companies, and the communication was horrible. I definitely would recommend tribal pools. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Tribal Waters! From start to finish, the entire team was incredible and made the process of building our dream pool smooth and stress-free! Yolanda, our Coordinator, was absolutely amazing. She kept us updated every single week without fail and was always so prompt in getting back to us whenever we had a question. Her communication was top-notch, and it really made a huge difference in keeping everything on track. Jeff, our Superintendent, was just as fantastic. He made sure every aspect of the build was done with quality in mind and always made time to address any of our needs or concerns. His attention to detail and commitment to doing things right gave us so much peace of mind. I had an awesome experience with Tribal Waters! We built a new Toll Brothers home in North Scottsdale in 2024 and hired Tribal Waters to build our pool and spa. From start to finish they were professional, organized and easy to work with. It started with John, my salesman. John made the purchase and design process easy. John really knows his product very well and demystified pool buying decisions for me. He also followed up throughout the entire process. Dion was my superintendent. Dion is a total professional. He explained everything about the build process and always replied quickly to any questions that I had along the way. He truly cared about us and wanted to make sure everything was happening the way we wanted it. Our coordinator was Yolanda. Yolanda is super organized and so easy to work with. She always replied quickly with any of my questions and made sure we were getting what we need when we need it. James has done the post-construction start up and orientation with me. Save yourself some time and money and call Michael at Tribal Waters today! My project was a pool remodel, new spa and other items such as a pool heating system. Overall my rating is 5 stars because not only did the end product exceed my expectations but because Michael is knowledgeable, prompt, experienced and has a good attitude. From the start when I began to research companies & get quotes Michael was a step above the rest and as the project progressed he did an outstanding job. Projects like these, even the smaller ones, will hit speed bumps along the way and having a competent point person is a necessity. Mother nature doesn't always comply and pieces, parts and people can have hiccups too. If I had to point out an area of improvement I would suggest better support for Michael. The office support staff can test your patience as I found they don't always follow up as promptly or communicate updates or changes very well. Overall the pool looks amazing, the spa is awesome and the biggest compliment I can give is a referral. WOW if you're deciding on a pool company TRIBAL WATERS is the way to go! They back their product like no other and are obviously based on integrity and "doing the right thing" regardless of what the legal mumbo jumbo reads. I had a fabulous team of 3 where Dion was "The Man", Anthony was "The Go To Guy" and Karli was "The Tracker". Dion was absolutely amazing, he analyzed the problem, clearly defined the plan to resolve it and orchestrated execution the next day. Anthony and Dion as a team diligently drained, acid washed, repaired and restored my waterfall system and had my pool refilled all within a few days, I was AMAZED! This all happened in the 112% temps we recently experience here in Arizona, that's HARD WORK!. Tribal built our pool for us and did a very quality job. They were on top of it and very communicative the whole time. Our pool was built in the middle of Covid so there were some delays in some of the products like concrete and some other things that we had to wait quite a while for but they were great to communicate with us and keep on top of everything so that we always knew what to expect, and as soon as products became available, they scheduled and had it done as soon as possible Our pool has been done for two summers and we have thoroughly enjoyed it. if there's ever warranty issues that arise, they are on top of it! Brandon has been great in the warranty department.... i've been able to get through to him same day and he always jumps on issues super fast and gets them taken care of for us right away. We are now a little more than a year into our Tribal Waters built pool, and aside from some minor hiccups our experience has been top notch. Tribal uses quality contractors who produce quality results, and our build has zero flaws. Some Highlights: During the design stage, Jeremy was extremely helpful and had the creative foresight to recommend some excellent adjustments. Robert was our go to guy during the build and he was very prompt and kept things moving as quickly as possible. Our experience with Tribal Waters was fantastic right from beginning to end! We have had a lot of trouble getting contractors to return our call, or follow up if they actually did call us back. Tribal Waters contacted us the same day we called, set up an appointment for a few days later, and within 10 days, the design was complete and the contract was signed. In spite of the fact that the designer we worked with left the company the same day we signed, the work commenced two days later, ahead of schedule, and was completed 10 days later! The scope of work was huge, but the contractor they brought in to do the work was outstanding, very polite and professional, and helped us work through some issues that came up along the way. Our remodel experience working with Tribal Waters Pools was great. From the start our sales person, Kane was very helpful, providing computer animation of how our refinishing was going to look as well as making recommendations on the pebble-sheen, travertine, waterline tiles, inserts and lights. Yolanda, our coordinator communicated each week as to what was finished and what was going to take place in the subsequent weeks. Jarrod, our project manager was great to work with. He kept all of the different teams on task and the quality of their work was top-notch. Best of all, they hit all of their benchmark timelines and we were finished before the temperatures got warm. I had the best experience in dealing with Tribal Waters! I had a hard time deciding on style and features and Kaitlin very patiently worked with me in the design and price. From the moment the contract was signed, the pool construction moved along wonderfully. Yolanda was extremely competent in keeping me informed on what would be happening and when. Every person that was sent for the various phases of construction was courteous and efficient and I absolutely have no complaints. Our superintendent Randy went above and beyond and answered ALL of my questions and went so far as to pick up a sliding door alarm for me on his own time since I mistakenly tried to purchase the incorrect on at Home Depot. Choosing Tribal Waters was best decision we made when building our new pool! Everyone on their team was fantastic! Jeremy in the design and sales department was able to incorporate our ideas and bring them to life. Yolanda kept us up-to-date and followed up on any issues that arose during construction. Our project manager, Robert, oversaw each portion of the build. Finally, Brandon, in the warranty department, has been incredibly responsive and accommodating whenever we had to fix a minor issue. We would use them again in heartbeat! We interviewed numerous pool builders and Tribal was one of the few that actually came to home to view our backyard. All in all, it took about 4 months to complete the project from design, permits, and start to finish, and this seems on par with other pool building companies in our communities. Their crew worked in the dead heat of our Arizona summer heat waves and although we offered coolers for them, they were self prepared. I am happy to report that after enjoying our pool for a full year, no issues to be reported of the pool. Kangaroo pools have remained in contact, and fixed any issues (very minor) that cropped up. Vince, Vanessa, German and their teams coordinated well and were responsive in their texts throughout the build. The key to working well with them is making sure you're ontop of your own communication, articulation, and clarity. If you consider yourself a good communicator, then working with Kangaroo pools will be a breeze and you can benefit from fair pricing out of the 5 other pool services we contacted and compared with during the time. I was very particular about the drainage and irrigation out of the yard, and they listened to my feedback, and did not hesitate to dig back up the corrogated piping and his crew was accommodating and did it the way I wanted. We are very happy we hired Kangaroo Pools to build our pool! After calling and setting up an appointment, David Newland came out the next day with a detailed folder that included both packages. I confirmed that I wanted the $34,750 option, and asked him to send me a quote based on that package after measuring my backyard. I understood there would be some additional costs, such as excavation and fees for limited access through a standard residential gate that 99% of homes have which roughly adds 1-2k max. However, the final quote came in at $47,000--far exceeding the advertised package price. In my view, this felt like false advertising and was a major waste of time. I strongly encourage others to be cautious and do their research before committing. My partner and I entered into a contract with Hotshot Hardscaping on January 12, 2026, with the…read moreexpectation that our project would be completed by the end of April. Permits were finalized at the end of February, and construction began during the first week of March. At the beginning of the project, communication was excellent. The design team kept us informed of progress, timelines, and any challenges that arose. Unfortunately, as we approached the expected completion date, communication steadily declined. It eventually reached the point where we had to repeatedly email or call to receive status updates. Not to mention we have a jacuzzi spa getting installed & the dealer keeps calling asking when do we expect to coordinate delivery. Unfortunately we are two months behind the expected completion so at this point we have no clue. Because we have security cameras on our property, we were able to observe the work as it progressed. During the project, I frequently noticed trash left behind by contractors, including energy drink cans, water bottles, and food wrappers. In one instance, I observed a worker throw a can into our fire pit before covering it with gravel and lava rock. This level of carelessness was disappointing and unprofessional. It also became apparent that Hotshot relies heavily on subcontractors. During the installation of the sprinkler water line, the team was also supposed to account for a future extension for our misting system. Unfortunately, the water supply line for the misting system was never run, causing delays and additional work later. Additionally, the light for the misting fan was not connected. When we brought this to their attention, we discovered there had been no plan to connect it to the designated power switch unless we specifically requested it. It is now the later part of June 2026 and the project has still not concluded, with no update or communication in the last two weeks. Overall, the project felt disorganized. There rarely appeared to be a project manager onsite coordinating work or ensuring subcontractors understood the next steps. This lack of oversight resulted in missed details, delays, and unnecessary frustration. What makes this experience particularly surprising is Hotshot Hardscaping's nearly perfect 5-star rating. Based on our experience, either the level of professionalism and project management has declined significantly, or the reviews do not accurately reflect the customer experience. Either way, our experience was the complete opposite of what we expected based on the company's reputation. The contrast is so significant that it's difficult to believe we worked with the same company described in many of the reviews. While the project is slowly moving forward, the lack of communication, poor job-site cleanliness, missed installation details, and apparent lack of project oversight made the experience far more stressful than it should have been. I hope the company takes these concerns seriously and improves its communication, supervision, and quality control processes for future customers.

I contacted the Arrowhead and they sent out Scott who took measurements and explained what they would do to transform our deck from 2000 to 2024! Scott gave us a very fair quote and we decided to go along with Arrowhead to do our project. The next person that I was introduced to is Cory, who is the Project Manager. Cory was friendly, always smiling and gave us a fresh, relaxed feeling about our project. We were very apprehensive, but Cory explained everything they would be doing and calmed any apprehensions that we had. Cory was very thorough at how the process goes from how they will cover the pool water and tape all the surfaces off so they can concentrate on the work that they do. The first process was to remove this big boulder that we had on the deck and a bunch of small stones that were embedded in concrete. The crew came out and hand removed all embedded stones and a hand chiseled this huge boulder away. It took them all day, but when they left, we couldn't even tell that they had done all this work because the yard was SO CLEAN and area fresh concrete and it looked really beautiful. Cory stopped by to make sure everything was OK and said that the next crew out would be the "Pool Brothers"! Juan, who is the supervisor of the Pool Brothers, came out and said that his crews are the crews that will grind off the existing surface and then reapply all the various layers to complete the project. Every step of the way, Juan would ask if we wanted to come out and take a look, even though it wasn't necessary, which I thought was very professional Then we got to the point where we had to pick our colors and Juan took his time and didn't rush and showed us pictures of previous jobs they had performed and give us his thoughts of what would look best with our house paint color, and our pool color and landscape. When they were done, Juan had us come out and take a look and we were just blown away at how beautiful our new Deck & Patio was! Juan explained the process that we had to stay off the deck for 4 days and Juan said not to put the furniture back on the surface for another 3 days for a total of 7 days. My wife and I are so happy and ecstatic at how Arrowhead Deck & Pool has taken our old tired deck & patio and transformed it into a new deck & patio. Don't even consider another company, save your time and go with Arrowhead Deck & Pool! Tell them Jeff & Geri told you to call! And you want to deal with Scott, Cory & Juan!
