I've used this company for a few years. The workers have been fine but always upselling. Management has been subpar but ok until I canceled the service when Matt would only respond if there is money making project involved. I canceled the service but he continued to bill me. Every month I dispute the charge with chase and get my money back and ask him to cancel the billing and he says ok. Only to be billed again and again. Let me start saying my equipment is old but in good working condition . Before this company had my pool, everything was working in perfect condition and I have clear blue water . For a year this company was servicing my pool and starting to get green and milky after many months of frustration with them the owner told me I needed to drain my pool I did ,but because they didn't power washed my pool they didn't get rid of cyanuric acid in the walls and even didn't drain the pool completely mind you he charged me 300 plus my water so almost 500 in total . Today my levels of cyanuric acid were 100 meaning that I will need to drain my pool sooner than anticipated because he didn't do his job correctly. Other thing my pool has pop ups to clean the pool he stop turning them on ( he was using the vacuum I had ) so he told me that nothing work and everything was old and that is why it was green and milky and I needed to replace everything . We are talking thousands of dollars . Tired of excuses and bad job I fired them and I called other company they came they work for one hr to unclog the cleaning system ( not been used for a year it was full of air and dry debris) he unclogged and now everything is working perfectly my pool is getting clear only one night everything working and the levels are now right ( all the levels were low and remember he just " clean" my pool the day before . I'm so disappointed I know I should have fired them long time ago but I wanted to gave them the opportunity to do the right thing . My mistake I'm guessing ! One thing the service was 135 a month so not like it was a cheap service and my pool is a small pool . All that was only part of the problem the lack of professionalism and integrity was horrible . They gave me my last month back but I suffered for a year with they stealing my money and almost destroying my equipment . Matt, who is the owner of this Pool Service is by far the biggest scammer that I've ever met in my life. We moved out of our primary residence in August 2022 and trusted him to keep the pool in tact during the winter months. We faithfully paid him $135 per month on time, plus the recommended repairs that he suggested which totaled over $300 Every single week we received an email that our pool was "sparkling, clean" and yet upon arriving home last weekend, we found that our pool was green. I have text him countless times, called him numerous times, and he refuses to respond by phone as he's apparently not adult enough to have a conversation by phone when there's a problem or an issue. I will call him, he won't answer, yet he will text back ? I would highly recommend that nobody EVER do business with Rockman Pool Service. He is rude, unprofessional, and a true scammer. All I wanted was for him to just make this right, and he refused to do so. Sad to see that a small business owner doesn't take pride in his work anymore. Great service and quality work. Thanks to the recommendation of my neighbors, we have used Matt and Rockman Pool Service for two years now. We have enjoyed our pool very much because it is always clean and has just the right amount of chemicals. Matt and his technicians come weekly during the summers, and because we have a small, easy to maintain pool, Matt worked out a less frequent cleaning schedule that suited out budget over the winter months. We know when they come because our pool looks awesome and there is a blue note left next to the pool. Matt is fair and offers quick responses whenever we have had any problems.
