I didn't realize at the time but David the founder came out to troubleshoot my pool. I am little far from his area that he services but after hearing about my issue, he came by. He figured out the issue with my POOL! I recently had it remodeled. And Garcia Pools (owner Yoshi) crappy customer SERVICE for an owner of a pool service and at this point dishonest - never replaced my caps in my pool!! By keeping my caps, it guaranteed my pool would not work. Well, come to find out those caps hold pressure in the pool so it works properly. They wanted to charge an additional $600 to fix air leaks in my pool, but in reality, if they had just returned my end caps... The pressure in my pool would have held. David assessed each of my pop-ups. Three needed to be replaced. He was a trouble shooter. So if you have had long time issues with your pool, and specifically if you have a self cleaning pool that you are having a hard time troubleshooting I highly recommend David to come out and look at it. He's a smart guy and honest. He did the hard work to figure out my mystery. I had one pop up that wasn't working at all and so no water flow was going through it. And that's when he realized that I was missing all of my end caps on my pool which regulates my pressure. The same end caps.... YOSHI removed but never replaced. Thanks David. You did an great job. I sit and read the reviews on this page for Emerald and wonder why we were treated so differently. We never saw a Rep from Emerald on the days their crews were on site, we had to point out errors in what they were doing and only after asking for someone to show up did they. No one knocked, we were required to leave a yard open at all times and sometimes on planned crew days no one showed up or we were told of the visit the morning of. We were told that's how this business works, no one knocks. Our pool would due to be done early august, it wasn't finished till around the first of October. I'm not so frustrated by that as I am by the way we were treated, I guess not having a "million dollar" home means poor service. I still can't get a response to sign up for the extended warranty and it's been about two weeks. I do however love the pool that was put in, but no one has shown up to say your pool is done or check that we are happy. I guess we're done??? There were other issues that came up throughout the process, trash left in the yard after each crew left, materials for the pool left in the dirt out of the box for weeks, cracks in the pool decking joints 6 weeks after it was poured, no compaction done or very little, electrical wire size not adequate for the type of service it would be used for.... We knew going in our yard would be tore up for weeks and we would have to deal with the contractors, we only asked for good communication and hoped more attention would have paid to the install process by the company hiring the subs to do the work and that wasn't the case. read more

Can't say enough about the pool remodel Emerald Pools just completed for us. They started three weeks early (great!) and finished in under two weeks! Our newly remodeled pool looks amazing. They had to do a lot of demo and added new travertine, new tile line and new stack stone. They helped us select the perfect colors of stone to match all our existing flagstone. Blends beautifully. Emerald Pools built our pool and spa over a year ago. No idea why I've waited so long to review them. We had 4 estimates for the same basic design and they were not only the least expensive, but the most responsive. David (the owner) gave us at contract signing a "you should by swimming date" that seemed way too optimistic. To our surprise they met that date and kept every promise they made. The pool, spa and deck exceeded our expectations. Everyone who sees our yard raves about how cool it looks. We're in the process of buying a house with a GREEN pool in the area (we live in CA at the moment). We had David, the owner of Emerald, build our new pool. We are so happy! It turned out fabulous!! We were impressed with the level of service and quality of contractors he used for every step. It went along as scheduled, with great attention to detail. Our pool looks like something you'd see at a resort, he took our vision and made it even better than what we had imagined. We love that it is a family operation as well. His son Jacob is the service part of the business after the pool is built, and he is awesome too! Ordered a part and paid for 2nd day air Fedex. They emailed notified the part shipped and provided a tracking number on May 26th. We still have not received the order and the tracking number in fedex.com still says "label created and info sent to fedex". After several attempts to email back, the emails were sent back undeliverable. I called the store and left messages with no return call. We had no choice but to contact the credit card company to inform them this was a fraudulent charge. Placed a new order with Amazon. I would suggest you not order anything from Emerald Pool and Spa. The customer service is horrible and it would appear this is some scam online ordering. The brick and mortar I have not experienced but the online service is a scam read more

We recently moved to the Rio Verde area of Scottsdale and wanted a pool. I was referred to David Fladhammer the owner of Emerald Pools while planning our move. Our experience since then has been amazing. Within a month David visited our home, in Scottsdale, listened to what we wanted, and provided us with a fantastic design. Before we moved to AZ we had the design plans, permit, and contract completed. Shortly after moving the process began, and what an amazing experience! Someone was working on something every day, we were advised what was going to happen and when....totally organized, and monitored. When I say monitored, I mean David would visit several times a week if not daily to personally inspect what was happening. The pool was completed in a timely fashion at a very fair price!
